We’re pet-friendly! Please note, however, that we are a working farm with ongoing activities and resident animals, including livestock and farm dogs, so all pets must be kept under control at all times. Aggressive, disruptive, or potentially dangerous dogs of any type are not allowed — especially restricted breeds (e.g. Pit Bulls, Bull Mastiffs). Only friendly dogs are permitted, and we reserve the right to ask you to leave if your dog is deemed unsafe or aggressive upon arrival. If you have any doubts, please message us prior to booking.
Also, please ensure kids are supervised at all times, particularly around the river. Lifejackets are recommended.
During your time here, visit the local farm gates in Tumut, Batlow, Tumbarumba, and Adelong for their delicious high-country produce. There are also some beautiful swimming spots and walks to discover in the region, as well as good facilities in town, including the local swimming pool and shopping centre. Enjoy a local brew and bite to eat at the Tumut brewery. Bahwidgee is just 3km from the Tumut town centre - so close you could ride in, or even walk.

CAMP 3 is a private in the bush area and will cater for five or so rooftops tents, difficult for caravans or large vehicles.
CAMP 4 smaller possibly two tents or rooftops secluded in the bush.
CAMP 5 similar to camp 3 in the bush and completely private great for a get together with friends.
CAMP 6 is the very top of the mountain with a long wide strip of cleared area with bush on both sides and a window at the end to the valley below, very private, must be fully contained and would suit most vehicles, may lose traction if pulling a heavy caravan or trailer.

Nestled right up against the escarpment at an elevation of 450m, this high-end, off-grid 40 acre property effectively offers your own private slice of Macquarie Pass National Park - amazing views, giant cedar trees, fern forests, cascading waterfalls and palms surround.
It feels remote but it's only 90 min from Sydney, 30 min to Kiama and just 15 min to the shops. The property also offers the only hiking path up to the top of the escarpment for some truly amazing views.
As of September 2025, many of the trails on the property have been degraded by the rains and are now challenging for 2WD cars. If you're towing or it's wet we recommend AWD or 4WD vehicles.
Since this is coastal rainforest and it has been very wet, expect leeches anywhere it is damp. These are easily kept at bay with deet and or trousers tucked into socks.
We're not particularly price sensitive - until all those rate rises - but we are extremely value sensitive so we set out to make your stay extremely good value for your hard earned money. The land itself does most of the heavy lifting but also personal service and of course there's Lana to fall in love with.
Note, Mellows Rd is 2.6km long and rises 400m - in parts the road is a 15 degree grade. It's all paved but narrow so if you are towing a large heavy load, it's going to strain your car.

The rainforest Treehouse is situated in a rainforest pocket of the Mount Warning Caldera, completely surrounded by lush and vibrant nature and sheltered from the outside world, while being just 2 minutes away from us and the comfy road that will take you to an amazing swimming hole, cafés and the nearby town.
Once you enter the Treehouse private drive you will feel yourself being transported into a magical world of gently flowing water, natural light, tall trees, chirping birds, rustling leaves, crickets, and frogs.
You will notice the energy shift into the safe embrace of our land, protected by Springbrook Mountain.
The location of the Treehouse was chosen by our then young children. We all fell in love with the magnificent camphor laurel tree growing at the edge of the seasonal creek.
We all found ourselves drawn to that place, so with the help of our friends and our children we began the project of manifesting a dream into a reality - the dream of living in the tree canopy.
As we worked on the Treehouse, the design was constantly changing. The whole family, especially our youngest son, contributed to the manifestation of the dream. During that time we overcame many obstacles and found solutions to build in the tree. It was an adventure, a lot of fun and we learnt a lot.
It became a dwelling for our kids for a period of time, until they grew up and left to conquer the big wide world.
Now it is here for you to enjoy, to reconnect with your dreams, to dive deep into your childhood playful memories where the world of fantasy and reality merge together.
Here you can just be yourself, embraced by nature and view at the world from your Treehouse verandah.
THE RED CABIN
We are also proud of our very special Red Cabin with its magnificent mountain view. it has been created with dedication and love. And again it is thanks to our daughter this time. She has found the perfect spot for you so you can immerse yourself in nature in the shade of lovely trees, taking flight with the eagles above Springbrook Mountain, lifting up and rejoicing life. The vibrant tantric red colour of the cabin will fill you up with new energy and freshness. it is supplied with clean, luxurious linen and towels. The daring bathroom allows you to bask in a bubble bath while enjoying your favourite beverage watching the stars. That beautiful experience will be enhance by the symphony of the surrounding nature.
The cooking and dining area is set up for your highest comfort and equipped with everything you need.

