We are a short walk or drive from NASH Horse Treking for those who want to do a pub lunch ride on a horse. It is a fantastic experience so Google them to book. We are a very short 900m bicycle ride from the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail (BRVT) which is one of the must-do cycle treks in the southern hemisphere. If you or your crew need a place to stay while riding the trail then this is perfect for you. The town of Esk and two major dams are very close by where you can browse the antique shops, waterski, or fish to your heart's content. We are also close to Fernvale where there are big Sunday Markets.

Site 14 is the quietest and most secluded camp site we offer tucked away in the bush next to a dry creek bed. If you want to be away for everything then this is the place to be. - It is a 6 min walk to the Chicken Coupe - It is the same to the playground - Caravans will find it very hard to turn around here so only campervans are recommended as a max size

Site 8 is one of our mid sized spots perfect for a camper trainer or a small caravan but tents are also welcome. There is also a fireplace that can be eaily stacked with timber from the surrounding ground wood so please help us clear up the dead wood and you will not need to bring firewood. It is a short 2 minute walk to the chicken coupe to grap fresh eggs as well. It is a short 1 minute walk from the swings and trampoline as well.

Site 9 is our prime camping spot that most people with caravans or any large groups that do not want to be near any infrastructure like to be. It is quiet and tucked away with almost no traffic coming past you on the road. It is easy to get to and easy to get out of as well. Nice and flat too. - It is a 2 min walk to the chicken coupe to get fresh eggs - It is a 2 min walk to the playground There are 2 different fireplaces at opposite ends of the camp site as well.

We stayed at site 14 and it was perfect, tucked away at the back of the property where it was quiet and secluded. The two lovely dogs came and kept us company for the stay and loved the attention we gave them. Lots and lots of pats were given, we loved having the dogs company. Would highly recommend staying here.

Excellent off grid camping with 3 small children. We stayed at site 14. Endless supply of firewood. Close to Atkinson dam for a swim. If you want to be left alone from the world then site 14 is the spot. Simon is a 5 star host.

I went with a group of 8 and was allowed to swap from site 5 to site 9 as soon as we pulled up wich was super good for us because we could play music and be loud without any issues the farm dogs are super friendly and playful overall it’s a great spot especially if u want to go to the pokies while camping

Camping on Simon's property was a very pleasant and easy experience. Perfect for off-grid set ups. Plenty of wood you can collect on the property for firewood and close to Coominya to enjoy a pub meal.

I absolutely loved camping here, the owner was the absolute sweetest, the camp was easy to find, we got to choose our own campsite, the area was beautiful and best of all, Simon has two adorable dogs who love to hang around. 10/10 we will 100% be coming to camp again

Great place to camp bushy and private spots out of sight of others and cute little walks. Dog friendly too, we went with our own family but there was lots or of room cleared for a small group.

Camp site is smaller than we expected but worked. Nice and private look over the neighbours fence and all there horses. The dog on property make them selves at home and very friendly and welcoming. Simon came to check everything was ok and the left. Very relaxed atmosphere.

Friendly staff and lovely dogs. Perfect spot for relaxation and quality time with family and friends. Highly recommend for a getaway 1.5 hours away from Brisbane. Happy to come back again :). Thanks!!

We had a very nice stay at Somerset valley farm, we were in the overflow area which is at the front of the property. The host Simon is very friendly and hospitable, will visit again. The property is nice with your own private sites were you can have a fire, or there is also a communal fire bit area with table and chairs.

We had a very relaxing 3 night stay. Even though there were plenty other campers, it felt like we were the only ones there. Close to Esk and Fernvale (15min) with local markets on the weekend, dog friendly Atkinson Dam was also a short drive. Simon was an awesome host who made us feel welcome and gave us information about the area. Will definitely be back. Thanks Simon

We loved our stay at the farm. Simon was a great host and took a lot of time to make sure we were comfortable and happy with our site. The farm is in a beautiful location near local markets and sites are spread out enough that you feel like you are the only ones there. Thank you for having us, im sure we will be back.

This place was great. It's one of the rare occasions where you don't get what you paid for. You get much more. The sites down the back are private and quite. We stayed on site 12 it was nestled into the bush with a fire pit. Would definitely stay again.

A tranquil woodland cosy campsite with amazing hosts. Simon made us feel very welcome and his two sweet and energetic dogs not only guided us to our campsite but stayed with us all evening! Would highly recommend.

Great spot, quite secluded and close by to Esk/Coominya for any forgotten supplies. Had the two dogs hanging out with us most of the weekend and they were lovely.

Our host Simon was very easygoing and laid back. The site was probably smaller than I had imagined and with all the recent rain Simon was struggling to keep the grass down (though our site was mowed). We have a 21’ off road van and had to do some manoeuvring to get in and out but was no big deal. Lovely and close to the Brisbane Rail Trail and Atkinson Dam.

Great night away, camp sites were done really well with markers. Really enjoyable created by Simon the owner, our family had a great time experiencing the property. We met the property dogs which were the most well behaved dogs I have ever met, we played with the chickens 🐔 and the kids had a great weekend away. Thanks Simon your hospitality was 10/10! It was a pleasure and we felt so welcome.

This property is a beautiful part of the country. Simon is his dog's are working hard to keep the property safe and secure and reviving natural vegetation. Conveniently nearby to stores. The sounds of the birds is wonderful to awake too. Walking barefoot about the property is encouraged. There's more! Please just go visit...

My second time at this place and it won't be the last. I choose one of the quieter secluded sites and love it. The host is friendly and available if you need him but not bothering you if you don't. It's definitely becoming one of my regular go-tos for a weekend away.

Simon was amazing. He cleared a paddock for our horses, let us create our own camp patch to be near them and was so accomodating and easy to deal with. Great spot with two very friendly and well trained doggo’s. We will be back. 🥂

Simon’s place was very peaceful and in fact we had the campsite to ourselves that weekend. My kids loved seeing and holding the chickens. It’s perfectly located for a trip to the local markets. Our dog loved making new friends with Simon’s dogs as well.
