From the Marina, you can depart to Lady Musgrave Island, enjoy 1 hr to full day tour on the iconic Larcs and enjoy  spectacular sunsets.The are some must-visit small businesses in the area including Rusty Pelican Fish and Chips, Pancake Creek Tours, Katrina's Bar (for sunset drinks) and Marina Cafe (for best coffee and vanilla slice).There are no facilities here, campers will need to be self contained and leave no trace. Each incredibly unique and a little bit quirky site has its own relax & resource space which is out of the weather with a comfy lounges, power to charge your phones, a range of art and craft activities, musical instrument's, fire place, tables and chairs, butain or gas camp cookers, fire and first aid equipment. Eden Acres is home to Eden Elements Pottery and is a working pottery and art studio. Guests are welcome to participate in private pottery (wheel, hand building and mould casting) workshops, Raku and pit firings. We are happy to cater for small group workshops. Wildlife rescue is part of our commitment to our land and environment. The many kangaroos and wallabies living on or around our property are rescued orphans and now live in their own mob. The choices are limitless on this property and Lindy the host is super happy to work with you to ensure your stay is tailored to your needs. For small groups of campers we have available a hot shower and septic toilets.There is an abundance of wildlife to be seen as well as a 7km walking/bicycle track available to stretch out weary muscles. For fishing/crabbing enthusiasts it is a 15km 4 wheel drive access to Sandfly boat ramp for fishing and crabbing or 26km for a 2 wheel drive and larger boat to Ramsey's boat ramp located at The Narrows. Excellent fishing!Campfires are permitted with wood included (when restrictions aren't in place). Dogs allowed and must be on leash at all times.SPECIAL EVENTS: During the weekends only of QLD school holidays, we are open for motorbike trail rides. You need to have an MQ license and be part of a motorcycle club (we have our insurance with Motorcycling Queensland). If unsure please ask. This means things are a bit noisier on the weekends of school holidays. :)

The corridor is an inland link between Gladstone and Gayndah, which has great natural scenery, wildlife and historical structures with small country towns spread along its length. When to go

The best time to visit Wild Cattle Island National Park is during the cooler months from April to September, when the subtropical climate is more temperate. Avoid the peak heat of summer, especially from December to February, to ensure a comfortable and safe experience amid the park's natural beauty.

Know before you go

  • Be croc wise in croc country; sightings of estuarine crocodiles have occurred in Wild Cattle Creek and on Wild Cattle Beach.
  • Carry plenty of drinking water as no water is available on the park.
