We are unfortunately unable to take new bookings for the foreseeable future and likely until late 2026. Please check back with us later next year. Our property is private so we ask you to contact us first to ensure we can provide the facilities most suited to you. It suits off-road independent hybrid caravaners and tent dwellers. The river is home to mangroves (so mosquitoes feed the leaping fish), all manner of sea creatures and dolphins are frequent in drier periods. Birdlife includes an array of land and waterbirds, such as Eagles, Magpies, Kookaburras, colourful parrots and smaller shyer birds. The wildlife includes kangaroos, wallabies, echidnas, reptiles. You may espy a Koala along the foreshore. For this reason, while we accept dogs, they must be on a leash (if not just for their own safety). The boat ramp has good access for kayaks/canoes. Or just sit on a camper chair and dangle your feet in the water while watching the mud crabs go about their social business. Riverside sites are not powered and do not have water or sewerage. They are situated within 10m to 25m of each other and if this is too close, we recommend booking two sites. Generally, we prefer campers to be 100% self-contained, with their own toilet. A toilet is however accessible, but some 300m to 400m distance from the dams and rivers. There is cold potable running water here for topping up. Sealed roads to the front gate to access the property from north and south. All-weather gravel road access is available, although paddock sites can only be accessed by vehicle during dry periods. Weather willing, we can provide more secluded sites by some lovely dams, (please check conditions if you have concerns). Activities include: - Bird/nature watching - Paddling/canoeing - Fishing - Bike riding (small motor vessels only by arrangement) - Surface type: grass or paddock leveled areas and others with slight slopes and accessed with 4WD (of course subject to weather). - Generally fair to good Mobile phone access. - BYO or Preorder firewood for applicable sites out of fire season. - No electrical connections unless by arrangement (for longer term Hipcampers) - We treat our own sewerage. - No generators please.

We offer holiday accommodation for everyone whether a large group of friends, a small or large family, couples, singles and even the pets! The property is set on 78 acres of farmland and only 8km from Gloucester NSW. All accommodation types have excellent views to be enjoyed and you can walk to the river, go for a swim or play around in the canoe provided. You can also meet the cows and horses who are all very friendly and love apples, carrots and licorice. Go up to the lookout for fantastic views back over the valley and town or take a dip in the pool or lay back on the verandah and read a book, have a glass of wine or just relax and recharge.

Weekend Trip to Lovedale Farm Stay & Horseriding

We brought the kids for a Farm stay experience and they loved it! We stayed in the ‘Blue Wren’ villa for the long weekend and it had everything we needed for 2 small children.. Margaret, Russell and April were very kind and welcoming. It’s a beautiful place to stay and the kids loved feeding the animals, the tractor ride, pony ride & peddle carts. Great location, easy drive to the wineries etc.

A lovely secluded cabin a few minutes walk from local amenities and pub. Great location to base yourself when visiting the area. Cabin was well equipped, as others have mentioned the outside shower is excellent and the fire pit was great for the cooler evenings.

We enjoyed our stay! Villa was clean and had everything we needed for easy holiday. Beautiful views of the valley! Most importantly we all had great time riding horses, feeding animals and exploring near by places. Margaret and Kimberly very both very friendly, kind and helpful. Made us feel welcome.

Honestly, I can’t even remember the last time I spent so long just watching the stars at night and feeling completely relaxed. It was such a special experience. Everything about our stay was lovely - it was by far the nicest place we came across and the perfect spot for some peace and quiet compared to others we’ve seen around the area. Weekend Trip to The Bower Farm

The Bower is a very special place. We had the most wonderful time connecting as a family in nature enjoying the beautiful set up that Rachel & Matt have so thoughtfully created. The attention to detail is second to none, the yurt is so comfortable, the outdoor kitchen and showers set up is brilliant, and the heated bath under the stars is unforgettable. Moreover, the wallabies bouncing across the field, and the little creek behind the yurt gave us hours of nature’s best entertainment.

Weekend Trip to Lovedale Farm Stay & Horseriding

Incredible experience. Such a beautiful property and welcoming hosts. Margaret was lovely to deal with and breakkie at their pub in town The Thirsty Horse was great too! We thoroughly enjoyed the horse riding and would do it again. Highly recommend staying for a weekend out of town and something different and equally as good to the wineries in the area

Weekend Trip to Altamira Along Bakers Creek

Fantastic place to get away from all the hustle and bustle we call life, have been here multiple times now loved it each time! This is our go to place for a getaway, Jacci & her husband are extremely accomidating and so pleasantly nice they make the experience that much nicer, would recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway and doesnt mind some furry and feathered friends walking around their camp site. Oh and also there's a pool!

We only stayed at the glamping site for one night, but wow — what a magical time we had! The vast land, with wallabies and cows and birds singing. The amazing amenities: the outdoor tub, the kitchen, the comforts of the tent. The highlight was having a hot bath under the starry sky and topping it off with marshmallows by the fire. The best sleep too. Matt and Rachel went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Core memories unlocked! Thank you 🤍

We loved camping here with the use of the cabin - a top spot with perfect facilities. The outdoor shower was a huge hit! Great central location to explore the surrounding location from Tea Gardens, Bluies Beach and throughout the national park. Thanks for having us! We’ll be back.

The Bower Farm was absolutely stunning, Rach and Matt were great hosts and very accommodating. We loved our stay so much it was hard to leave. The tent was clean and cozy and had plenty of games/books to keep you entertained. Picking our own sunflowers in the field was a highlight, alongside relaxing by the fire on the hammock and soaking under the stars in the hot tub. Highly recommend staying here if you want uninterrupted time in nature. Will definitely be back.

1 night at Hakuna Matata Resort, Booral

We had a relaxing 2 nights in the cabin. Cabin was clean and comfy bed. There is also an outdoor kitchen area with BBQ, pizza oven ,fridge etc. A couch to lie down also. Firepit and outdoor shower (cold). The towns of Stroud and Dungog are a short drive away. Which we visited. The hosts are great, Keiran took us up to cabin and gave all info. Highly recommended.

Absolutely incredible location. Everything about the tree house was made with comfort and pure relaxation. The kangaroos that visit you are so sweet and was the possum. Lizards and birds, just beautiful. Heather, you have made that Treehouse a home for any to come, right down to the cutlery and beautiful bedding. Thankyou for designing a stunning tranquil home we have foreever remember this holiday, will be sure to be back again and again!

We almost had the whole place to ourselves, and absolutely loved the privacy. Our host, Hannah, mentioned that if we’d arrived just a few days earlier, it would’ve been packed out, so our timing was luckily spot on! The facilities were spotless, and the river was fun for rock hopping, fishing and swimming, cold but invigorating! You felt the temperature instantly drop as soon as you’re down by the river, perfect for escaping the midday heat. Our hosts, Hannah and Jessie, were super friendly and made us feel right at home. 🩷 We loved 🔥 Fire pit & wood supplied 🍃 Plenty of space and privacy ✨ Stargazing, super special 🎣 Fishing .. we caught an eel and threw it back 😂 💧 River swimming, ROPE SWING 🏠 Admiring the quirky costum built cabins that hug the river

The perfect tree tops escape

I have been to Barrington Tops on numerous ocassions and it never lets me down. A stunning, diverse and unique landscape that makes for such a welcome contrast to busy suburban life!

A long drive to the top and then a 1.6k walk into the water fall. Grade 3 not an option for us as we have young kids and didn’t realise how far it was
