Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
📍 Located in Haden, the Wahoon Lookout is praised for its 180-degree panoramic views over the hills and valleys of the Emu Creek area. Situated 1 minute to Haden, 10 minutes from Goombungee, 45 mins to Toowoomba, 20 minutes to Crow’s Nest and 2 hours from Brisbane, it is the perfect spot for a weekend escape or stay a week. 🐂 The property forms part of a Black Angus Stud and as such at times cattle will be grazing the area. ☕️ The Haden Shop is a short 500m walk into town and serves tasty coffee on the weekends. The Haden park offers a playground for the kids and a basketball court. 🎨🚴‍♂️ The region offers a miriad of things to do, the High Country Hamlets website has further details - [xxxxxxxx] As proud descendants of the first settlers to the area we hope you love, appreciate and respect its natural beauty as much as we do. 📌 Town Name Change History: Haden railway station, located in Haden, was originally named Wahoon but was renamed Haden in 1912 to avoid confusion with a station at Walloon.This site has stunning views and a flat area with plenty of room to turn around as needed. Multiple vehicles will easily fit across the two acre area. There are a few trees to navigate around but they can provide shade if wanted. Guests will need to be fully self contained with their own toilet facilities.

The views where amazing, , and it was a very quite area . Unfortunately the wind was very strong and didn't get to enjoy sitting around outside by a camp fire . But that's mother nature . Lots of cow manure around the whole sites and levelling our van was a challenge .

This is my 1st time to this camp and it is one of the best camps I’ve been to. The views are spectacular, check out my photos and my video that I’ll upload to YouTube on my channel Stress Less Camp More on the 1st August ‘26. Absolutely loved this place, I’ll definitely be heading back again.

Stunning Vista! Easy with a Motorhome. Regardless of weather its a fabulous spot overlooking the valley. The dawn awakening was so beautiful. Easy to find, clean site and great communication with host.

Great site to camp at, with an amazing view and very local vibe. The towns nearby are Australian to say the least. Defo bring a jumper or two in the Winter.

A lovely quiet spot away from the city. Sit back, relax, take in the glorious views, sunset’s, star gazing was amazing, along with a beautiful sunrise. A great spot to wind down with a book and beverage by the fire.

Great place for a weekend away. Amazing view. Lots of space for everything you need. Lots of wood was gathered and sorted for us. It does get quite a bit windy up there so be sure to bring jumpers. Especially in winter. The ground is a little rough in some spots but there's mostly flat spots big enough for swags/tents. If your in a caravan or RTT then this won't bother you as much. Great scenic drive around the area. And make sure you bring lots of tent pegs otherwise the wind may steal your swag or something else
