Stonesthrow is a 106 acre rural property in the peaceful Illinbah Valley. Nestled between Beechmont and Canungra, we are about an hour (a stones throw) from the Gold Coast or Brisbane. Over time, the property has been used to farm goats, train racing camels and spell racehorses and is now a family hobby farm. We currently have three dogs, cows, horses, goats and some friendly donkeys who love to meet new people for some pats and a carrot! The Stonesthrow Bush Camping sites are close to the beautiful shallow creek that meanders its way through the property. These sites have access to facilities - toilets, a powered shed, kettle, fridge and a sink. Some sites offer 2WD access yet still facilitate the experience of camping in the bush. THESE ARE THE ONLY SITES THAT CARAVANS CAN ACCESS. The Stonesthrow Elevated sites are located higher up, with stunning views of the valley. These sites are only accessible by capable 4WD and require you to bring your own sealed, chemical camping toilet and ensuite tent which we sight on arrival before allowing guests access to the track. Check-in must be during daylight hours to enable safe access. Off-road camper trailers can access these sites. Friendly dogs are welcome and must be kept on a lead when in close proximity to the cottage and other campers. Please note, the availability of certain sites is weather-dependent. We are not a 4WD adventure park. Vehicles must be left at your campsite and NOT used to explore the property. Exploration of the property is welcome by foot or bicycle: 1.2 km from bottom to top. Due to insurance considerations, no 'day visitors' are allowed unless they have an approved Hipcamp booking. We are a Leave No Trace campground - ensure what you bring in, leaves with you. All camp fires must be fully extinguished with water prior to departure.

Option 2: From the Centenary Freeway roundabout, at ripley head 21 km along Ripley Road, which continues and changes name to Undullah Road. You will see us pottering in the garden or walking our poodle, but we will leave you to your privacy. We have a beautiful vintage bus that we have converted into a farm shop and you can buy olives, relishes, honey, jam, seasonings, magnesium and more. We welcome small gatherings to celebrate birthdays, engagements or function (Christmas etc) just let us know during the booking process. We would appreciate quiet after 10pm. We are only 8 minutes from shops in town and a short drive for all of the Scenic Rim's attractions. We are in the heart of The Scenic Rim. The camping grounds is private and picturesque in our back paddocks - looking back over our olive grove and out to the great dividing range. We have fire pits set up in the camp area - please bring an extinguisher, wood and matches. The camp grounds has an easy access and campers have had no issues levelling out on the gentle slope or go higher up the paddock to the trees and the ground is level with the best views of the mountain ranges. Olive View Farm is ideal for self sufficient campers. At the front of the property near the bus shop we have permanent picnic tables set up for anyone to use. Dogs on a lead are welcome - we have lots of Kangaroos and Wallabies and we want to protect them. We are always on site and happy to help with anything you need.

Welcome to Aloomba Lavender Farm. We offer bush camping with powered and unpowered sites. This means you will not be placed very close to other vans unless you are friends and choose to be together. In many cases you will be able to choose where you wish to park. Not all sites are level, but you are able to site your camp/ van as you wish. There are no cement pads. There is access to toilets and hot showers. You may have to walk some distance to the amenities but the solitude, the quiet, safety and stars make all worthwhile. There is a dedicated firepit and firewood is supplied. We can supply no water other than sufficient to cook dinner. You are welcome to use some of the vegetables and herbs but not to strip the vegetable garden! If in doubt - ask. We have great coffee and Devonshire teas but we are not a cafe. However there is a great little lavender shop where you can buy our own lavender essential oil, or a cake of soap or a Baggallini Handbag. We are dog friendly! We welcome well behaved dogs. We are 20 km from Stanthorpe. You may see wildlife or cattle through the fence and an occasional vehicle going down the road. We have a sealed road all the way to our boundary and then drive through the lavender. If you visit in late November through to early December you will enjoy our lavender flowering, but the plants look very pretty all year around in neat rows. We are a commercial farm so there is the need to work to the rhythm of the lavender.

