We have 33 acres that we have been working on for the last 15 months to try and create our own slice of freedom. We have the goal of becoming as self sufficient as possible and currently we are producing a large amount of our own food. We have a massive array of animals and always are having new additions, which is always exciting. We are open to people coming to just experience what we have created or even getting their hands dirty. We have learnt so much coming here and are happy to pass on what ever knowledge that we have gained but also open to learn from you all too. We are located about 40mins from Agnes Water and are super connected to the amazing Agnes community. We have a couple of areas that power can be tapped into and also a second outside bathroom that is welcomed to be used.

We have numerous place’s to pull up on the property, one main site that will have power, water and a toilet. Other areas on the property we can organise power and you will have access to amenities. We have 33 beautiful acres that we are trying to live a self sufficient, homestead lifestyle. We have a lot of farm animals and we are always having new arrivals. Our property is located 40 mins Agnes water and 12 mins from the Bruce Highway. Access to camping sites are really easy and we are willing to accommodate your needs to set up.

We had 1 night at Makowata Farm and it was lovely. We wouldn’t hesitate to return again. The night sky here was the best we’ve ever experienced - I truly recommend a stay. The shower on site was also really enjoyable!

We had a relaxing, low-key evening here on our journey home. Easy to find and ample space to set up, nice flat ground is a plus. Enjoyed the birdlife, both wild and domestic, and the friendly dog. Hosts were welcoming and friendly :)

Great spot this place is! The owner is a legend and very knowledgeable to the his land and a general great yarn. Highly recommend swinging past this place :)

Peaceful open grassed camping area on a permaculture property. Lovely welcoming owners and a friendly dog. 40 mins drive to Agnes Water. We had a lovely stay.

Amazing place... kids got to see the animals... there was lambs and all kinds of poultry... the facilties are decent and Sion and his dad are just so down to earth.. great place for families 🥰

What a hidden gem! This is such a lovely, relaxed and quiet camping. Just what we were looking for. We were going to stay only one night, but ending up staying another. Shower was really good. Toilet was still under construction though, but usable non the less. It's easily accessible from the A1 (15 minute drive) Good place for kids too

We had a lovely stay. The hosts were super friendly and accommodating. Tash showed us around the property, we got to see the animals and their fruit/vege farm. It was very peaceful and the family was lovely. We would very much recommend the place.

We loved our little stay last night. The place was so peaceful and calming and we felt so welcome instantly. Darryl went out of his way to take us and our kids to see the tiny lambs that were just born so we could have a cuddle. And we got to walk through his incredible food forest. It felt like we were chatting to an old friend. Thanks, Darryl… we’ll see you on our way back :-)

A perfect camp under the stars

I had a wonderful 3 night stay. Sion, his dad Darryl and family were wonderful hosts. Darryl showed me around their very impressive food forest, something which attracted me to the site in the first place. The camping area was amazing. A sky full of stars and much tranquility. Morning were spend at the beach afternoons on the property. Perfect

We spent 5 nights here and loved it! Sion and his family were lovely. It was very peaceful and relaxing, We had a tour of the farm and were lucky to try some of the organic fruit and vegetables. We would definitely stay here again 😊

Sehr basic, aber immerhin 1-2 Plätze mit Strom, wenn die kleinen Frösche rausgesammet sind! Toilette nachhaltig mit einen Regenwassereimer daneben! Den Gastgeber haben wir nicht kennengelernt, aber seine Familie war sehr hilfsbereit!

Our stay was absolutely stunning highly recommend dropping in. Sion his dad and the boys were so welcoming and open to teaching us about their journey so far. Had a lovely experience here, getting to bottle feed donut was a highlight for us and the mangoes are deadset the best I've ever tasted, thanks for having us.

The open space and farm stay was enjoyable. We were driving for a full day and the host was so obliging to meet us at the gate when we arrived around 10pm. We were in need of a hot shower and a wash and fell asleep in our campervan as soon as our heads hit the pillow. Thank-you for your hospitality, we will be sure to visit your hip camp again in the future.

We arrived later than we thought because of a Google maps issue. Sion was super nice and made me (a single woman traveling with a small child) feel very safe and taken care of. He went out of his way to help us get hooked up. It is a lovely area. Highly recommend.
