Whether you chose to stay of one of our campsites or in our pioneer-style cottage, all visitor being awoken to the natural bush sounds of lyre birds and cooling their heels in the crystal creek at the bottom of the property.
On your way in or out, be sure to check out the boutique village of Wollombi which is just 10 minutes from Cranky Rock, where you'll enjoy wine tasting, fresh produce and quaint cafes. Other must-see's in the area include the Olney State Forest and the Wattagan National Park.
The property is located just off a scenic drive, over a 2wd accessible creek crossing. It
is peaceful and secluded. Campers can use a bush shower if needed but it’s reliant on rain water in the tank. Dogs are welcome, but as it's a working farm, we ask the remain on leash at all times.

Nestled right up against the escarpment at an elevation of 450m, this high-end, off-grid 40 acre property effectively offers your own private slice of Macquarie Pass National Park - amazing views, giant cedar trees, fern forests, cascading waterfalls and palms surround.
It feels remote but it's only 90 min from Sydney, 30 min to Kiama and just 15 min to the shops. The property also offers the only hiking path up to the top of the escarpment for some truly amazing views.
As of September 2025, many of the trails on the property have been degraded by the rains and are now challenging for 2WD cars. If you're towing or it's wet we recommend AWD or 4WD vehicles.
Since this is coastal rainforest and it has been very wet, expect leeches anywhere it is damp. These are easily kept at bay with deet and or trousers tucked into socks.
We're not particularly price sensitive - until all those rate rises - but we are extremely value sensitive so we set out to make your stay extremely good value for your hard earned money. The land itself does most of the heavy lifting but also personal service and of course there's Lana to fall in love with.
Note, Mellows Rd is 2.6km long and rises 400m - in parts the road is a 15 degree grade. It's all paved but narrow so if you are towing a large heavy load, it's going to strain your car.

Bajimba Eco Camp is part of our stunning family property nestled in the surrounds of Mt Bajimba in the Northern Tablelands of NSW, 40 minutes south east of Tenterfield.
Historically known as a resting point for bullock teams hauling timber from the surrounding forests on their way to a saw mill in the lower valley, Bajimba is now home to Merv & Carey. We are just over 1080 metres above sea level, with 57 acres of eucalypt & grass tree forests, grass pastures, and a small (but mighty) organic farm.
Accommodation options include "West View “situated at our highest elevation with incredible views from the deck, and "Bullock Camp" which can accommodate tents, caravans or motor homes.
When making travel arrangements, note we are in NSW and therefore are 1 hour ahead of QLD during day light savings months. It is encouraged if possible that guests arrive before 6pm to ensure a smooth and stress free check in to camp. Being able to experience the sunset is all a part of your Bajimba stay!
Amenities for both sites include an ablution block with hot shower and composting toilet, with steam sauna and wood-fired hot tub available by appointment. Please call at time of booking if hot tub and sauna facilities are required (especially for same-days bookings). Wood fired hot tubs require four hours to heat appropriately. Also note that all toiletries are provided to ensure that our critical farm ecosystem is maintained.

Brooman is less than 30 minutes drive to some of the most beautiful beaches on the south coast. Shallow Crossing is 10 minutes to the south. North is Pigeon House car park, Yadboro and the base of The Castle. To the West there are hundreds of kilometres of Forestry and National Park roads through some of the most spectacular forested mountain country east of the Coastal Range.
The Clyde River Berry Farm is just minutes down the road. Local fish and chips, great coffee and handmade bread is 25mins drive at Burrill Lake. Some of the best restaurants and bars on the coast are less than 40 minutes drive at Milton and Mollymook.

