Weekend Trip to Hopevale Adventure Camping

I brought my nieces here for their first camp the owner was incredibly friendly, the facilities where clean and well stocked, everything was super well maintained and looked after with fun jokes to read on trees as we explored, the river was a bit high after the rain but there where kayaks to use which would have been awesome fun. I can wait to come out here again it was terrific 5/5

Having the off leash dog area was just awesome for our 2 furbabies to have a good run around and really get to stretch their legs. My first partly solo camping trip with my puppy and it was incredibly peaceful. We had the place to ourselves for the majority of the week and even when other campers turned up, there wasn’t an issue with space. We enjoyed our walk to the creek and the off leash dog area. The hosts have such a good space, great amenities and even a playground for the kids. I loved seeing their dog Mary popping down to checkup on us and would absolutely recommend staying there. We will be back!

Nestled only 20mins from Kenilworth, this property was a great escape to take in the beautiful scenery and enjoy the peaceful surrounds. Perfect to have a large fenced areas so our dogs could run around and our son got to get up close with the cows. Short walk down to Myrtle Creek, where canoes and kayaks are available to use. About a 20min drive to Maryborough for top up supplies. Mary is a delightfully friendly dog who drops around to visit regularly. A really relaxing visit and best value!

We recently stayed at the Creek flat Tucked Away site at Macallon Farm Stay for 4 nights. The Host Michelle & her family were extremely accommodating. The kids had an absolute blast playing in the creek, they loved all the animals and the farm tour our whole family enjoyed. Michelle is a superwoman! She even helped me arrange a birthday cake for my husband which was soooo yummy and much appreciated. Showering under the stars was beautiful! The farm is so clean and tidy. Toilets close by and if you need anything you can just ask and they will help you. There was a coffee van because it was Easter weekend and it was dam good coffee!! Great family, our kids are begging to go back. Thank you again.

Welcome to the 'Three Mile Creek' a cattle and donkey farm. Our property is located in the beautiful Glastonbury area, which is between Gympie and Widgee. Only 9kms to local Woolworths, Fuel Station, Chemist, Pub and Bottleo. McSweeny Haven

Our property is located on the site of the First Kilkivan Township and was home to a gold rush in 1868 where a 73 oz nugget was discovered. Guests will have access to a portable toilet and fire pit throughout their stay. Gold is still found in and around the creek with fossicking permitted at an extra daily rate of $25 per person. As this is private property we require that all the QLD Fossicking Act rules and regulations are followed this includes having your own permit which must be supplied before fossicking is permitted. These rules include no machinery or pump operated sluices such as high banking sluices. Detectors are welcome and some great finds have been found with them including gold and coins from the 1860’s. Large groups are welcome. There are many great shaded camping spots along the creek or a large open area of about 50 acres for larger groups. There is also a year round swimming hole fed by a solar bore on the property for anyone wanting to cool down. Kids under 12 are free but if fossicking must be covered by a permit. Pets are welcome. Buranga Farm

Buranga Farm is a small organic family-run farm on 60 acres in the Noosa hinterland only ten minutes from Peregian Beach. The property is largely flat with a hill on the Eastern side and a ridgeline at the very back of the property. There are plenty of cleared open areas as well as a mix of lightly treed and native vegetation. Site one and two are located on the hillside looking west to Mount Cooroy and are best suited for couples. There is plenty to do and see in the area including exploring nearby Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve, Gardeners Falls, Kondalilla National Park, Australia Zoo, indulge in a tasting at the Barrel at Clouds Vineyard opposite the front gate, stroll through Maleny Botanic Gardens & Bird World or take a short drive to some of Australia’s most beautiful beaches. Access during daylight hours via 4WD ONLY with AT or MT off-road Tyres, RT Tyres are not permitted due to the steepness of the tracks. Off-road camper trailers are suitable for some campsites (max weight 1500kg and max length 5m restrictions apply). Caravans are not permitted due to the steep terrain. A Portaloo is located between the Ocean View 1 and 2 sites and a second Portaloo is located centrally and within walking distance to The Knoll, Upper Plateau, Valley View and Little Bunya campsites. Four beautiful children later and many years down the track, they bought Hopevale as a blank cattle fattening property in 2018. After much hard work, they have made it what it is today, with plans to continually improve. We have different camp options available, one of which is set up for those guests also wanting to stay with horses or just have a larger group booking. Guests will have access to a toilet and shower throughout their stay which is within walking distance from each of the campsites. Campfires and pets are welcome. The property has only had 4 farming owners in its 110 odd years since it was first surveyed and selected in 1915. The Hillcoats, Bishops, Cotters, and now the Cooke’s. The families over the years have used the property for timber getting, dairy, beef and small cropping. The property is geologically rich with volcanic soils, sandstone escarpments full of caves and overhangs. The mighty Wrattens Falls sits to the back of the property in the National Park and is a sight to behold in full flow. It feeds the head waters of the western branch of Widgee Creek which meanders through the property. The subtropical dry rainforest clad mountains are dominated by the majestic Bunya and Hoop pines and are a testament to what once was covering the entire property before being cleared for farming. Remnant riparian creek lines are botanically rich and diverse holding Red and White Cedar, Teak, Silky oak and many other coveted timber trees harvested back in the day. There are many species of animals and birds that call Hopevale home. From water dragons, frogs and fish in the creeks, monitors, wallabies, deer, koalas, possums and phascogales in the eucalypts. Red-back wrens, pardalotes, rainbow bee-eaters, finches and quail call the open grasses home while whip birds give their iconic call in the forest. Kenilworth Rural Camping is a quiet, family friendly private camping area in the heart of Kenilworth, in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. Adjacent to the Charles Street Mary River parklands, this 5 acre block has beautiful drive through, flat grassy sites. Shady or open spaces with a seasonal water hole on the property, 150mtrs from the Mary River, through the park or a 5 minute walk to town (600mtrs to the pub!). We have 5 camping sites, each suitable to any size caravans, campers, tents etc. Each site has the capacity to fit 3 caravans or equivalent and up to 10 guests. Fire pits at all sites. Please note we do not have amenities or drinking water and that you need to be self-sufficient with your own toilet/shower set up and bring everything you need with you and take out ALL waste. Stirling’s Crossing

