Weekend Trip to Valley View Farm, Hunter Valley

The campsite was an amazing spot to spend our Easter long weekend. It was so peaceful and relaxing which was most needed for our camping group. Good place for kids and pets since there is a lot of land for them to wander about. Julie was also kind enough to lend us a spare mattress (since one of our campers forgot theirs), which saved us the headache of heading back to town to look for one. Thank you Julie! We will definitely come back to this site in the future :)

3 nights at Hillside Camp on Bow River

We had a great stay at the Eagles View site. High up on top of a hill it is a huge space with 340 degree views. A big tree for shade was great. We enjoyed exploring the property and driving all the tracks, walking the Cave Walk and down to Bow River. This is a great property to stay at if you don't want to be around others as the sites are spread out and some completely isolated. Dave is a great host and very friendly, he gave us all the info we needed.

Really enjoyed our time the last couple of days at Hillside staying at the Frog Rock site. Such a beautiful big property so peaceful with lots of walks to do. David was an amazing host and we are really greatful for property owners like him opening their gates to allow others to experience the beauty of our country.

Great property to visit out west. Lots of good quiet campsites within the serenity of nature. An abundance or wildlife such birds Eagles and kangaroos inhabit the setting with you. This was a huge property with the added bonus of lots of mapped tracks to explore if in a 4x4. Only 20mins out of the main town of Merriwa, there is some local heritage to explore also. Host David was very pleasant and easy to deal with upon arrival. Definitely recommend 👌

Such a beautiful property that David and Lisa are sharing. Each side is far away from thr others and seriously think you've got whole place to yourself. A lot of effort at each site with portloo making things easy. Stunning walks all marked out and the caves are great. I highly recommend camping here. We'll be back.like a private national park. Lots of Kangaroos and birds.

The property was beautiful, well kept and so peaceful. Dave met us at the gate in the dark, and escorted us to our site, which was most appreciated. Can’t wait to go back and spend more time exploring.

Weekend Trip to Hillside Camp on Bow River

Hillside is not an easy place to get to, but it is well worth the trip. A huge area of rural New South Wales adjacent to National Park. David has created a fabulous place to escape urban stresses and which ever site you choose, you will feel you are in the remote outback of Australia. Some sites require four-wheel-drive for access but generally the roads are in good condition and the sites themselves are fabulous. David is a wonderful host and introduced us to a number of the available walks and four-wheel-drive tracks which made our stay even more exciting and refreshing. Each site has basic toilets and these are kept in good order by David. This is our favourite Hipcamp site and we will be returning again in the near future. We would highly recommend it to anyone who wants some peace and quiet with a degree of isolation.

What a gem of a destination. David the host has obviously put in a lot of hard work to create this excellent site. The individual sites were like park lands. Mown and level. Porta loos were clean and well serviced. We stayed four days at “Canyon” site. Great spot. The sites are spaced so far apart that every site has a huge area to spread out and enjoy a very private spot. The property has endless 4x4 tracks to explore. Kilometres of bushwalking trails. The caves were amazing. The bushwalking and photo opportunities were more than we could cover in one trip. David is a great host. Helpful, happy and a wealth of experience and knowledge which he is very willing to share. The wildlife is abundant, kangaroos wallabies wombats and dozens of different bird species. Star gazing and satellite spotting by the camp fire filled our evenings. We will be return campers to this site. Thanks Dave.

Beautiful scenery from up on top of the hill! Stunning sunsets and foggy mornings during Autumn, perfect for crackling fires. Quiet and peaceful location, with a sense of privacy even on the open hill. Very basic drop toilet a bit of a walk away if needed. Luke is a welcoming host and was accomodating, despite me being a last minute/same day booking. I look forward to returning to camp again next time I’m in the area.

Our stay at Dave’s place was so nice and peaceful. There was plenty of space for the kids to run around and ride their bikes while we were able to walk with them and look at the scenery. If we didn’t have the next spot booked we would have stayed more than one night!

1 night at Camp on Hunter (Elderslie)

Beautiful spot with great hot water shower and clean porta loos. Allan came to meet us right away and we enjoyed the site virtually to ourselves for two nights. There was plenty of firewood on site but aLeo a covered bbq aRea annd room for a big group. Only 20 min to the Wine Route and 5 min from the nearest IGA or the new big Coles at Braxton. Would come again. Thanks Allan for the effort put into maintaining a lovely spot.

The pup 'Bear' and I had a great stay! Beautiful part of the world, and the perfect place to escape. After meeting Sally, who showed us to our site, we didn't see another soul. The property is gorgeous, and we had a great time exploring. We will definitely be back. Thanks Brian and Sally!

