Do you fancy camping on your own exclusive section of the Hunter River and not have to share it with other campers? Then you've come to the right place! Rosebrook River Camp gives you your own private retreat, far away from the crowds but only a few minutes from the beating heart of the Hunter Valley. Our property is situated in the locality of Rosebrook, a fertile area steeped in a rich dairying history. We're only 10 minutes from Maitland and 25 minutes from the Vineyards, but the privacy of the camp site makes it feel like you're miles from anywhere. You've got direct access to the Hunter River with a sandy beach, great swimming holes and it's perfect for a peaceful kayak up or down stream, dependent on river levels at the time of your stay. Bring your own kayak or use ours for a small fee. For those a bit more adventurous, we take you to our drop off point at Luskintyre and you paddle downstream (a leisurely 4 hours) until you arrive at the beach near your campsite. Enjoy a few days of peace and quiet, or go on a guided horse ride (charges apply, info available on request). The site is a drive through level, grassy area and easily accessed by 2WD vehicle if you're not towing. For caravans and camper trailers, a 4WD is recommended but it's pretty easy going. Pets are permitted, but MUST stay within the site paddock if not on a lead. Our neighbours have stock and it's important we are always respectful toward them. A garbage bin and recycle bin is provided but you will need your own toilet. Rosebrook River Camp

Family Camping at its Best!

Highly recommended camping spot! Amazing location, massive site & very private. Only 1 site which means you’ve got the whole place to yourself. Nice flat, grassy site, with a good sized fire pit, perfect for relaxing at night. Situated right next to the Hunter River, there’s a nice cleared walking track to access it. BYO water & camping toilet. Bins provided so you don’t have to haul all your rubbish out with you. Awesome for families with kids & dogs. The river was fairly low which made it perfect for the kids, who spent their entire day kayaking (supplied by our host) & fishing. Our dog loved splashing in the river as well. Fully accessible with a 2wd car & plenty of space to park next to your site. Mick is an awesome host, great for a chat & super accomodating. A genuinely lovely guy, with good local knowledge. We will definitely be back very soon!

Rosebrook River Camp

We had a wonderful stay at Rosebrook River Camp! The site is close by the river, it is so peaceful, quiet & private. It is large & well maintained and has a large fire pit and bin! Mick is a very helpful and welcoming host. We also purchased some fresh eggs, delicious! Thank you for sharing your wonderful property, we will definitely be back!😊

Mick was an awesome host. Points you in the right direction to the campsite and leaves you to enjoy!! Grassy campsite on high side of river and very private. The stars at night are amazing. Great spot to enjoy the beautiful land he is on
