We are Based in a Quiet Area in Howes Valley NSW TJ's has over 1000 acres of mixed beautifully grassed areas, surrounding Aussie bush, and a sand based seasonal river (the river is not always flowing fully). Pets are definitely welcome, but please be sensible and do not bring them if they are aggressive. Please pick up after him/her (there is nothing worse than stepping in a dog dropping). Horses also welcome - we have a fenced cattle yard. Hot Showers are available. There are toilets placed around the property. We have communal sites plus separated private sites for those that would like some privacy. (If you would like a private site, please message us once you have booked). Have a Fenced off Kids Playground. Buggys (allowed any weekend at an extra fee). Quads and dirt bikes also allowed PLEASE NOTE; They are an extra fee and only allowed on specific weekends. As we like to keep our property quiet for everyone to relax from the hassle and bustle of everyday life. Please see our website or Facebook page for dates. Buggy Tours and kids quad rides are available (extra costs). We would like to advise that entry to our beautiful property is a dirt road and does have mounds. The road has just been upgraded and although has dirt mounds is quite easy. We suggest to drive over them on an angle and take your time. This is not a place for parties and loud noise, but if you want to get away from it all and relax in a secluded Campsite surrounded by beautiful Native Bushland or explore miles of trails, gullies, caves, Flight Springs Creek and the exquisite Bow River, take some time to camp at Hillside, which is a remote 2000 acre working cattle property situated 23km west of MERRIWA, 17 km off the Golden Highway, adjoining the Goulburn River National Park. Most sites are in secluded area's far away from each other but at busy times people may pass by some sites to access the river. There are plenty of walking trails and for the enthusiastic bushwalker, the Bow River winds its way 7km down to the Goulburn River through the National Park with its gentle flowing stream and rock pools nestled between sandstone cliffs of caves. All sites are pet friendly, but pets must be kept on leash and cleaned up after. Campfires are allowed when there are no restrictions. Cut firewood is available on request $20 lots, cash only. 4WD and High vehicles are recommended as tracks have rocky outcrops and some areas of loose sand. Some sites can be accessed by 2WD. The Bow River area is strictly 4WD (Low Range) access ONLY as it is extremely steep with loose gravel and rocky outcrops. AWD (All wheel drive) vehicles will not get back out. For all 4WD areas please let your Tyres down to 25psi to help conserve our tracks. Outback 4WD tracks are now open for campers to explore as well as Hidden Valley. All sites have toilets, but guests will need their own shower facilities and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. Phone Service is very limited in this area. If you email a request, sometimes it may take a few hours for us to reply. No motorbikes or chainsaws and no hunting allowed. WARNING: There are many areas of cliff edges and shear drops! Children must be supervised at all times while exploring these areas. There are also dams at or near some of the campsite areas that could be dangerous if children wander off exploring alone.

Come and take advantage of the Wollombi Valley's beautiful scenery and atmosphere. Sit and relax or get adventurous and explore the area. The historic village of Wollombi is only 25 minutes away, and has cafes, shop, museum and the Wollombi Tavern. The popular Broke and Pokolbin wine regions are a short 25-40 minute drive away in the opposite direction. Yengo National Park has some wonderful look out spots-great to drive to Finchley lookout to watch the sun set or check out Aboriginal art sites. No guarantee but...You may see wombats, kangaroos, echidnas, goanna's, kookaburras, bower birds, lyre birds, superb blue wren, gang gangs, black cockatoos and so many other native birds/creatures. Most sites are in secluded area's far away from each other but at busy times people may pass by some sites to access the river. There are plenty of walking trails and for the enthusiastic bushwalker, the Bow River winds its way 7km down to the Goulburn River through the National Park with its gentle flowing stream and rock pools nestled between sandstone cliffs of caves. All sites are pet friendly, but pets must be kept on leash and cleaned up after. Campfires are allowed when there are no restrictions. Cut firewood is available on request $20 lots, cash only. 4WD and High vehicles are recommended as tracks have rocky outcrops and some areas of loose sand. Some sites can be accessed by 2WD. The Bow River area is strictly 4WD (Low Range) access ONLY as it is extremely steep with loose gravel and rocky outcrops. AWD (All wheel drive) vehicles will not get back out. For all 4WD areas please let your Tyres down to 25psi to help conserve our tracks. Outback 4WD tracks are now open for campers to explore as well as Hidden Valley. All sites have toilets, but guests will need their own shower facilities and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. Phone Service is very limited in this area. If you email a request, sometimes it may take a few hours for us to reply. No motorbikes or chainsaws and no hunting allowed. WARNING: There are many areas of cliff edges and shear drops! Clear directions were provided to the property, and David met us on arrival, showed us to our site, and took the time to talk us through things to do in the area. The property is huge, with plenty of walking trails and 4WD tracks to keep you occupied. All campsites are very well spaced, giving a great sense of privacy. Sites are flat, spacious, and private, and the portaloo toilets at each site were clean and well maintained. The location is ideal — right on the doorstep of the national park and only a short drive to town if you need supplies or feel like grabbing a pie. We’ll definitely be back.

