Weekend Trip to Echo Farm Cabin Hunter Springs

Tom's cabin at Echo Farm is the perfect spot for some camping in Barrington Tops. The pot-belly stove warms the cabin in minutes while the edition of working toilet is luxury the whole family enjoyed. Being indoors on those windy/rainy Barrington nights should not be taking for granted. There was plenty of firewood around but Tom provided neatly chopped logs for the stove as well which was greatly appreciated. We would definitely recommend the spot for a family that wants to break away for a few days.

2 nights at Echo Farm Cabin Hunter Springs

The shed was a great place to pass the cold Barrington nights. Normally I'd camp in the park but I'm glad I didn't. The pot belly stove kept the place really warm. Nice property with a spectacular waterfall and green pastures full of cows to keep you company. The kitchenette was handy as well as the toilet attached. Decent price for what is offered. I'll be back.

My son and I loved The Birdhouse! It was well laid out with everything we needed for our 2 night stay. The surroundings were beautiful and Stephanie was kind and accommodating - I’d definitely recommend!

Weekend Trip to Little Brothers Adventure Park

The best camping experience. We spent 3 nights at Dales camp ground (the honeymoon cabin) and we wish we could have stayed longer. It's amazing for adults and kids you will never get bored. The enduro trails are amazing for dirt biking through the mountain, they even have smaller wide open spaces for young kids who ride. So many places to explore. Dale and Cameron's hospitality is 5 star. They are amazing hosts. We can't wait to plan our next trip.

Weekend Trip to TJ’s 4B Park & Camping + Hiking

It is a luxury rustic set up canon. There is all supplied excl. food. Well furnished & cosy. It is located on the top of the hill, secluded area only for you. The bathroom is separate with a shower (all in good condition). You can have a shower while enjoying the bush view :) There is a fire place next to the hut and a large outdoor sitter. Very nice.

Weekend Trip to Wattle Valley Farm

Plenty of camping space. Facilities were excellent. Cabins were very clean and cosy. Close to Wollombi if you require a coffee fix. Would have been great if we were able to access the creek . Overall a fantastic place for camping with friends and family.

We had a lovely stay here! Flushing toilet, water tap at back for washing dishes etc and potbelly inside that kept us very warm overnight. The river isn't suitable for swimming, however we just made the short venture to manning river instead. Plenty of fencing so we felt comfortable with our dogs not exploring too far. Plenty of places to walk / explore, and a long 4wd track to explore, however we were able to easily get to the cabin itself in a sedan. The owners were staying in the farmhouse at the same time as us, provided us with more firewood and even gave us some Easter chocolate :) We will definitely be back!!!

This campsite was an absolute delight! Nestled deep within the bush, the secluded location offered a truly peaceful and private getaway. The 4WD tracks leading to the site were challenging and exciting, adding to the adventure. Our host was incredibly welcoming and generous. He went above and beyond, inviting us for an exhilarating ATV ride and even a target shooting session – a truly unforgettable experience. His passion for the area was evident, and he was eager to share his knowledge and facilities. The cabin itself was well-equipped with ample power and water supply, along with all the basic necessities. The cabin was solid and cozy, providing a comfortable and secure base for our stay. The toilet was clean and well-maintained. The surrounding area boasts some fantastic hiking trails with breathtaking views. It was the perfect place to explore nature and soak in the tranquility.

We loved our stay at cranky rock and are return guests. The hosts have poured so much love into creating a space that is full of character and comfortable for their guests. My husband, myself and our dog Millie were well looked after and loved that the hosts also went the extra mile to make sure we had a enjoyable stay we loved that the extra breakfast items they included of fresh eggs etc. Thank you once again for opening cranky rock up for us to stay on our journey back to Sydney. Cranky Rock Cottage was a delightful find! Nestled amidst stunning scenery, the cottage itself is beautifully appointed with a cozy and rustic charm. We particularly enjoyed the farm, views and hot tub. The location was perfect for exploring nearby historic towns and wineries. Pam & Lindsay are excellent hosts, kind and helpful. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend Cranky Rock Cottage for a peaceful and memorable getaway.

Lindsay and Pam have created a unique cottage set among the fields and mountains near Wollumbi. Lindsay has used his particular knowledge of historic building techniques to create a space that takes you back to the mid nineteenth century, with pull cord electric lights and hewn logs throughout. One of the highlights for me was the abundant bird life. The native vegetation planted around the cottage brings past a host of scarlet browed finches, wrens and black cockatoos. Well worth slowing down with a cup of coffee on the veranda.

Buggy Tours and kids quad rides are available (extra costs). We would like to advise that entry to our beautiful property is a dirt road and does have mounds.
