The Farm is ideal for walks and hikes, with beautiful views across down different valleys. We highly recommend hiking to the top of the property, where the views are fantastic of the Barrington tops and surrounds. The Area offers a number of country towns to visit and get supplies at with the closest (Gresford) being 15mins from the farm and the next and biggest in the area (Dungog) being 20mins. Other stand out towns in the area worth visit are Patterson, Gloucester, Morpeth and of course for the Hunter wine region which door to door to Pokolbin from here it is 1 hour. If you are adventurous then you might like to check out the Barrington tops of which we are at our doorstep.The site we are offering up to guests is a very private 1960's retro caravan and fire hot tub perched on a ridge in a valley in the North Hunter region. It is fully fenced for pets and to keep the cattle out of your space. There is a fire fed hot tub, a bathroom with composting toilet and hot water shower as well as a fridge, queen bed and kitchenette in the caravan. With the theme "moonlight cinema" there is a grassy area next to the caravan where you can enjoy an outdoor movie under the fairy lights for a memorable evening. The farm itself is ideal for walks and hikes, with beautiful views in all directions down different valleys. We highly recommend hiking to the top of the property for glimpses of the Barrington Tops National Park and surrounds. Other things to note: - Please take your rubbish with you when leaving - If bringing pets, please clean up after them in the caravan fenced area - No Wi-Fi on site yet. - Telstra / Belong mobile coverage is available

Ridge Retro Caravan
The Retro Caravan was such a fun getaway especially with weather that was less than perfect! We brought our two doggo's with us and it was hard to tell who enjoyed themselves more! Beautiful scenery up on a hill with the morning fog and evening sunsets, the interior of the caravan was super cosy and well serviced with a warm shower, loo and fire heated spa! In the wet weather a 4wd was required to get up to the caravan but i imagine it would not be as tricky in better weather - best to ask Mitch though before you arrive. Mitch was a great host, so helpful and a very reliable communicator. Location of the van close enough to Dungog for pies and a stroll around town or the base of Barrington Tops - we had a stop at Ladies Well which was flowing and so serene.
