There are horses grazing in the paddock next door, a tennis court available to use, and our flock of 17 friendly chooks wandering around (the kids love them). You can see views of the mountains in the distance, and we get some cracking sunsets. The block is on a slight slope, so levelling likely required. When submitting a booking request you MUST include the following information: Your vehicle make and model, camping setup (tent/swag/camper trailer/caravan etc), type of toilet and ensuite tent (if booking an Elevated site) and number of occupants (adults, children, dogs). Stonesthrow is a 106 acre rural property in the peaceful Illinbah Valley. Nestled between Beechmont and Canungra, we are about an hour (a stones throw) from the Gold Coast or Brisbane. Over time, the property has been used to farm goats, train racing camels and spell racehorses and is now a family hobby farm. We currently have three dogs, cows, horses, goats and some friendly donkeys who love to meet new people for some pats and a carrot! The Stonesthrow Bush Camping sites are close to the beautiful shallow creek that meanders its way through the property. These sites have access to facilities - toilets, a powered shed, kettle, fridge and a sink. Some sites offer 2WD access yet still facilitate the experience of camping in the bush. THESE ARE THE ONLY SITES THAT CARAVANS CAN ACCESS. The Stonesthrow Elevated sites are located higher up, with stunning views of the valley. These sites are only accessible by capable 4WD and require you to bring your own sealed, chemical camping toilet and ensuite tent which we sight on arrival before allowing guests access to the track. Check-in must be during daylight hours to enable safe access. Off-road camper trailers can access these sites. Friendly dogs are welcome and must be kept on a lead when in close proximity to the cottage and other campers. Please note, the availability of certain sites is weather-dependent. We are not a 4WD adventure park. Vehicles must be left at your campsite and NOT used to explore the property. Exploration of the property is welcome by foot or bicycle: 1.2 km from bottom to top. Due to insurance considerations, no 'day visitors' are allowed unless they have an approved Hipcamp booking. We are a Leave No Trace campground - ensure what you bring in, leaves with you. 'Weefarm' is situated on a picturesque bend of the Brisbane River near Fernvale and is accessible by 4WD only. Kids are free to 17 so if you have children between 12-17, please include them in the "children" booking. We provide an exclusive booking for you on absolute river frontage for tents and camper trailers. Spend your time swimming, fishing, canoeing or simply sipping a cold drink on the pontoon under the umbrella. With an easterly aspect you’ll want to spend the morning swimming or exploring the riverscape and when the afternoon shade sets in light the campfire and put your feet up. Please note... our campsite has been ongoing since 2017 and campers have kindly shared their many happy memories. Over the years, things change. Please take the photos lightly. There is no vehicular boat ramp but still excellent access for other small watercraft. Due to the steep track to the camp area we insist on 4WD’s only - though you can walk down if feeling energetic! Please bring drinking water and a desire to leave the riverside just as you found it. We have enough room for around 20 people in tents or camper trailers. Portaloo toilet available at the campsite. Campfires are permitted in the circle but please be mindful of any restrictions. You can purchase firewood from us if needed. Dogs are also welcome but must stay with you at all times. Oz Sky Ranch is set on 350+ acres in the beautiful Gold Coast Hinterland, just outside of Brisbane at the bottom of Mount Tambourine near Canungra. We cater to adventurous souls, with a range of adventure tourism activities in and around our property. Try tandem hang-gliding and paragliding and a full range of hang gliding and paragliding courses or just bring your own stand-up paddleboards and kayaks. Our lake is lovely and clean and is great to swim in. We opened up our working cattle and turf farm to promote Hang gliding and paragliding, we believe the more people see it, then the more people may like to come for a tandem flight or learn to fly with us. You can buy a friend or loved one a gift of a life time. Tandem hang gliding gift vouchers are very popular, as you get to take off from the property and flyover you’re campsite and then up to 2500ft. Then come and land right next to your friends and family at the Oz Sky Ranch. We pride ourselves on keeping the property lovely and clean. We are also opening our home and farm to you. So please respect it and enjoy it as we do. We have 5 designated campsites positioned around the property. Within the designated sites, there are camp spots that we rotate. Please check with us to see what ones are open. We need to rotate the sites and rest them. This is how we keep them well-maintained and looking amazing. If it is wet weather we will close down sites and recommend other spots. We pride our self’s on having a lovely property and want you to have an amazing camping experience. If it is bad weather, we will recommend another site or you can change dates. Campfires are allowed at designated camp spots when fire bans aren't in place. Firewood is available to purchase . We have a no dog policy No smoking is allowed on the property, vaping is fine at your own campsite. No glass Policy, bring cans plastic glasses to drink out off. We do have a lot of rule, they are in place to give you a Beautiful environment to Camp in and To look after our Animals and farm. We accept groups however we have strict rules around this, so please discuss with us first. If you are up early in the morning you may be lucky enough to see the best in QLD barefoot water skiers training on the lake and also tandem hang gliders getting towed up from the airstrip. All campers must check in before dark and call me before entering. We look forward to your enquiry.

