Foothills is a secluded property with tranquil views. There is a dam for swimming, stand up paddling and Kayaking. There is also good spots for hiking nearby. Site is beautifully situated on the top of a mountain within our property surrounded by national park. There's running hot water showers, a great dam to swim in, portable toilets. For those looking for a secluded weekend away this property is for you! We are situated 20mins from Esk, 50mins from Toowoomba and 1under 2hrs from Brisbane. Foothills

A short detour off the main Hampton-Esk road brings you to Foothills gate with views across the valley to the host’s house on next ridge and north west to the ranges beyond. There’s a choice of sites down the grassy ridge with twin demountable showers and toilets off to the side half way serviced by tank water and a gas hws. We used our own camp toilet. The tank water was great for our own shower hws. We were greeted as we set up camp and settled in for our week long stay. After rain the first night it cleared to brilliant blue sky all week and chilly air at sundown. There was plenty of comp firewood for our nightly campfire. Chloe’s pup came bounding up to visit our dog and they hung out playing all day. The resident cows and horses also came by although our dog got spooked by them munching grass at night. But that’s all part of a farm stay experience. There is a large dam down the valley to paddle in the warmer months. we were lucky to have it all to ourselves and plan to return and explore the 2 lakes nearby.

Best experience so far

For the Easter holidays we stumbled across this campsite by pure luck, but so thankful we did! As soon as we arrived we were politely greeted and navigated around the beautiful property, with a beautiful view. Chloe and her family were such good hosts it was unbelievable, offering us stacks of firewood and friendly conversation. Would definitely recommend this experience for anyone looking at camping.