Stirling’s Crossing is situated in the Mary Valley on a lush 150 acre Equestrian property, which is bordered by the Yabba Creek and the Imbil State Forest. Our spacious level sites are surrounded by lush paddocks and beautiful scenery. Large drive-thru sites perfect for buses and big rigs, there’s plenty of room to relax and enjoy the peaceful farm setting. Guests can also bring their horses to Stirlings Crossing as Imbil State forest is perfect for horse back trail riding. Horse yards can be set up on request. The Tom Quilty has been held here twice before and will be held here again in 2026. Other endurance events are also held here during the year. There is an extra $10 charge per horse per night. Unfortunately there are no horses available here to hire. It is just over 100km north of Brisbane. The town of Imbil is only 6km away and has a recently opened IGA with all the supplies you need. There is also a bakery, 2 coffee shops, a pub with great meals, and a well equipped petrol station. There are markets every Sunday in the Main Street. Borumba Dam is 4.5kms up the road. It is perfect for boating enthusiasts who want to fish or do various water sports. The property has a large modern ammenities block. * Ladies toilet and shower amenities x 5 * Mens toilet and shower amenities x 4 * Disabled/Family bathroom x 2 There are limited powered sites available on request. There is access to the Yabba Creek for kayaking, swimming and fishing. You can also access the Imbil State forest either by 4wd, trail bike or mountain bike. This is a breeding and training horse facility so could guests please stay away from fenced off paddocks and the large horse complex. Mary River Bush Camp

90 acres of natural bushland with 300 meters of Mary River frontage. This is a great place for a base camp to explore the region. Campsites are nestled amongst trees. There's nothing here but peace and quiet, spacious sites. The banks of the river are quite high and there is limited access into the water. There are 2 boat ramps about 7 or 8 klms from the property. Arrive between midday and 2pm if possible so you can set up your camp. Don't forget to bring your insect repellent as you are in the bush and beside the river. Namaste Farm

Fresh farm eggs can be bought if available at the time. This farm have been used as a working farm for around 40 years. This area is where the government planned a dam so generally we have water in the creeks. The house was the original Amamoor Head Ranger, Forestry division, home which was cut in two and relocated from town up to the top of our hill. From here during the bush fire season you can see fires from Widgee, Kilcoy or the Sunshine Coast. We run on solar and rain water for everything in the house and creek or dam water for our orchards and gardens. We run a variety of animals and several small orchards as well. Our creek runs into another near this causeway which leads to lots of water in a short time where it sounds like you are living on a beach. Always check with us beforehand if there has been heavy rain and there are several creeks in this area which leads to a rapid build up of water in a short time over many of the causeways out here. When there is water around, the creek will have lots of little fish and a large variety of frogs, some very weird looking ones to study. While there are many animals on the farm, there are also wild animals who use it as their home and refuge so your pets must be kept safe with you at night. Swimming pool on the farm can be used if requested through booking.

Welcome to Wolvi Grove - a family run avocado farm approximately 8kms off the Tin Can Bay Road, less than half an hour from Gympie. This camping patch of paradise is private and very quiet; while at the campground you are not able to see the road nor our residence or other campers - the space is all yours! We are very respectful of your space but also keen to chat about all things avocado for those who are interested. *All campers must have their own portable toilet* Please do not request a booking unless you have your own toilet and are fully-self sufficient. There is plenty of extra kindling available for guests to collect during their walking travels in the forest. Dogs are welcome but you must pick up after them and tick protection is recommended.
