Our farm is located about 2.5km from both hospitals (private and government) for any care that you may need. All specialists and consulting facilities are very convenient. Next door to the campsites is our fantastic local cafe, The Depot Espresso Bar, open at 6 in the morning. They're happy to take orders for our campers from 5:30 if you knock! It's perfect for hopping on your bike from camp, grabbing your morning caffeine fix, and continuing on the day's biking adventure. Campfires are permitted, but please BYO firepit, and there is plenty of fallen timber you are welcome to collect and split yourself. Pets are welcome too! For the bigger vans we have sites up on top of the property overlooking the Burnett with just a short walk down to the water. There are NO Ammenities available so own toilet is a MUST! Bring your fishing rods, kayaks and walking shoes. There's some great fishing here including barramundi, perch, yellow belly mullet, gar - and plenty of catfish to keep the kids entertained! Don’t have a kayak, no worries. We also have kayaks available for hire. We also have the most magnificent sunrises and sunsets here, with beautiful birdlife including hawks and water eagles. Great for bird watching and photography! All campsites have access to the water unless we are advised per booking. Less than 5km down the road you will find Wallaville where there is a great local Wallaville pub, and a corner store that offers great pizza. Telstra is available for communication, and we are also only 18km from Gin Gin and around 50km from Bundaberg. Campfires permitted in the designated areas only, bring your own fire pit when possible as we have a limited number of fire pits available. when fire restrictions/bans are not in place. Plenty of fallen timber around the place to collect for firewood. Buxton Bush Retreat is a privately owned parcel of 17 acres located 7 kilometers (6 minute drive) from the quaint seaside village of Buxton. The front 5 acres is 'home' to Kerrie and Brian, their two puppies (Jazz and Jaxi) and two cats (Bangers and Mash). The remainder of the property (about 12 acres) comprises of flat, well grassed areas and natural bushland. There are eight(8) well maintained, large, flat camping areas and each has its own fire pit. An initial supply of firewood will be provided. There is no water or power throughout these camping areas, hence they are only suitable for "fully self contained" motor homes and caravans. Apart from humans, dogs and cats, the property is inhabited by kangaroos and a variety of birdlife. The small township of Buxton is home to a mixture of permanent residents and holiday homes. There is one general store which sells most consumables, including alcohol. They also serve up meals every Wednesday. Buxton has a great little boat ramp on the Isis River which provides easy access for river fishing or to the Coral Sea for ocean fishing. So, if you're looking for a clean, comfortable QUIET and relaxing campsite with not too many people around then Buxton Bush Retreat many be just the place for you. No 'midges' or sand flies or dirt/sand camping sites .... all sites are flat and fully grassed and maintained.

Wrinkles camp is only one site, so no neighbours, with over 10 acres to access other areas for walking or bird watching. We have horses and cattle and it is a quiet and peaceful spot to kick back and relax. Peaceful van site or can pitch a tent, with toilet, shower, lights and electricity, all under a fully paved shed with seats. Enjoy a great fire pit in front of shed, with hand made log seats. Well behaved dogs allowed on a leash, as we have dogs and other animals on property The single campsite (yes just the one site) overlooks a large dam with jetty. Horses and cattle roam around out the back. Feed the wild birds such as duck, parrots, kookaburras, and more. Just 5 minutes from Smiths Crossing for fresh water fishing, canoeing or swimming or go to Moore Park for a swim, surf or take the bike and use their great cycling paths. Other beaches close by are Miara, Norval Park and further away are Winfield, Baffle creek and the iconic Agnes Waters and 1770. All great spots to fish or crab. The Avondale Pub is 1km away with great meals and drinks, and the Bucca Pub is 10 minutes away with weekend entertainment. Jo's road house is just up the road and has all the essentials food wise with great pizzas, and fuel. Next to Jo's is an RACQ centre and mechanics. All this at your fingertips or just kick back and enjoy the peace and quiet in amongst the large gum trees and native lemon scented gums. Please note: no late arrivals after 6pm please.

A huge 350 acres to explore where you will find waterways, billabongs, hills, dams, mango trees and more. Walk through the seasonal creek, easily accessed at the Mango Grove, and see a lot of Quartz and other rocks. While exploring you could find Kangaroos, Echidnas, Goannas and many bird and plant species. Did we mention Gin Gin is only about 15 minutes away? So there's no need to worry if you need more Ice or Food! And if your interested in a day getting wet, Paradise Dam is only 40 minutes away. The area does have some places that we do not allow visitors due to needing clearing and cleaning. Please be mindful to stay away from the areas with 'junk'. We are trying to clear the place to turn it into somewhere magical and we appreciate your understanding until this occurs. It is a beautiful place and the price is currently low due to all of the ongoing work we are doing at the location.

The camping was great, right by the river. Potable water was roughly 100m away from all sites. The site was well maintained and Greg is very helpful and easy to communicate with. My boy really enjoyed fishing, he caught many fish. Some issues we found were that the noise is loud (from the cars on the old m1 highway) and at summer the midgies and mosquitoes are everywhere (so we recommend you bring missive spray) overall this campsite was really nice to stay at, and we enjoyed our time there. So we recommend it to anyone who’s staying there for a night or two.

Weekend Trip to Mon Repos Pines

An excellent spot to spend a few days, Mon Repos Pines is perfectly placed to explore the area. The 4 sites are all situated along the southern fence line of a large field adjacent to the owners’ property, very quiet and just a few steps from the walk/cycle track which follows the coastline from Burnett Heads in the north to just beyond Bargara in the south. The beach close by is virtually covered by black rocks but there is a sandy strip which can be used to access the water when the tide is low (high tide covers this strip). The 4 sites are spaced out next to each other but there is not a lot of room in between each site so when they are all occupied everyone could be quite close. They only take up a small length of the fence line so it would be great if there could be more space between sites, but maybe the council does not allow this. Site 1 is nearest the pathway but is not quite as level as the other sites. We would certainly recommend this camp site to other travellers.

What a beautiful spot, right by Beelbi creek where we caught a couple of fish and a really good feed of mud crabs. 🦀 Well maintained property with picnic tables and fire pits. We even spotted a couple of fire flys. 🔥 The hosts were more than accommodating and very prompt with communications. Keep well sprayed with the bushmen's ( with deet) and you'll have no problems with sandflies or mozzies. Mosquitoes 🦟 I'll definitely be back only 3 1/2 hours from Brisbane left at 6:00am was set up by 10:30am

We loved our stay here. We had two caravans (15' and 21') and easily accessed a beautiful spot Jennifer picked out for us. It was right on the river with easy access to the water and a fire pit. It was very relaxing here. There were other campers in the property, but they were out of sight. We hired a kayak and a canoe and had a great time fishing and relaxing. It's a really lovely spot.

Great spot, fantastic dam for swimming and a paddle with free kayak use. Love the jetty and boat shed! Beautiful grassed campground but be prepared to do some leveling if you are in a caravan on some sites. Can't comment on toilet's as we are self contained so didn't use those facilities.

Such a gorgeous spot!! We had an incredible time camping at site 2, plenty of space from other campers! The toilets were flush toilets, with running handwashing water and soap, very clean! Our dog had the best time watching all the activity, going for leash free walkies on the hiking trail and having nice big swims in the dam! We also had fun with the complimentary kayaks! Owner is super nice and welcoming! This will definitely be our family camping spot from now on!

Beautiful spot, great fishing. Caught cod, brim, grunter, some other unknown thing and a catty. Amenities there for your convenience big well maintained areas to camp. Wood $10 a bag. Hot shower, and lovely people. Midgees are and were terrible this time of year.... but thats most places with mangroves.....
