The historical town of Stroud is only 10 or so minutes away if you need supplies. Karuah River is close by for swimming and fishing, and the Barrington Tops National Park is approximately 50 minutes away. Ride Dungog is located at The Common in Dungog, for mountain bike enthusiasts. The area includes 650 acres offering trails for all different levels. While visiting Dungog, there are boutique cafes and shops, a historic cinema, and a lot more to see as you wander through the streets. Unfortunately we no longer have parties, including 18ths, 21sts etc.

Sitting on a 7 acre property in the beautiful Markwell Valley, and only a 7 minute drive from the village of Bulahdelah. (Note : 5kms of sealed road and 2kms of unsealed gravel road from town - suitable for all vehicles.)  The van is decorated to reflect the retro 70s style. Inside it features a ‘cosy’ double bed, with linen provided; a lounge area; plus a small galley kitchen, that includes a toaster, kettle, bar fridge, microwave and a 2 burner electric stove top. There are also added extras such as a selection of teas, coffee with plunger, milk and local free range eggs. (Note : the van does not have a plumbed water supply, but plenty of fresh water is provided. ) The van is covered by a large shelter - including an open seating area with lounge; table and chairs, a breakfast bar; and small gas BBQ. There is a fire pit which can be used in Winter and Autumn and when fire restrictions allow. We supply all wood for the fire. The spacious Eco–friendly Lodge provides all the comforts with 2 bedrooms (each with en-suites) accomodating up to 4 guests, kitchenette, spacious dining and lounge area. Reverse cycle air-conditioning and ceiling fans. All freshly sun-dried bed linen and towels supplied. A front deck to relax on, with outdoor furniture and Webber BBQ, take in the breathtaking views of the rolling hills and countryside and incredible starry skies at night! Winn has had 28 years in the Hunter Valley Boutique winery and hospitality business and is happy to help with places to visit and wineries to see! Roger is a cattleman and loves to talk about the Land and history. Enjoy a wealth of local information from the Owners! And by arrangement, take a walk on the farm. STRICTLY NON-SMOKING in the Lodge or anywhere on the property! DOG STAYS are available by request for well-behaved, immunised dogs, up to 2 Dogs only and all care and responsibility must be taken by the dog owners at all times. Please mention if you are bringing a dog in your booking request. Dogs can not stay in the lodge alone and must be supervised by owners at all times. There is a fully fenced dog-proof playground area with a large kennel located next to the Lodge, extra towels, and an outdoor hose. Just bring your dog's basket/bed, toys and food! There is a very good local pick up and deliver back to the Lodge - Dog Daycare, Check with us , happy to forward details to you.

We loved camping here with the use of the cabin - a top spot with perfect facilities. The outdoor shower was a huge hit! Great central location to explore the surrounding location from Tea Gardens, Bluies Beach and throughout the national park. Thanks for having us! We’ll be back.

The Bower Farm was absolutely stunning, Rach and Matt were great hosts and very accommodating. We loved our stay so much it was hard to leave. The tent was clean and cozy and had plenty of games/books to keep you entertained. Picking our own sunflowers in the field was a highlight, alongside relaxing by the fire on the hammock and soaking under the stars in the hot tub. Highly recommend staying here if you want uninterrupted time in nature. Will definitely be back.

1 night at Hakuna Matata Resort, Booral

We had a relaxing 2 nights in the cabin. Cabin was clean and comfy bed. There is also an outdoor kitchen area with BBQ, pizza oven ,fridge etc. A couch to lie down also. Firepit and outdoor shower (cold). The towns of Stroud and Dungog are a short drive away. Which we visited. The hosts are great, Keiran took us up to cabin and gave all info. Highly recommended.

Absolutely incredible location. Everything about the tree house was made with comfort and pure relaxation. The kangaroos that visit you are so sweet and was the possum. Lizards and birds, just beautiful. Heather, you have made that Treehouse a home for any to come, right down to the cutlery and beautiful bedding. Thankyou for designing a stunning tranquil home we have foreever remember this holiday, will be sure to be back again and again!

Weekend Trip to The Bower Farm

Our stay at the Regent Bower was so relaxing which is exactly what we wanted. After being greeted by Matt we were left on our own to experience and appreciate the facilities and area. There was everything we needed, from cooking equipment to a fridge to cleaning products to the toilet and shower facilities. Plus extra comfort items like a very comfortable bed and multiple seats to relax in, plus a hammock. They went out of our way to ensure we were comfortable in the 40 degree heat and there was plenty of shade for us to relax in as well. Still very close to Stroud for shops and worth a short drive to Gloucester, Dungog or Barrington Tops NP for a day trip.

Our family glamping trip at The Bower Farm Tent was an absolute success—we're already planning our next visit! The genuine hospitality and incredible personal touches made this experience truly unforgettable. The owners' effort was outstanding. Traveling with three kids can be tricky, but they expertly set up the tent for all three girls' comfort. They were incredibly responsive and helpful throughout our entire stay. The real highlight for our horse-mad eldest was the special horse riding lesson organized on-site at the Bower Farm—zero travel time and the thrill of her year! The girls also loved their brilliant, long ride on the family farm tractor. Their generosity shone through in the stunning fresh food pack: delicious farm eggs, a tasty local wine, amazing local sourdough bread, and little treats for the kids. Every item was carefully chosen. Finally, the setting is pure magic. We were lucky to spot kangaroos and mesmerizing fireflies! Nothing beats the hot tub and campfire beneath that incredible starry sky—far from the city lights, the stars are truly breathtaking. Thank you for the perfect blend of comfort, adventure, and kindness. We highly recommend The Bower Farm Tent for a five-star escape!

We loved staying in the church, it is simply unique and swimming in the pristine river so refreshing! Graham and Chris are so lovely and very hospitable, little touches such as vases of fresh home grown flowers and herbs make it special! The bucket shower is the best!! Dinner cooked over an open fire was delicious.

I had the most magical time away at the Oakenville Farm Bell Tent. What a blissful adventure. From the beautiful Birdlife to the quirky chickens every part of my stay here felt like a home away from home. The lovely Rachel could not have been a more hospitable host, she was always around if you needed a hand or just a good old chat (which I definitely loved to do😂). The best way to spend the long weekend and get away to totally switch off. The tent was beautiful, comfortable and spacious, filled with plenty of blankets and a small heater to stay warm during the cold nights. I highly recommend this beautiful location to anyone who wishes to get away without having to organise anything except food and transport. Thank you so much to the beautiful people I met along the way on this peaceful adventure. It's definitely one I will cherish ❤️✨

The Regent Bower is a hidden gem nestled just a stone's throw away from the historic Stroud Village centre. It's a perfect place for luxurious glamping with excellent and high quality facilities. Both Rachel and Matt are amazing hosts who have devoted their hearts into making a superb glamping experience for their guests. They have been very responsive to any queries and have organised a private lama encounter which was an icing on the cake!

We had such a relaxing time! A hidden oasis amongst the trees & wildlife. We had everything we needed. So many little touches that wouldn’t even be expected, but were greatly appreciated- Pete & Margot clearly care about the experience of their guests which is so refreshing & we were very grateful. We will look to stay again, and would recommend to couples or an individual who want to relax and use it as a base to explore some of the fantastic beaches nearby (Seals Rock was a great recommendation from Pete).

A long drive to the top and then a 1.6k walk into the water fall. Grade 3 not an option for us as we have young kids and didn’t realise how far it was