Large roomy grassy ALL FLAT level campsites, so great to get away camping with friends or family. Beelisco Honey Hipcamp camping spot is set on 300acres located in the beautiful valley of Baerami Creek and surrounded by the amazing mountain views of Wollemi National Park. We are located just off the Bylong Valley Way, so a great spot to spend a night or two if travelling through. There are some amazing mountain views and a very tranquil peaceful camping spot. Tar sealed road all the way to the front gate and then only 150metres in on farm to your campsite on a very well-maintained road suitable for ALL vehicles. We have wide gate access to suit all vehicles/trailers of any size to go in and out and all sites are grassy and level. Great spot to relax, chill and take in the amazing country air and surroundings, relax by a fire, cook marshmallows or a camp oven feast. Walk down to the edge of this campsite and listen to the creek trickle past, go bushwalking, listen to the birds and watch the Kangaroos. Of a night you will be amazed at how many stars you can see, it is just beautiful, so don't forget to look up. Please put in ‘Beelisco Honey’ into google maps to see how far we are from you. Our farm is a family run business with Husband, wife and 2 young boys, we run horses and cattle all year round and grow Lucerne hay on a few large flats around the farm. River Front Campsites

We wish to acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the Worimi, Gringai and Biripi people the custodians, spiritual and cultural owners of these lands on which the Gloucester River runs. River Front Campsites is a picturesque camping area on the eastern edge of the Barrington Tops National Park (Gloucester Tops) and nestled on the banks of the crystal clear Gloucester River. A great spot for families and groups of all ages who love wide open natural spaces. A place to relax and enjoy the amazing mountain scenery, fabulous sunsets and bird life local to the area, along with other wildlife that graze the land. If you want to indulge in the natural wonders of the area, there are numerous walking trails in the nearby Gloucester Tops National Park, swim in the crystal clear water of the Gloucester River. Do some Bird watching. Other things to do around the area, Gloucester Farmers Market (monthly), Local Wineries, Cafes, Art Gallery and Museum. We are an active beef cattle farm. We run approximately 80 head of cattle. You will see our herd of cattle across the paddocks, which includes pregnant cows, younger cows, calves, and Brutus our bull. We will endeavor to run our cattle outside of the paddocks containing the campsites. For this reason, we ONLY allow dogs to stay if they remain on a lead or are well controlled. There are 6 sites to choose from beside the flowing river to set up your campsite, with shady areas, spacious grassy areas for the kids to run around or just relax and enjoy the surroundings. All of our campsites are perfect for having a campfire (fire season dependent). NO rubbish can be burnt in any campfires at all. Each Site will have a fire pit. BYO wood. These are sites only and NO toilet or shower facilities are provided, or freshwater. You will need to bring your own camping toilet or self contained caravan/ camper. (There are dump points located in Gloucester and Stroud townships, both approximately 40 min away). Access to River Front Campsites is partially by 12kms of gravel council managed road with 6 water crossings. Campsites are easily accessible by 4WD and 2WD vehicles. (Weather conditions permitting) Flood detour road available if needed. There is no rubbish collection on the campsites. You will be required to take all rubbish off the property when you leave. THERE IS NO MOBILE RECEPTION. We look forward to you visiting our farm!

Hillside Camp on Bow River

The ultimate Farm Solitude Camping experience. If you want to get away from it all and relax in a secluded Campsite surrounded by beautiful Native Bushland or explore miles of trails, gullies, caves, Flight Springs Creek and the exquisite Bow River, take some time to camp at Hillside, which is a remote 2000 acre working cattle property situated 23km west of MERRIWA, 17 km off the Golden Highway, adjoining the Goulburn River National Park. All sites are in secluded area's far away from each other but at busy times people may pass by some sites to access the river. There are plenty of walking trails and for the enthusiastic bushwalker, the Bow River winds its way 7km down to the Goulburn River through the National Park with its gentle flowing stream and rock pools nestled between sandstone cliffs of caves with open area's. There is an abundance of wildlife to see. All sites are pet friendly, but pets must be kept on leash and cleaned up after. Campfires are allowed when there are no restrictions. Cut firewood is available on request $20 lots, cash only. 4WD and High vehicles are recommended as tracks have rocky outcrops and some areas of loose sand. Some sites can be accessed by 2WD. The Bow River area is strictly 4WD (Low Range) access ONLY as it is extremely steep with loose gravel and rocky outcrops. AWD (All wheel drive) vehicles will not get back out. Outback 4WD tracks are now open for campers to explore as well as Hidden Valley, which has walking trail access to the Bow River. "Gully View Campsite" is the closest site to the property entrance. Great for overnight stays. It can be set up as a communal campground for larger groups. Guests are required to be fully self-contained with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. *Most Campsites now have toilets. Phone Service is very limited in this area. If you email a request, it may take a few hours for us to reply. We also do Vinyl, Canvas and Leather repairs during your stay in most cases. WARNING: There are many areas of cliff edges and shear drops! Children must be supervised at all times while exploring these areas. There are also dams at or near some of the campsite areas that could be dangerous if children wander off exploring alone.

Pets are definitely welcome, but please be sensible and do not bring them if they are aggressive. Please pick up after him/her (there is nothing worse than stepping in a dog dropping). Horses also welcome - we have a fenced cattle yard. Hot Showers are available. There are toilets placed around the property. We have communal sites plus separated private sites for those that would like some privacy. (If you would like a private site, please message us once you have booked). Have a Fenced off Kids Playground. Buggys (allowed any weekend at an extra fee). Quads and dirt bikes also allowed PLEASE NOTE; They are an extra fee and only allowed on specific weekends. As we like to keep our property quiet for everyone to relax from the hassle and bustle of everyday life. Please see our website or Facebook page for dates. Buggy Tours and kids quad rides are available (extra costs). We would like to advise that entry to our beautiful property is a dirt road and does have mounds. The road has just been upgraded and although has dirt mounds is quite easy. We suggest to drive over them on an angle and take your time. We have lots of people come in with trailers and campers and have not had a problem. But do not recommend it if you have a lowered car. Any concerns, please contact us.