Runner up for the best caravan spots in Australia 2024 - Hipcamp Award Logan Park Farm is an historic 4th generation family farm with beef cattle and cropping set on the Logan River with beautiful surroundings in the Scenic Rim. The property was first settled in the 1840’s and became the headquarters of Tamrookum Station in 1878 when Robert Collins and his family purchased the property. Just over an hour from the Gold Coast and Brisbane. At Logan Park Farm we have camping grounds and Murphy's Country Accommodation - a three bedroom cottage. Scenic Rim Regional Council Camp Ground Licence Acc21/0010 and Acc21/0012 There are no facilities here, if you do not have toilet facilities please do not book any of our sties. Firewood is available please message if you require it. Please arrive to camp prior to dark. Message host if you need to arrive later. The camp sites are spacious with plenty of distance between each site - no crowds. Each site is for your group only. Open for bookings for Christmas and New Year - numbers are limited. No large parties. We prefer to promote a quieter area. Beautiful sunsets, mountain views, birds and quiet surroundings. Enjoy the stars on a clear night. Explore the beautiful Scenic Rim area from here. Visit the historic Tamrookum All Saints Memorial Church. A large natural lagoon and the Logan River provide opportunities to relax, swim, fish or kayak. An abundance of Carp and Tilapia provide great fishing opportunities at the Lagoon or the Logan River. Children aged 12 years and under no charge (please do not include them in your numbers when making a booking) Pet friendly off-grid camping. All sites are unpowered. No motorboats or motor bikes. No parties - this is a quiet camping area please keep noise including music to a minimum level. Please respect our wildlife, our neighbours and your camping neighbours at all times. Enjoy our large camp sites with family and friends. Noise travels easily in the evening please reduce noise by 9pm. Larger groups welcome on some sites please message hosts. Tamrookum Store is 2 kilometres away for general goods, fuel and take away food.

Weekend Trip to One Tree Hill

One Tree Hill was our first camping trip as a family of 5 (four kids) and we absolutely loved it!! The property was stunning and not too far from the GC (important for impatient kids 😅). The site that we booked was right next to the animal paddocks and ended up being the perfect spot. We were close to the bathroom/toilet and farm house, and further enough away that we still had the full camping experience. The animals, playground and creeks gave us so much to do and the kids are already asking to go back. Next time we'll venture further back into more secluded paddocks. Thanks for a wonderful experience ☺️

Lovely location. The view was spectacular. Nice and spacious and we were away from the other camps. The kids had a great time feeding the animals, would highly recommend getting a bucket of feed. Even when not feeding the kids were able to pat a few of the animal. The host family were lovely and approachable. Would recommend for a quick get away or a long stay

Set up at the curtain fig drive was very easy as it was just after the entrance. Beautiful place, friendly family. Great stories about all the rescue animals and animal feedings twice a day was lovely too. Plenty to explore around the property.

Stayed at site Dead Tree Alley and it was fantastic, plenty of room, the facilities were a short close walk yet had plenty of privacy. Guy was great to communicate. Highly recommend and will be back for another stay.

2 nights at Olive View Estate - Stunning Views!

Stunning views!!! Literal surround sounds of farm life and wildlife while tenting camping at Olive View, so relaxing. The winds were refreshing on the hot day temps, and the night got just that little bit chilly for an all round weather occasion. The little green bus shop was incredible. We spent up and enjoyed some goodies back at our campsite. Very quiet, and very very well looked after. There is a little swing there too which my boys found to be a hit. Would recommend to all!

We were warmly welcomed and looked after. So stoked on our luck after a busy period with a pick of a shady and calm spot under the trees and a view of mountain ridges and over the creek. Our dog was able to roam and swim with other campsite dogs! Take water shoes and togs for a swim down near the bridge. Absolutely divine. We will be back!

The camp site was nice, the farmer is a very polite bloke. Very happy to help and show us around. There is alot of long grass along the river bank, which should be mowed as there was a 6ft brown snake coming through our camp. Happened twice in 2 days. Also fishing is good if you want too catch carp or catfish. And hard to get the fish out of the water because you cant get down to waters edge and theres tree roots and hard sticks that snag your line on the edge. All in all. Nice camp site but big brown snakes and horrible fishing didnt make the trip very nice.

Super chill. Great views with lots of local wildlife around. Easy to find. Well laid out. Close to the mountain trails - have to drive past them to get there. We were lucky only one other group was there. Highly recommend.

Great spot! All the sites have well maintained lawns and fire pits, close to clean toilets, a lake for swimming and some kayaks free to use. Site 26 had shade and some others too. We chatted to Craig and he's a good bloke. We'll be back

What a great site! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Old Boat Ramp. The access to the water is amazing from this site and the site is a really great size. We will be back for sure!!
