There is no traffic, no one camping beside you, no other than the bird sweet sounds of the forest and all of nature that surrounds you. When you book Tent in The Forest, you are booking the entire camp ground. It is yours to enjoy, explore, entertain, relax, unwind, or catch up on some rest. Tent in The Forest is fully self contained campsite. All linen, bedding, gas top cooker, fridge, and kitchen utensils are here for you to use. There are hammocks, camp chairs, tables, and a dining suite all for you to enjoy. We provide organic toiletries including certified organic soap, hand sanitizer, and toilet paper. Tent in The Forest is an eco friendly camp ground. We use solar power for our 12v systems, gravity fed water, and toilet waste is managed using a drop toilet which is then composted. If you are unfamiliar and want to know more about our off grid power, water, and waste systems please contact us. Outside of Tent in The Forest the beautiful township of Kin Kin awaits you. At the Black Ant Cafe, you will find Jodie Williams and her team make mouth watering food and drinks throughout the day and on Friday nights. Enjoy breakfast daily, grab a bite for lunch, or zero in on there Friday night pizza night, popular with locals and visitors. The Black Ant Cafe also is your one stop shop for essential supplies such as milk, bread, coffee, etc. The beaches of Noosa, including the national parks which surround them can be reached within the hour. Our property is situated on the banks of the great sandy strait just 400m from the Tuan Boat ramp with access to Fraser Island by boat or kayak. We are surrounded by State forests and wetland. There is a dam on the property for swimming and playing. 400m walk to the Tuan beach and boat ramp, exit via the main gate entrance. The forshore has a park, BBQ area and picnic tables as well as garbage disposal. There is plenty of space with-in the property and surrounding forests for mountain biking, motor-biking and walking. 3km down the road in Boonooroo you will find a large park with tennis court and public BBQ's. The bowls club and Golf Club are just 3km away. This site is suitable for caravans, RV's, camper trailers. There is no toilet facility on the property. We are VERY dog friendly and can be off lead as long as the dogs are friendly towards people and other dogs and don'y try and bite our horses which roam freely. We also have other peoples horses agisting in paddocks on the property. (Please don't feed them as their owners have requested this) You can feed our horses apples and carrots. Activities you can do include boating, kayaking, swimming, fishing, crabbing, walking, stand up paddle boarding, bird watching, kangaroo spotting, playing in the parks, beach tennis, mountain biking, hiking etc. Camp sites are far from the main house and other sites so you can have camp fires and play music, use generators without worry of disturbing the neighbours. We have a tap/ hosepipe at the horse stables as you drive in on nexto the main house where you can fill up water canisters but might be easier to bring your own water. Text before hand to organise so we can show you where the fresh water tap is found. Campers will need to be self contained (rubbish and toilets) and please leave your campsite the way you found it. Don't leave toilet paper or rubbish in fire pits please. Enter / Exit the main gate by pushing the code into the key pad. (Given on booking) Gate closes after 20 seconds once it is fully open so be quick. NOTE: ***During Summer months - November, December, January and February there are midgees (sandflies) at dusk and dawn and we do recommend midgee screening or spraying the mesh on your caravan windows as the standard mozzie mesh will not keep them out. Bring coils, a fan as they hate any breeze, bug spray and long sleeved pants and tops to wear in the evenings from about 5pm-7pm. After it is dark they die down!*** ***4X4's are recommended if you don't stay along the fence line as it can get muddy if there has been lots of rain. If you stay along the fence line you will be fine as the roads are compact and hard and the camp sites along this fence are higher up, they are marked with Fire Pits so camp here if you want to stay dry and get a good breeze.*** We hope you enjoy the peace and quiet out here. The property has 40 acres, with a main house approximately 500m away from Stargazers. Undulating hills and expansive views surround the site. At night time, the stars are truly breathtaking and are best enjoyed around the fire pit. Amazing bird and nocturnal wildlife is abundant due to the state forestry right next door which has marked trails, perfect for hiking, biking or horse riding.

Welcome to GG's Ranch & Retreat Camping area, a unique farm escape on the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. Is is the perfect place to base yourself and explore all the beauty that the Sunshine Coast Hinterland has to offer. We currently only offer one campsite so you will have plenty of space and privacy during your stay. There is a number of walking tracks on the property and a large billabong where you can enjoy swimming and other water activities. There are Geese who often visit the property who you are welcome to greet and feed. We also have an abundance of bird and wildlife who visit the property and have even been lucky enough to spot a Platypus in the billabong. Our property is home to a number of Horses and we offer Horse based activities for an additional cost (see our extras) so you can meet them and learn some basic horse riding skills. We are just 15 minutes from the popular Eumundi Markets and 30 minutes to Noosa main beach. The site has power and water for your use but you are required to supply your own camping toilet (Please note if you arrive without a toilet you will be asked to leave) and remove all rubbish waste on departure. Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash and under owners control at all times. Campfires are allowed in the fire pit provided and firewood is available at a small additional cost. Please keep your site clean and tidy and respect the natural environment and animals at all times.

The cabins have ensuite facilities and we have 3 rooms available in the pub which all have a queen bed and a single bed. All rooms have a TV and air conditioning. Shared bathroom facilities available nearby. You are welcome to use the BBQ facilities located within the caravan park as well. We have a nearby billabong which has plenty of fish and turtles. Enjoy a meal at the nearby Gundy Pub or explore the surrounding area. Bauple Mountain is 5km away which is a great spot for walking and hiking. Mary River is down the road 4km and a great spot for fishing. The national trail runs along the river and is a great spot for walks or bike rides. We have a number of horse riding camps in the nearby area as well.We have fire drums available and well behaved pets are welcome. Firewood available at an additional cost or BYO.We look forward to seeing you.
