Our property is 4WD access. You are risking your booking and vehicle if you turn up in a 2WD or family SUV. See Extras for booking park and ride option if your vehicle is 2WD. UPDATE as at 16 April 2024: Some of our tracks are rutted and may become slippery in wet weather. We do basic maintenance to keep access open for 4WDS. Kobble Creek West is readily accessible from several locations on our property boundary. Ideal for creek exploring and rock hopping. There’s even a small lagoon now awaiting you. At this time (April 2024) the creek has been flowing and the lagoon is refreshed. Without further rains it will return to being generally dry but will flow with heavy downpours in the D’aguilar Ranges. Explore the trails by bike, or check out the hiking trails on our property (there are hike options suitable to your preferred difficulty). Bring your machete for an even greater hiking experience! You can relax by or in the spring fed dam, explore seasonal Kobble Creek West which borders the property, feed the chickens or goats, spot the abundant bird life, or sit patiently and a deer or fox may appear at dusk. Enjoy the evenings sitting around the campfire as you gaze at the stars. All sites have sufficient spacing from other sites to ensure acceptable privacy. You are welcome to enjoy our off-grid camping with the expectation that facilities are minimal. NOTE: Surcharges exist for a number of circumstances, including day visitors and single-night bookings. These can be found in the Extras and must be added at the time of booking for your request to be accepted. NOTE: Please also indicate that you are 4WD and your camping platform and size as you book. This enables us to site you appropriately. NOTE: Each site has a stand alone camping toilet bucket, located behind a small shade cloth screen near your camp site. You’ll have a seat to sit on, a lid to close, and the need to throw some Leaves and grass in each time you go.

We have a 50 acre elevated bush block with space for approximately 80 people with tents, camper trailers or caravans. We have a range of different sites with two main camping areas and many smaller semi isolated spots. Caravans are best set up on the lower campground where the main view is, and we send noisier groups in tents or swags to our upper campground. If you want to be away from the main groups you can choose one of the quieter spots. There is a council maintained 2 km gravel road which provides access & most vehicles can make it here reliably in any weather. Please note that you are unlikely to make it up our road due to the lack of grip on the gravel if you have a front wheel drive vehicle with any significant sized trailer. Our campgrounds can also be very slippery if wet but dry out within a few hours. WE ASK OUR CAMPERS TO BRING A TOILET IF THEY'RE STAYING MORE THAN ONE NIGHT. We now sell bagged firewood for $20/ 20kg and fill LPG bottles, cash only. We're happy for campers to gather firewood from the bush around the campgrounds, bring your preferred method of cutting it. We are dog friendly but ask that campers keep their pets on a lead to stop them wandering onto adjacent properties or chasing our wildlife. The camping area has no amenities, however it shares a spectacular view south across the QLD/NSW border from 300 meters above sea level, with Mt. Maroon 6 km away. Also visible are Mt. Barney and Mt. Lindsay. The nearest toilets and showers are at Maroon Dam or Rathdowney, 15mins away. The local area has a tourism focus with plenty of opportunities to explore the Scenic Rim. Mt. Maroon and Mt. Barney offer walking trails to the top, Lake Moogera and Maroon Dam are not far away for jetskis, kayaking and swimming and we also have several eateries within 25 minutes. Scenic Rim website has more details. Dog friendly. We have an abundance of wildlife from Wedge Tailed Eagles to Bettongs and Koala. We also get some dangerous snakes and 2.5mt Lace Monitors (Goannas). I often have campers bring telescopes and big cameras to take advantage of the long range views and dark night sky. Kids are classed as age 10 and under. If aged 11 and over, please book at adult rate.

Stonesthrow is a rural property in the Illinbah valley, nestled between Beechmont and Canungra, with council approval for limited camping (4WD only - leave no trace). So if you want to escape the crowds at public campgrounds, your privacy and enjoyment are assured! We are NOT a 4WD park so vehicles must be parked up at your site on arrival and left there unless leaving the property to go to town/tourist activities. Any exploration of the property or travel to toilets is strictly on foot only- NO 4WD'ing. Anyone driving around the property will be asked to leave. There is 500 m of (shallow) creek frontage, kms of walking/riding trails and grassy creek flats for recreational activities. Over the decades, the property has been used to farm goats, train racing camels and spell racehorses. There is also a variety of fruit trees and plantation timber. Caravans are restricted on where they can access- with no guarantee of sufficient sunlight for solar. Elevated/remote sites cannot be reached with a caravan- please bear this in mind if booking with a caravan. Elevated/remote sites require capable 4WD's with off-road/AT/mud tyres only and campers need to be fully self-sufficient including having their own chemical camping toilets. If you don't have your own commercial chemical camping toilet then you will be given a choice of sites with access to facilities. We reserve the right to view/verify your toilet before allowing you access to the elevated/remote sites. Well behaved dogs welcome as long as they are on a lead when moving about the property. Take a stroll through the olive grove and set up a picnic amongst the trees! Olive View Estate is a stunning 35 acre 700 tree working olive farm and guest stay accommodation. We have two paddocks on the back of the olive grove with breath-taking views. Enjoy a walk through our gardens and olive grove. You are welcome to roam our entire property - we just suggest wearing enclosed shoes. We have some very friendly farm animals - Olly the goat. Barb, Shaun, Dodge, Daisy, Duke, Georgie, Gracie and babies Leslie & Bo who all love carrots and apples. This is a full working farm and we restore vintage caravans and classic cars. You will see us pottering in the garden or walking our poodle, but we will leave you to your privacy. We have a beautiful vintage bus that we have converted into a farm shop and you can buy olives, relishes, honey, jam, seasonings, magnesium and more. We welcome small gatherings to celebrate birthdays, engagements or function (Christmas etc) just let us know during the booking process. We would appreciate quiet after 10pm. We are only 8 minutes from shops in town and a short drive for all of the Scenic Rim's attractions. We are in the heart of The Scenic Rim. The camping grounds is private and picturesque in our back paddocks - looking back over our olive grove and out to the great dividing range. We have fire pits set up in the camp area - please bring an extinguisher, wood and matches. The camp grounds has an easy access and campers have had no issues levelling out on the gentle slope or go higher up the paddock to the trees and the ground is level with the best views of the mountain ranges. Olive View Farm is ideal for self sufficient campers. At the front of the property near the bus shop we have permanent picnic tables set up for anyone to use. Dogs on a lead are welcome - we have lots of Kangaroos and Wallabies and we want to protect them. We are always on site and happy to help with anything you need. *Please note any negative feedback for camping received was from a festival that took place on our property in 2022 and the event organisers promised the campers facilities and did not deliver. Unfortunately Hipcamp won't remove these comments and we had no management of these customers. ALL other positive comments are through us direct.

