What a find! We spent a great 2 days at Collie Farm had the place to ourselves. Quick drive to Miriam Vale for morning coffee and about 50kms to Agnes Water for a swim. Large site so quiet and peaceful. Hopefully we will get back there one day. Highly recommend.

Big Dam at the Acropolis
We weren't sure what we would find at the end of a narrow sandy track but then arrived at a hidden green oasis at Collie farm. It was like camping on someone's immaculate front lawn. Our site, Big dam at the Acropolis, was huge. Gary and Christina are wonderful hosts and we really appreciated the dozen farm fresh eggs and tomatoes they gave us. Only a short half hour drive to 1770.

We only had a one-night stay but the grounds were in excellent condition. We parked our van on a full concrete slab and enjoyed a fire while cooking a BBQ overlooking a dam.

We booked the Big Slab site for 3 nights and it was lovely. Right on the edge of the dam with a great fire pit. The host Gary was very friendly and accommodating. There is potable water available at the office. Dog friendly & close to Agnes Waters & 1770, perfect.

Great stopover on the way north. Absolutely loved all the birds enjoying the native shrubs. Lovely grounds and surrounding bushland. Close to Miriam Vale. We stayed here on the way up to Mackay and also on the way back. We will be sure to return, hopefully for longer next time.

Wonderful overnight stay at the big slab in our 7.5m motorhome. Short drive to the highway made this a great pit stop. Wood and eggs such a great bonus at the end of a long trip. Great firepit, quiet spot, so many birds to wake up with.

Collie Farm is tucked away in a quiet but convenient location. The camping areas are flat, well grassed and kept very neat. I felt that the photos did not do justice to just how nice this place is. It was pleasant to have large open grassed areas surrounded by low trees and gardens breaking up the areas. Many grevilleas, covered in flowers attracted a variety birds, and occasionally ducks would be paddling on the dam. I can highly recommend Collie Farm and plan to stay there again.

Great location, close to Miriam Vale, plenty of space with green grass camp sites thats are well maintained. Look forward to going back in the future. Only downside was one of the free roaming dogs was boarding on unfriendly to children.

Gary and Christina made us feel so welcome in their camp. We absolutely loved the Big Dam spot! So much space, flat ground full of coverage. Our dog loved running around the area. We both loved the spot so much that we left with something a little special. An engagement story!

Serenity dwells! Just amazing, the only place I haven't played music the birds sang so beautifully & the collie guided us to the walking track where I could only wonder how it would feel to live life surrounded by such bliss. Private, with a wonderful host! Highly recommended for body & soul.

We loved camping here in our camper trailer! Was very private and peaceful. We felt very welcome by Gary and his beautiful dogs and would highly recommend. We loved the firepit and the concrete slab made it very easy to park. The amenities are very clean and only a short stroll from our site. We would definitely come back one day!

Peaceful & lovely scenery. The big dam is beautiful & well lit at night time. Lovely get away for a few days & close to Agnes for exploring. Shops & nice bakery close by at Miriam Vale. Good spot for staying put or venturing out.

Stayed in our van, with our two dogs at the Big Slab site at Collie Farm. We were warmly welcomed by Gary and his son Ryan. Our site was large, private, pristine and peaceful. A beautiful large, well grassed site looking over a dam, surrounded by forest, with a large, flat concrete slab and a large, clean firepit. We and our dogs had a lovely stay - a fire and restful night, and the pleasure of meeting Christine and her dogs the next day. A short detour off the highway for a memorable, peaceful stay.
