Wildlife rescue is part of our commitment to our land and environment. The many kangaroos and wallabies living on or around our property are rescued orphans and now live in their own mob. Designated fireplaces and firewood available. All campsites except the Safe Haven are physically separated and reserved for a single group (either travelling alone or in company with others). The Safe Haven can accommodate up to 4 caravans/campers with a communal central fireplace by the water. A seasonal summer stream normally runs through the length of the property from January to May. During this time access to some of the walking trails can be restricted. All sites can be left unattended and secure by visitors for day trips to surrounding areas such as Agnes Water, Seventeen Seventy, the Boyne Valley or various National Parks located within 50klms. Your hosts are always present and ready to assist in any way they can. Dogs welcome. Note: Flushing toilet is located adjacent to the Safe Haven campsite.

Camping is a self-sufficient affair with 2 long drop toilets. For small groups of campers we have available a hot shower and septic toilets.There is an abundance of wildlife to be seen as well as a 7km walking/bicycle track available to stretch out weary muscles. For fishing/crabbing enthusiasts it is a 15km 4 wheel drive access to Sandfly boat ramp for fishing and crabbing or 26km for a 2 wheel drive and larger boat to Ramsey's boat ramp located at The Narrows. Excellent fishing!Campfires are permitted with wood included (when restrictions aren't in place). Dogs allowed and must be on leash at all times.SPECIAL EVENTS: During the weekends only of QLD school holidays, we are open for motorbike trail rides. You need to have an MQ license and be part of a motorcycle club (we have our insurance with Motorcycling Queensland). If unsure please ask. This means things are a bit noisier on the weekends of school holidays. :)

The hand built rock chimney is the feature piece of the front of the cabin so be sure to check it out and get a few pics.

We welcome well behaved pets which must be discussed prior to arrival and cannot be left alone on the property, unless wanting to arrange pet sitting. All pets must be on leash and supervised. Located in the beautiful Agnes Water, we have un-powered sites available for vans and tents, small camper trailers and small camper vans Camping guests are required to be self contained. If needed guest may use bathroom facilities for toilet only. No flushing sanitary things down the toilet. Please no check ins past 6pm. Local wildlife visit the property often early mornings and late afternoon, along with our friendly pets. (please note we do have a rooster). Enjoy a walk around the quiet suburbs or drive 10 minutes to our nearest beaches and enjoy the water year round. The beaches at Agnes Water and 1770 are beautiful and a great place to spend your days. The Eurimbula National Park and Deepwater National Park is within easy reach and accessible for 4WD, loads of beaches to explore, excellent fishing, walking tracks and lookouts everywhere. We welcome well behaved pets which must be discussed prior to arrival and cannot be left alone on the property, unless wanting to arrange pet sitting. All pets must be on leash and supervised. Campfires are welcome during winter time. No big water fill ups here please but welcome for drinking/wash up water etc.

A beautiful name for these beautiful and unique 75 acres (30.45ha) facing north directly onto tidal Euleilah Creek (part of the Baffle Creek system) with huge 859m (approx.) creek frontage. For those of you who love fishing or going out in the tinny, you can take your pick at Kotuku as you have both an on-site pontoon and boat ramp. Baffle Creek is well known for prawns, crabs and fishing - think of the fun to be had. The property is very attractive with open grassed areas and mature Eucalypts for shade along the creek banks. It would be a great area for friends or family to set up camp. Quiet and peaceful location. Currently the camping area is only for fully self contained camping. Area is accessible to caravans, camper trailers and motorhomes. There is no plug in power. Convenient Location. Facilities/shops in Baffle Creek are a mere 3km (approx.) away. Mugul Mountain Retreat is a 300 acre property adjacent to Mt Colosseum (or Mugul as it is called by the local Indigenous peoples). The property borders the national park of Mt Colosseum. Mugul is a site of significance for the Gooreng Gooreng people. Our property is home to a multitude of pretty face wallabies, kangaroos, bandicoots, goannas, possums and over 60 species of birds. A serene and peaceful place Mugul is where you can experience the energy of a sacred Indigenous site. Accessible for all types of vehicles. Dog friendly. The property offers basic camping without facilities. You will need to be self-sufficient. We have a bush toilet but no showers. At the house there are toilets and showers available for an extra charge. Please see us if required. Campfires permitted in a designated area when restrictions aren't in place. You can purchase firewood from us (see Extras). We prefer you to bring your own water, emergency supply can be arranged (we are on tank water). Patchy mobile reception.

When to go

The best time to visit Wild Cattle Island National Park is during the cooler months from April to September, when the subtropical climate is more temperate. Avoid the peak heat of summer, especially from December to February, to ensure a comfortable and safe experience amid the park's natural beauty.

Know before you go

Be croc wise in croc country; sightings of estuarine crocodiles have occurred in Wild Cattle Creek and on Wild Cattle Beach.
Carry plenty of drinking water as no water is available on the park.
Prepare for emergencies; mobile phone coverage is unreliable—marine radios and satellite phones are recommended.
Domestic animals are not permitted within the park to protect the delicate ecosystem.