Welcome to our 9 acre Hobby Farm Stay. The Farm Stay experience is what we are all about, we welcome you to experience the joys of farm life, meet the horses and join in at feeding times and egg collecting. Or, if you just want to relax under the mango trees, we totally get that too :) Our geese and ducks and chickens are hand reared so they are not aggressive at all 😃 We have two Sausage dogs, Ockie and Arlo, they love to visit campers. If you aren't doggy people perhaps this isn't the campsite for you. Please keep your food and rubbish up high so the doggos and other critters don't help themselves Please keep in mind that this Hipcamp is a 'Farm Stay', on a working property which is also our big back yard. Your privacy is assured, however, if you're looking for total seclusion, this may not be the Hipcamp property for you. A grassy flat tent site is tucked away shaded by trees. Powered Caravan site is also grassy and flat with a large area for kids to play. If you choose to set up in the open away from the trees the house will be in sight (45m away), but we live a quiet life and respect your privacy. The property is on the Brisbane River, the site offers river glimpses however there is no river access. Suitable for tents, campers trailers, caravans and RV's. We are close to the CBD so the site is a great option for a 'shake down' for your new caravan or camper trailer. If you're new to camping this is a great place to ease into a lifestyle that offers so many opportunities further afield. You won't have to share the campsite with other campers, you will have the spot all to yourselves. Supermarket, bottle shop, takeaways, cafe and pharmacy less that 4 km away. Campfires are permitted. Firewood is available as an 'extra' for $20, please go to 'extras' to add to your booking alterantively purchase on arrival. Power (10amp) and drinkable water is available close to campsite. You must bring your own camping toilet. Daily water usage is included, however long range water tank fill ups incur a one off extra fee of $10, please include this in your booking under extras. No dogs please, Ockie and Arlo are the masters of their domain and don't like doggy interlopers. NB: The site is not suitable for parties or large group gatherings.

We're on a quiet acreage block just outside the hustle and bustle of the city. Close enough to everything, far enough from the noise. 25 minutes to Brisbane CBD 10 minutes to Westfield Chermside shopping centre 9 minutes to Eatons Hill Hotel 4 minutes to the start of the Bruce Highway / access to the Sunshine Coast Out the back you'll find a big open paddock to set up camp, kick a footy, and let the kids run around. There are horses grazing in the paddock next door, a tennis court available to use, and our flock of 17 friendly chooks wandering around (the kids love them). You can see views of the mountains in the distance, and we get some cracking sunsets. The block is on a slight slope, so levelling likely required. Power can be provided if required, and there is a tap nearby with town water to hook up to. We're an easy going family of 6 (4 kids), you might see us around playing outside before we head in for the evening.

PLEASE READ ALL SITE INFORMATION BEFORE SUBMITTING A BOOKING REQUEST. REQUESTS THAT DON’T PROVIDE THE REQUIRED INFORMATION WILL NOT BE PROCESSED. All camp fires must be fully extinguished with water prior to departure.

Please let us know they are coming as well.