Welcome to Our Cane & Cattle Farm on the Clarence River
Step onto our four‑generation working cane and cattle farm, where the smell of fresh‑cut cane, the hum of farm life, and the shimmer of the Clarence River set the tone for your stay. Your adventure begins at the entrance, marked by “Rusty,” our old sugarcane harvester — a true piece of local history and a favourite photo stop.
The winding driveway leads you through the paddocks, past different cane varieties and grazing horses and cattle. The front horse paddock will soon become our upgraded camp kitchen and guest area, and we’re excited to keep improving the space while staying true to the farm’s heritage.
Life on the Farm
Days here follow the rhythm of the land and the river. Wander through the cane, taste sweet juice straight from the stalk, and see how sugarcane is grown and harvested. Enjoy bike riding, walking trails, quiet fishing spots, and kayaking or canoeing straight from the property. The Ashby Creek swimming hole offers a calm, sheltered place for a refreshing dip.
Life on the River
This part of the Clarence is famous for water skiing, boating, and long, glassy stretches perfect for exploring. The fishing here is excellent, with calm water and plenty of great spots right from the property. We often boat across to Maclean for supplies, giving guests a real taste of river life.
The sunsets here are something else — short, stunning bursts of colour that light up the whole river and paddocks. As the sun drops, the sky turns gold, pink, and deep orange, and the Clarence reflects it all like glass. It’s a quiet, peaceful moment where everything slows down and the whole farm glows.
Exploring the Clarence Valley
There’s plenty to do nearby — enjoy a meal at the Harwood Hotel, stop for morning tea on Chatsworth Island, or join in local favourites like the Maclean Cane Harvest Festival, Maclean Highland Gathering, Yamba, Iluka and Brooms head famous beaches and the Grafton Races. The Clarence Valley is full of character, history, and country charm.
This is a place for people who love the outdoors, appreciate real farm life, and want a mix of adventure and tranquillity. Whether you’re here to fish, explore, learn, or simply breathe out, the farm gives you a genuine Northern Rivers experience.

The family friendly feel of the place, the easy access to the beach, great facilities, wildlife and wonderful welcoming staff and other campers made the experience a memorable one for our kids and friends. We loved how much we were surrounded by wildlife from the moment we arrived. The host clearly has an appreciation for gardening, as he had a thoughtfully appointed barbecue area surrounded by garden, and plenty of woodland flanking the dam. We identified at least 30 bird species and 3 frog species during the 3 nights we stayed. We loved watching the geese come and go from the dam, too. The portaloo and porta-shower were clean and well equipped. Firewood was provided for a barrel fire in the backyard. The yard's fencing is not enclosed, so it's not secure enough to leave an unleashed dog in it, and other campers were letting their off-leash dogs wander into our space unsupervised. With this in mind, if your dog is reactive to other dogs getting in its space, it's a good idea to keep it on a leash or inside to avoid any incidents. The host provided a lot of thoughtful things, like fresh fruit, matches for the backyard fire, cereal, bread and milk, a torch, and bath robes which helped us get to and from the outdoor shower in privacy.

Weekend Trip to River Views - Ashby Island Paradise
Awesome spot right on the river with easy access to boat ramps and surrounding towns.
The Sharstle is the perfect set up for a fishing camp or for a family group to enjoy the local area.. Also Squiggles is a friendly host who's readily available if you need anything.

Loved the treehouse! Great spot to unwind and relax. The treehouse was cosy and had everything we needed. We could even take our dog, and she loved it too, especially the spot by the fireplace. Would happily recommend and I dare say we’ll be back again.

This was an epic little spot. We had 2 tents set up and the little red cabin. Was perfect getaway for the family, fantastic little area with the creek running along the side. The cabin had everything that you required, and the kitchen was great.

We absolutely loved our 2 night stay. Stunning scenery, private, and a beautiful experience. The only thing that was not ideal was the bed. Very uncomfortable which resulted in little sleep and sore backs.

It was a pretty awesome little spot with all the amenities you could possibly need. Some highlights for our kids and us were the indoor chimney/stove and the hot tub by the river, very cool idea there, even if we found it hilarious the wild cattle were using the bath as a drinking trough on their way through. Extra special that you can bring your dog/s as well. Possibly needs a little extra love and attention as a few parts need slight repairs. The hosts pretty much thought of anything you might want for such a stay and we had a great experience.

For us, this was a near perfect experience.
We are not experienced campers and don't typically do camping getaways, but we wanted to do something outdoors with our 5 and 9 year old sons. We went with the big tent accommodation option and it was perfect. The site is self-contained enough that you don't need to worry about cooking, toilet or shower facilities, but remote enough that modern conveniences and entertainment (TVs, computers, phones etc) were not an option.
There are loads of places to explore and climb, or you can chill out, swim, and rest. We visited in mid September, so the days were warm and the nights were cool - perfect for day activities and getting fires going at night.
The only minor thing we would do differently next time is to bring a full size four wheel drive or more rugged SUV. Our SUV was probably okay, but having no off road driving experience, we were a bit nervous. But if you are steady, it is manageable.

This was our third stay at Rocky River Glamp Tent, and it just keeps getting better every time! We visited with our two children and our dog, and there was something for everyone to enjoy. We explored new places, had picnics, went fishing, used our stand-up paddleboard and enjoyed some beautiful hikes.
Kristy and Dan are wonderful hosts who always make us feel welcome and well looked after. The property is kept in excellent condition, and each time we return, we can clearly see how much hard work and care they have put into improving it.
Some friends joined us for one of the weekends, and everything went smoothly with no issues at all. It’s a fantastic place for families, friends and pets to relax, explore and enjoy the outdoors.
We always leave looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommended!

Weekend Trip to Eagle Ridge Bush Retreat
The "Cove" site was amazing.
The sound of the running rapids was the highlight and the proximity to the non flushing toilet was a bonus.
We had a large group so the extras stayed at the North Runway which was great to be close but not on top of one another.
The birdlife was another highlight, the cows, the goannas, were amazing to see too.
The road down (4WD) only was easy and fun!
