Let the kids dig holes or fossick for the perfect skimming rocks, ride bikes or play endless games on the beautiful landscaped grass. Plenty of trees to put up that hammock or grab a soak in our outdoor bath with views overlooking the wilderness. Sit back and gaze at the starlit skies while the kids roast yet another marshmallow on the campfire. Snuggle up during winter and cool down around the rainforest in summer. Abundant wildlife, lots of kangaroos and wallabies, koalas and beautiful birds everywhere. Please be aware that weekends are family times and do get busy with extra people. During the week it is very quiet and you could have the whole place to yourself. Sites are allocated on weekends based on numbers and if you are camping with children and dogs. We have 10 large flat grassy sites nestled amongst trees. Campsites are far enough away from other campers to enjoy the privacy. Each site is large and can allow group bookings. Our 1000 acres mountain top working cattle and horses farm is only 45 minutes from Brisbane CBD. It offers spectacular Glasshouse mountains and ocean views. Activities include hiking, swimming, canoeing, horse riding and more. You can bring your own tent, caravan, motorhome or stay in bunkhouse that sleeps 10 with shower. From many parts of the farm you have a beautiful views encompassing Malenny, Glasshouse Mountains , Bribie island, Moreton Island, Stradbroke Island, Redcliffe and Brisbane Port Site. We have a beautiful deepwater lake that's perfect for swimming, canoeing. The property is traversed by a number of rain forested creeks and ravines which are perfect for adventure hiking and rock climbing. We can also take you horse riding around the farm for a couple of hours or to the local winery if you prefer longer ride. We cater for all levels of riding. We have many panoramic campsites for you to choose from. These are suited to any one with the swag, tent, camper, caravan or motorhome. You need to be self sufficient. For those liking the comforts of home we have a bunkhouse which sleeps 10 and has electricity, water, flush toilet, shower, stove, microwave and TV. Linen is not supplied. If you are driving 2wd, or 4wd towing a caravan or a big trailer and GPS takes you through Mountain View rd., do not go that way, go through Dayboro rd. For those without transport Dakabin train station is 25 min from the farm. Pick up and drop off to the station can be arranged. There is a wide variety of shops and restaurants less than 10 min away.

We have a 50 acre elevated bush block with space for approximately 80 people with tents, camper trailers or caravans. We have a range of different sites with two main camping areas and many smaller semi isolated spots. Caravans are best set up on the lower campground where the main view is, and we send noisier groups in tents or swags to our upper campground. If you want to be away from the main groups you can choose one of the quieter spots. There is a council maintained 2 km gravel road which provides access & most vehicles can make it here reliably in any weather. Please note that you are unlikely to make it up our road due to the lack of grip on the gravel if you have a front wheel drive vehicle with any significant sized trailer. Our campgrounds can also be very slippery if wet but dry out within a few hours. WE ASK OUR CAMPERS TO BRING A TOILET IF THEY'RE STAYING MORE THAN ONE NIGHT. We now sell bagged firewood for $20/ 20kg and fill LPG bottles, cash only. We're happy for campers to gather firewood from the bush around the campgrounds, bring your preferred method of cutting it. We are dog friendly but ask that campers keep their pets on a lead to stop them wandering onto adjacent properties or chasing our wildlife. The camping area has no amenities, however it shares a spectacular view south across the QLD/NSW border from 300 meters above sea level, with Mt. Maroon 6 km away. Also visible are Mt. Barney and Mt. Lindsay. The nearest toilets and showers are at Maroon Dam or Rathdowney, 15mins away. The local area has a tourism focus with plenty of opportunities to explore the Scenic Rim. Mt. Maroon and Mt. Barney offer walking trails to the top, Lake Moogera and Maroon Dam are not far away for jetskis, kayaking and swimming and we also have several eateries within 25 minutes. We also get some dangerous snakes and 2.5mt Lace Monitors (Goannas). I often have campers bring telescopes and big cameras to take advantage of the long range views and dark night sky. Buranga Farm is a small organic family-run farm on 60 acres in the Noosa hinterland only ten minutes from Peregian Beach. The property is largely flat with a hill on the Eastern side and a ridgeline at the very back of the property. There are plenty of cleared open areas as well as a mix of lightly treed and native vegetation. Site one and two are located on the hillside looking west to Mount Cooroy and are best suited for couples. Sites three and four share a large open grassed area the flows down to the main dam that offers great swimming. All areas of the property are open to campers to walk through and explore. The farm comprises a series of ponds near the road that are in the process of being renovated for Red Claw Crayfish. There are fruit trees and veggie gardens around