Mugul is a site of significance for the Gooreng Gooreng people. Our property is home to a multitude of pretty face wallabies, kangaroos, bandicoots, goannas, possums and over 60 species of birds. A serene and peaceful place Mugul is where you can experience the energy of a sacred Indigenous site. Accessible for all types of vehicles. Dog friendly. The property offers basic camping without facilities. You will need to be self-sufficient. We have a bush toilet but no showers. At the house there are toilets and showers available for an extra charge. Please see us if required. Campfires permitted in a designated area when restrictions aren't in place. On the main road to Agnes Waters, a mere 30 minutes north, is my little slice of paradise. There is a total of 40 acres of bushland here which suffered a huge bushfire a couple of years ago. Now the regrowth is charging up out of the ground and threatening to take over my lifestyle! While I am a new owner of this lovely land and trying to get a start on building a cabin to live in and starting gardens to feed myself, I offer an area to Hipcampers! It is not much, as there is nothing here. I am living off grid and have minimal water catchment, so I cannot offer you any water or power at your site....yet (watch this space). Guests can pitch a tent or park your camper/caravan among the native gums, wattles and grass trees in one of two large drive through sites. At this stage there are no facilities here, so you will need to be fully self sufficient in regards to toilet, water and power. There is a slight slope, so if you have a van, it will need levelling. Camp fires welcome and plenty of undergrowth nearby to forage for wood. Pets are welcome but must remain on the leash at all times. The property is not fenced from the road or neighboring properties. I also have two dogs who can be protective. Please inform me ahead at the time of booking if you are bringing pets. There is a seasonal creek that runs through the property about 100m away. It is a bush trek to get to it (ie: no pathways, yet). And another larger one at the very back end of the property in a gully. Should you wish to get adventurous.

Welcome to Ripple Permaculture Farm! Take your pick from our various camp sites, where you can be parked up amongst it all, or tucked away in complete privacy! We are only 2 minutes off the highway and just a short 5 minutes drive from the small county town of Rosedale, with a general store, post office, hardware store, play ground, community hall, a fantastic cafe, and local pub with great meals! There’s no road noise here, though we do have the occasional train pass by across the road from the front driveway, which you’re pretty unlikely to hear if you choose a private site towards the rear of the 160 acre property! Choose from our various camp sites - you can be close the the central hub of the property, where you can easily fill your water tanks with drinkable (tested) bore water (we recommend boiling or filtering before drinking as you adjust to it), visit the farm animals (daily feedings at 4pm each day) and chat with your hosts if and when you wish; or you can enjoy your privacy further into the property on some huge clear sites amongst the trees (great for large gatherings too!) and explore some of our 160 acres, including our dams, permanent water hole (great for a little turn on the kayaks, provided!) and our shallow creek. We have composting toilets near the main hub, but don’t currently have any other amenities available for the more private sites further in - campers will need to be fully self contained, with their own camping toilet, no digging holes and please leave no trace. Dogs are welcome as long as they are supervised and don’t chase the livestock, and cats must be contained. Campfires are permitted if contained safely or in your own fire pit, when restrictions aren't in place. There’s plenty of free fire wood to gather, or can be made available to purchase for $10/bag. Fresh pasture raised chicken or quail eggs are also available to purchase for $6/dozen. If you have any requests or if there’s anything we can do to make your stay more enjoyable, please just let us know!

This place is a bit off the beaten track so nice and quiet. We had the whole place to ourselves, very private. Plenty of space to park our van, owner provided a long hose so we could connect to water and power.
