Slice of heaven
Absolutely loved the stay. A beautiful location and wonderful hosts. Lovely meeting Paul and the family. Sound of birds, whistling pines, sitting by the creek, starry winter nights, bonfire, lovely warm cabin, super comfy beds, bike ride across the valley…we enjoyed every bit of the stay!

Off-grid comfort
This was our second visit to Critterland, this time a winter as opposed to Summer visit. We had a rocky start with a mix-up in days arriving but that was soon smoothed out and we had a fabulous stay once again. Paul was very helpful and made sure everything was working accordingly (fridge, pumps, gas-shower etc). We really love the off-grid experience. Being cloudy/raining we had to run the generator to recharge the battery for a while for the fridge, but the generator is super-easy to run. Krambach pub is awesome but beware- it gets super busy so get there early for lunch to beat the rush. Oh, and as usual our whippets had an awesome time playing frisbee on the large grassy flat out front of the cabin, and sleeping by the slow-combustion fire at night.

Critterland Cabin
Critterland exceeded all our expectations. It was a wonderful natural experience. The children enjoyed the solitude, swimming hole, tree swing and wide-open spaces. Our little home was rustic and warm. It offered everything we needed and a little more. Our host was genuine and friendly. Highly recommend.
