Weekend Trip to Wollombi Private Earthways camp

The Rocky Site had so many spots to explore from the beautiful base camp. It was great for little kids. We found a lemon tree bursting with fruit, gorgeous moss-covered rock walls, active bee hives and half of the crew managed to spot a wombat. It was safe enough to run around barefoot and the pop-up pit toilet was practical add-on for an otherwise very off-grid experience. We'll be back!

Mira Wines was honestly a dream. Waking up surrounded by vineyards, with horses and kangaroos just casually hanging out, it was unreal. The place is stunning, peaceful, and just has that something you can’t quite put into words. Ana was the sweetest host, super helpful and easygoing. We felt right at home. 3 nights at Chapman Valley

Super lovely spot just a short drive from Sydney city. Well kept grounds and very helpful staff for any questions or needs. We had one of the private sites and it felt nice and isolated while still being a 20min walk back to front office for firewood, toilets, showers. Highly recommend!

We loved our time camping at Chapman Valley. We were allocated Green Wattle Arm 5, and it was just perfect! Our dog had the most amazing time with lots of space. It was very private. Communication was spot on, our spot was easy to find and we had preordered our firewood. We explored the property via 4wD , and saw lots of wildlife along the way. We will definitely be back. 10/10!

About 5 minutes from town (expect tourist pricing for everything except the pub). Would be happy to spend a long weekend there again!

You will also have access the whole property including the magnificent deck, bathroom, kitchen and laundry in the main house. Day trip in 4WD to South end of Barrington Tops Forest - I can take up to 3 people on a day trip to Barrington Tops Forest. Approximately 1 hour drive each way, 4 hours in the forest. Cost is $ 199.00 Tennis - The local tennis courts are 1 Km away and can be hired for $10 per hour. I have some balls and racquets but you may wish to bring your own rackets as mine are not very new.

(for emergencies we have satellite phone) Children under 5yrs are free. Dogs welcome but kept on a lead during the evening. No leeches and No ticks in this area. NO close neighbors. Perfect spot to pitch your tent or set up your camper in the valley. Lots of sunshine and lots of shade. Easy dirt road access (5km) Some sites require/recommend 4WD -some 2WD is fine. Check each site separately. Wombat, Rocky, Lyrebird, Bowerbird and Goanna sites have bush toilets, shower bag and washing water onsite. Come and take advantage of the Wollombi Valley's beautiful scenery and atmosphere. Sit and relax or get adventurous and explore the area. The historic village of Wollombi is only 25 minutes away, and has cafes, shop, museum and the Wollombi Tavern. The popular Broke and Pokolbin wine regions are a short 25-40 minute drive away in the opposite direction. Yengo National Park has some wonderful look out spots-great to drive to Finchley lookout to watch the sun set or check out Aboriginal art sites. No guarantee but...You may see wombats, kangaroos, echidnas, goanna's, kookaburras, bower birds, lyre birds, superb blue wren, gang gangs, black cockatoos and so many other native birds/creatures. Stunning rock features, caves, diverse ecosystems with abundant native fauna and flora. We are situated in a valley. Each of our separate camp sites are your own private space.