If you are driving 2wd, or 4wd towing a caravan or a big trailer and GPS takes you through Mountain View rd., do not go that way, go through Dayboro rd. For those without transport Dakabin train station is 25 min from the farm. Pick up and drop off to the station can be arranged. There is a wide variety of shops and restaurants less than 10 min away.

Sarabah is a 300 acre working cattle property located along the upper reaches of the pristine Canungra Creek and in the foothills of the Lamington National Park. Access is possible in 2WD in fine weather but 4WD will be needed in wet weather. Guests must be fully self-contained including toilet and drinking water - no facilities provided. We ask for minimal impact - removal of all waste and rubbish is the guest's responsibility. Dogs are permitted but must be under control at all times. Open fires permitted only in fire pits provided - subject to local restrictions when applicable. Firewood is available and delivered to your campsite. Please message Steve 48 hours prior to arrival if you would like firewood. We currently have 8 campsites that can be booked: The Campground (site 1), The Secret Spot (site 2), The Picnic Ground (site 3), The Overflow (site 4), The Rock Shelf (site 5), The Nook (site 6), The Paddock (site 7) and The Cranny (site 8). All sites have creek frontage and are private and a reasonable distance away from other sites. Note: vehicles, camper trailers, caravans and toilets are not to be set up within 10m of the creek as per local government by-laws. When booking, select one of these 8 sites and you will have exclusive use of that site for your stay. Please note that the price is per person and all guests must be included when booking. Bookings can be altered (guests added and deleted) by the person making the booking and it is their responsibility to collect payment from others for whom they have booked and paid. We have a 50 acre elevated bush block with space for approximately 80 people with tents, camper trailers or caravans. We have a range of different sites with two main camping areas and many smaller semi isolated spots. Caravans are best set up on the lower campground where the main view is, and we send noisier groups in tents or swags to our upper campground. If you want to be away from the main groups you can choose one of the quieter spots. There is a council maintained 2 km gravel road which provides access & most vehicles can make it here reliably in any weather. Please note that you are unlikely to make it up our road due to the lack of grip on the gravel if you have a front wheel drive vehicle with any significant sized trailer. Our campgrounds can also be very slippery if wet but dry out within a few hours. WE ASK OUR CAMPERS TO BRING A TOILET IF THEY'RE STAYING MORE THAN ONE NIGHT. We now sell bagged firewood for $20/ 20kg and fill LPG bottles, cash only. We're happy for campers to gather firewood from the bush around the campgrounds, bring your preferred method of cutting it. We are dog friendly but ask that campers keep their pets on a lead to stop them wandering onto adjacent properties or chasing our wildlife. The camping area has no amenities, however it shares a spectacular view south across the QLD/NSW border from 300 meters above sea level, with Mt. Maroon 6 km away. Also visible are Mt. Barney and Mt. Lindsay. The nearest toilets and showers are at Maroon Dam or Rathdowney, 15mins away. The local area has a tourism focus with plenty of opportunities to explore the Scenic Rim. Mt. Maroon and Mt. Barney offer walking trails to the top, Lake Moogera and Maroon Dam are not far away for jetskis, kayaking and swimming and we also have several eateries within 25 minutes. Scenic Rim website has more details. Dog friendly. We have an abundance of wildlife from Wedge Tailed Eagles to Bettongs and Koala. We also get some dangerous snakes and 2.5mt Lace Monitors (Goannas). I often have campers bring telescopes and big cameras to take advantage of the long range views and dark night sky. Kids are classed as age 10 and under. If aged 11 and over, please book at adult rate.

Over the decades, the property has been used to farm goats, train racing camels and spell racehorses. There is also a variety of fruit trees and plantation timber. Caravans are restricted on where they can access- with no guarantee of sufficient sunlight for solar. Elevated/remote sites cannot be reached with a caravan- please bear this in mind if booking with a caravan. Elevated/remote sites require capable 4WD's with off-road/AT/mud tyres only and campers need to be fully self-sufficient including having their own chemical camping toilets. We have fire pits set up in the camp area - please bring an extinguisher, wood and matches. The camp grounds has an easy access and campers have had no issues levelling out on the gentle slope or go higher up the paddock to the trees and the ground is level with the best views of the mountain ranges. Olive View Farm is ideal for self sufficient campers. At the front of the property near the bus shop we have permanent picnic tables set up for anyone to use. Dogs on a lead are welcome - we have lots of Kangaroos and Wallabies and we want to protect them. We are always on site and happy to help with anything you need. *Please note any negative feedback for camping received was from a festival that took place on our property in 2022 and the event organisers promised the campers facilities and did not deliver.
