Waverley Homestead circa 1908, is steeped in charm and character spanning 115 years, as an original working cattle farm. Pitch your tent amongst the shady trees overlooking the dam, abundant with wildlife. Enjoy an afternoon sunset beverage across the fields and breathtaking views to the famous Bunya Mountains, and Dalby town, both just a short 20 min drive away. Wide open skies sit over the lush pastures with beef cattle, sheep, and horses. Meet our resident peacocks and escape the hustle. Enjoy fresh farm eggs from the chickens and pick kalamata olives from the trees that line the stables and camp kitchen.
The property boasts an elegantly restored country estate homestead overlooking the orchard which is abundant with seasonal fruit including cherries, peaches, nectarines, pears, mulberries, and citrus. After a day of adventure, unwind at your campsite and discover the perfect blend of nature and history at our unique outback retreat.The Pines campsite is very roomy and located in a more secluded area where the shady pine trees grow. You will be overlooking the lush pastures towards Kaimkillenbun, with grazing beef cattle and to the North stunning views of the Bunya Mountains and sheep paddocks. Spectacular big sky sunsets are appreciated from this angle.
There is access to a toilet nearby, a short 5 min walk away.
The site is flat and grassy suitable for tents, caravans and RVs in dry weather only, with private gated access to your hideaway campsite.