Great bush camping with the added bonus of a toilet. Nice to cool off with a swim in the river which the dog absolutely loved. Dave was an awesome host and was super chill. He met me at the front gate and showed me to the campground. Dave also gave me a run down of the property and stopped by later to make sure everything thing was ok. Will definitely be back with the rest of the family. Great spot!

Dave is a wonderful host who has clearly put in a lot of thought and effort in creating a lovely bush camping heaven. Unfortunately the weather gods were not so kind on this visit and tried to roast us alive, but hopefully we can return and explore the walks and 4wd tracks properly. Lots of wildlife and a beautiful river plus the convenience of a loo at each well spaced out campsite.

We had an incredible experience. There are a number of campsite options, but during our visit we were the only ones there—so it felt wonderfully private and peaceful. Our riverside spot was spacious and beautifully set up, with a swimming hole in the river that’s been thoughtfully dug out for cooling off. Facilities are excellent and just a short walk away, which made the stay both comfortable and easy. The location is also ideal, sitting close to the Broke wine trail, so you can enjoy tastings and then return to a quiet riverside retreat. Overall, Rikki’s Hipcamp offers the perfect balance of privacy, nature, and convenience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway near Broke.

Sitting by the river, shaded by trees, listening to the bush and not seeing another camper because of the layout of the 3 camp sites. Ive already started planning my next trip. John is brilliant, comes and gives a weather report each morning of what to expect during the day and night so adjutments can be made to your camp site if needed. Lovely man.

Newcastle is about 1.5 hrs drive away and has a commercial airport and many other facilities of a large sea side city. Wollombi is about 20min drive to the South and is one of the first areas settled in after Sydney. It has many items of historical significance including jail, museum, post office and Wollombi Tavern, the home of Dr Jurds Jungle Juice. Sydney is about 2.5 - 3 hours south. Check in and checkout times are flexible.

River Front Campsites is a picturesque camping area on the eastern edge of the Barrington Tops National Park (Gloucester Tops) and nestled on the banks of the crystal clear Gloucester River. A great spot for families and groups of all ages who love wide open natural spaces. A place to relax and enjoy the amazing mountain scenery, fabulous sunsets and bird life local to the area, along with other wildlife that graze the land. If you want to indulge in the natural wonders of the area, there are numerous walking trails in the nearby Gloucester Tops National Park, swim in the crystal clear water of the Gloucester River. Do some Bird watching. We are an active beef cattle farm. We run approximately 80 head of cattle. You will see our herd of cattle across the paddocks, which includes pregnant cows, younger cows, calves, and Brutus our bull. We will endeavor to run our cattle outside of the paddocks containing the campsites. For this reason, we ONLY allow dogs to stay if they remain on a lead or are well controlled. There are 6 sites to choose from beside the flowing river to set up your campsite, with shady areas, spacious grassy areas for the kids to run around or just relax and enjoy the surroundings. All of our campsites are perfect for having a campfire (fire season dependent). NO rubbish can be burnt in any campfires at all. Each Site will have a fire pit. BYO wood. These are sites only and NO toilet or shower facilities are provided, or freshwater. YOU MUST HAVE YOUR OWN CAMPING TOILET OR ONE IN YOUR CARAVAN/CAMPER. (There are dump points located in Gloucester and Stroud townships, both approximately 40 min away). Imago Forest is a beautiful bush block and biodynamic orchard near Mt Royal National Park. There are spectacular views over the valley and lake. Just 3hrs from Sydney. Some things to do on the property: * Sit back and take in the incredible views * Roast marshmallows around a campfire * Walk in gorgeous tall forests with some century old trees * Swim in the dam * Climb in the tree next to the cottage * Tour of the permaculture mandala garden (when I'm around) About camping here: * 4WD and AWD access - all year around. * 2WD access - Oct-May in dry weather. (The Big Shed site is 2WD accessible all year) * Families are welcome * Well-behaved dogs are welcome * There is mobile phone reception at some of the sites. Sometimes it isn't fantastic, at other times you can stream Netflix. Some of the things you can do nearby: * Do the majestic Mt Royal walk * Fish or boat on nearby Lake St Clair * Stop in at some of the Hunter Valley wineries on your way * Search online for "Carrowbrook forecast" to get the closest weather forecast
