Highly recommend this wonderful place to relax and unwind. Shayne was very friendly and helpful and recommended a site to set up. It was great to hear all about the farm and his friendly animals. We chose a site overlooking the creek with easy access for the dogs and ourselves to enjoy the water as the weather was very hot. Loved that the camping area is limited to 10 sites and we were lucky the be sharing with only one other couple. There was a little bit of street noise during the day but this did not distract from the sound of the running creek and abundant bird calls. Thank you for sharing Bindarah Fark with us. We will definitely be back soon.

The hosts are friendly and kind, even went to the trouble of making the access even smoother for my SUV. This is one of the best locations, close to Brisbane, easy access, nice level areas, and scenery that changes each time we come. This was our 3rd time at Libby’s beautiful property. It’s always well maintained and just the most perfect place to unwind within the large site areas. This time was extra special for us as Libby’s cattle were in the area right near our site but fenced off from coming through to our camp. It was great to get close to them, such beautiful healthy cattle and the little ones are so cute. Thank you once again Libby for sharing your beautiful property with us. It’s our favourite place to spend time in the Scenic Rim and only 1 hour from home. ❤️

I had such a lovely and peaceful stay here. I had the whole place to myself (except for the cows) which was a real treat. Quite a well kept property too. I’ve got a Toyota Corolla and that handled the 3 creek crossings and dirt roads pretty well. Just make sure to check if it 2WD safe when you arrive as I don’t think I could have gotten through if the water was any higher. The only negative feedback I have is that the directions were a little confusing and the address the owner gave me was different to the location on Hipcamp (address from owner is correct). I was also woken up at 6am to some construction work going on which lasted all morning until I left at 11:30 ish. Overall, a lovely stay and I’m sure I’ll be back ☺️

A lovely spot near the creek. Shayne is a wonderful host. He even came down to check the welfare of all the campers after we went through a hail storm. There was a bit of road noise during the day but the birdsong was abundant also. Road noise was no bother at night. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this spot. We will definitely be back.

Stonesthrow is a 106 acre rural property in the peaceful Illinbah Valley. Nestled between Beechmont and Canungra, we are about an hour (a stones throw) from the Gold Coast or Brisbane. Over time, the property has been used to farm goats, train racing camels and spell racehorses and is now a family hobby farm. We currently have three dogs, cows, horses, goats and some friendly donkeys who love to meet new people for some pats and a carrot! We offer a choice of sites- either Lower Sites close to the beautiful shallow creek that meanders its way through the property or Elevated Sites with views of the valley. LOWER SITES have access to facilities- toilets, a powered shed, kettle, fridge and a sink. Most sites offer 2WD access yet still facilitate the experience of camping in the bush. These are the only sites that caravans can access. ELEVATED SITES have stunning views of the valley. These sites are only accessible by capable 4WD and require you to bring your own sealed, chemical camping toilet and ensuite tent which we sight on arrival before allowing guests access to the track. We are not a 4WD adventure park. Vehicles must be left at your campsite and NOT used to explore the property. Exploration of the property is welcome by foot or bicycle: 1.2 km from bottom to top. It has an impressive backdrop formed by Mt Chinghee. Running Creek is a lovely flowing creek which is very inviting in summer and the park offers a great bush camp. Toilets, BBQs, picnic tables and swimming. BYO drinking water. Pets to be restrained. No showers—a dip in the creek will keep you clean but please don’t use soap or detergent. Directions: At Rathdowney, turn left into Running Creek Rd and travel approximately 17km south east. Campers & Day Trippers Rules: The Park is for everyone to enjoy, so please adhere to a few simple guidelines while enjoying this beautiful park. By using this park you agree to the following rules. All vehicles entering the park must observe 10 Km per hour speed limit. Fires must be extinguished prior to departure. Park users must clean up their area when leaving, by taking all rubbish, including food scraps and disposable nappies with them, so the next users can enjoy the Park as well. Do not burn your rubbish. It must be taken with you! The disposal of nappies in the grass around the waterline, and in fire pits, is a serious risk to human health, the health of the creek, surrounding stock and the ecosystem! Please be respectful of other camper’s space & privacy! Do not set up on top of other campers. Generator use is restricted to 4 hours per day between the hours of 2pm to 6pm. Dogs must be on short leads and confined to your campsite at all times. No music or noise after 10pm, noise level must at all times be at an acceptable level so as not to disturb other users. We have two paddocks on the back of the olive grove with breath-taking views. Enjoy a walk through our gardens and olive grove. You are welcome to roam our entire property - we just suggest wearing enclosed shoes. We have some very friendly farm animals - Olly the goat. Barb, Shaun, Dodge, Daisy, Duke, Georgie, Gracie and babies Leslie & Bo who all love carrots and apples. This is a full working farm and we restore vintage caravans and classic cars. You will see us pottering in the garden or walking our poodle, but we will leave you to your privacy. We are only 8 minutes from shops in town and a short drive for all of the Scenic Rim's attractions. We are in the heart of The Scenic Rim. The camping grounds is private and picturesque in our back paddocks - looking back over our olive grove and out to the great dividing range. We have fire pits set up in the camp area - please bring an extinguisher, wood and matches. The camp grounds has an easy access and campers have had no issues levelling out on the gentle slope or go higher up the paddock to the trees and the ground is level with the best views of the mountain ranges. Olive View Farm is ideal for self sufficient campers. At the front of the property near the bus shop we have permanent picnic tables set up for anyone to use. Dogs on a lead are welcome - we have lots of Kangaroos and Wallabies and we want to protect them. We are always on site and happy to help with anything you need. *Please note any negative feedback for camping received was from a festival that took place on our property in 2022 and the event organisers promised the campers facilities and did not deliver. Unfortunately Hipcamp won't remove these comments and we had no management of these customers. ALL other positive comments are through us direct.