the house, as well as a horse and house cow that guests are welcome to interact with. We have a 50 acre elevated bush block with space for approximately 80 people with tents, camper trailers or caravans. We have a range of different sites with two main camping areas and many smaller semi isolated spots. Caravans are best set up on the lower campground where the main view is, and we send noisier groups in tents or swags to our upper campground. If you want to be away from the main groups you can choose one of the quieter spots. There is a council maintained 2 km gravel road which provides access & most vehicles can make it here reliably in any weather. Please note that you are unlikely to make it up our road due to the lack of grip on the gravel if you have a front wheel drive vehicle with any significant sized trailer. Our campgrounds can also be very slippery if wet but dry out within a few hours. WE ASK OUR CAMPERS TO BRING A TOILET IF THEY'RE STAYING MORE THAN ONE NIGHT. We now sell bagged firewood for $20/ 20kg and fill LPG bottles, cash only. We're happy for campers to gather firewood from the bush around the campgrounds, bring your preferred method of cutting it. We are dog friendly but ask that campers keep their pets on a lead to stop them wandering onto adjacent properties or chasing our wildlife. The camping area has no amenities, however it shares a spectacular view south across the QLD/NSW border from 300 meters above sea level, with Mt. Maroon 6 km away. Also visible are Mt. Barney and Mt. Lindsay. The nearest toilets and showers are at Maroon Dam or Rathdowney, 15mins away. The local area has a tourism focus with plenty of opportunities to explore the Scenic Rim. Mt. Maroon and Mt. Barney offer walking trails to the top, Lake Moogera and Maroon Dam are not far away for jetskis, kayaking and swimming and we also have several eateries within 25 minutes. Scenic Rim website has more details. Dog friendly. We have an abundance of wildlife from Wedge Tailed Eagles to Bettongs and Koala. We also get some dangerous snakes and 2.5mt Lace Monitors (Goannas). I often have campers bring telescopes and big cameras to take advantage of the long range views and dark night sky. Kids are classed as age 10 and under. If aged 11 and over, please book at adult rate.

Plenty of trees to put up that hammock or grab a soak in our outdoor bath with views overlooking the wilderness. Sit back and gaze at the starlit skies while the kids roast yet another marshmallow on the campfire. Snuggle up during winter and cool down around the rainforest in summer. Abundant wildlife, lots of kangaroos and wallabies, koalas and beautiful birds everywhere. Please be aware that weekends are family times and do get busy with extra people. During the week it is very quiet and you could have the whole place to yourself. Sites are allocated on weekends based on numbers and if you are camping with children and dogs. The Cooke Family welcomes you to “Hopevale”. A beautiful 113 acre property bordered by Wrattens National Park at the edge of the world in the peaceful Widgee district of greater Gympie. Jason, a landscaper by trade, and Jacinta a teacher by profession, met many years ago at a national Christian youth conference. Four beautiful children later and many years down the track, they bought Hopevale as a blank cattle fattening property in 2018. After much hard work, they have made it what it is today, with plans to continually improve. We have different camp options available, one of which is set up for those guests also wanting to stay with horses or just have a larger group booking. Guests will have access to a toilet and shower throughout their stay which is within walking distance from each of the campsites. Campfires and pets are welcome. The property has only had 4 farming owners in its 110 odd years since it was first surveyed and selected in 1915. The Hillcoats, Bishops, Cotters, and now the Cooke’s. The families over the years have used the property for timber getting, dairy, beef and small cropping. The property is geologically rich with volcanic soils, sandstone escarpments full of caves and overhangs. The mighty Wrattens Falls sits to the back of the property in the National Park and is a sight to behold in full flow. It feeds the head waters of the western branch of Widgee Creek which meanders through the property. The subtropical dry rainforest clad mountains are dominated by the majestic Bunya and Hoop pines and are a testament to what once was covering the entire property before being cleared for farming. Remnant riparian creek lines are botanically rich and diverse holding Red and White Cedar, Teak, Silky oak and many other coveted timber trees harvested back in the day. There are many species of animals and birds that call Hopevale home. From water dragons, frogs and fish in the creeks, monitors, wallabies, deer, koalas, possums and phascogales in the eucalypts. Red-back wrens, pardalotes, rainbow bee-eaters, finches and quail call the open grasses home while whip birds give their iconic call in the forest. Above, birds of prey ride the thermals of the valley looking for their next meal. “We have been blessed beyond measure with a small slice of God’s wonderful creation that we would love to share with you.”