The open air living allows guests to feel 100% connected to the natural environment, while at the same time having access to reliable, fast internet along with the comforts of a hot shower, flush loo etc. It is an ideal way to capture the restored feeling from remote camping, without the hassle of taking all your camping gear.
Sleeping arrangements: We have a custom-made inner spring mattress that is an unusual size due to the vintage age of the vintage caravan & therefore the size, is in between a King-single & double size width & a queen-size length (which may or may not be big enough for 2 people depending on your sleeping expectations). The actual measurements are: 1.13M wide & 2M long. There is also a separate king single-size bed, on the other side of the caravan, suitable for another adult, a child or two small children.
All linen and bath towels etc are provided. The caravan is cosy, with a TV, stereo, fridge, sink, wardrobe & storage space.
The property is not far from the beautiful bathhouses of Mullumbimby too ie Kiva Spa & Banya bathhouse
We are a pet-friendly property. If you wish to bring your friendly pet, they are welcome, but we charge a fee of $25 . Please select that you have a pet when making your booking. The property consists of a straw bale house, Tipis, Cottages, 5 stars shared facilities (hot showers, flushing toilets - disable toilet ), outdoor kitchen (gas bbq, pizza oven, all kitchen utensils, pots ), solar system and worm farm septic system.
The facilities of the camping are quite luxurious some guests labelling them "better than at home" so you can enjoy the bush experience & still have the comfort of a home.
Here you can discover amazing wildlife such as kangaroos, wallabies, wombats, cockatoos, lyre birds and a lot of other birds (designated bird drinking stations through a WIRES program which has a lot of success.)
Bring a camera and take in the incredible sights such as wildlife, cliffs, caves, and a magical view of Mount Yengo and Moruben from the top of the property.
They are designated walking tracks around the property with all variable lengths & difficulties.

"Dael's Mill" is a charming 2 bedroom cabin with a rich history, dating back to the 1800s. Set upon a breathtaking 50-acre retreat nestled a the foothills of the Watagan Mountains, midway between Sydney and Newcastle. Dael's Mill offers a uniquely horse-friendly escape where guests have the option to bring their beloved ponies for midweek or weekend stays, or enjoy an intimate escape in the mountains, to slow down, recharge, and reconnect.
The cabin accommodates 4-6 guests and is equipped with self-contained amenities including:

Or, you can try your luck fishing in the dam for some silver perch!

We brought the kids for a Farm stay experience and they loved it! We stayed in the ‘Blue Wren’ villa for the long weekend and it had everything we needed for 2 small children.. Margaret, Russell and April were very kind and welcoming. It’s a beautiful place to stay and the kids loved feeding the animals, the tractor ride, pony ride & peddle carts. Great location, easy drive to the wineries etc.

The Bower is a very special place. We had the most wonderful time connecting as a family in nature enjoying the beautiful set up that Rachel & Matt have so thoughtfully created. The attention to detail is second to none, the yurt is so comfortable, the outdoor kitchen and showers set up is brilliant, and the heated bath under the stars is unforgettable. Moreover, the wallabies bouncing across the field, and the little creek behind the yurt gave us hours of nature’s best entertainment.

Incredible experience. Such a beautiful property and welcoming hosts. Margaret was lovely to deal with and breakkie at their pub in town The Thirsty Horse was great too! We thoroughly enjoyed the horse riding and would do it again.
Highly recommend staying for a weekend out of town and something different and equally as good to the wineries in the area

We had the absolute best time at Eagle 🦅 Ridge. We stayed at the clamp Tent site. This provided a private stretch of the river which was just perfect. Our Jack Russell absolutely loved it. The hosts were also amazing as we requested some extra firewood and they bought it down straight away. We will certainly be back to visit Eagle 🦅 Ridge camp ground which is by far now our favourite camp site.
We are both looking forward to our next trip to Eagle Ridge!!

Weekend Trip to BAJIMBA Eco Camping and Farm Stay
We had such a wonderful stay at Bajimba Eco Farm. From the moment we arrived, the location and views were absolutely beautiful, scenic, and the perfect place to unwind and switch off from everything. Waking up to the surroundings each morning was a highlight of the trip. 🌿🌄
The glamping tent itself was incredibly well prepared and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It felt cozy but still connected to nature, which made the whole experience really special.
A big thank you to the host, Merv, who was so friendly and helpful throughout our stay. He went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed and shared helpful information about the property and the area. It really made the experience even better.
We’d definitely recommend staying here if you’re looking for a relaxing getaway in a beautiful setting. We’re already hoping to come back! ✨🏕️

Weekend Trip to Eagle Ridge Bush Retreat
Me and my partner stayed here for a couple of nights, we were very happy with the way the camp had been set up. The site sits with a beautiful part of the river right in front of it, where we spent a lot of the day relaxing and swimming in. We would recommend this to anyone wanting a quiet trip away to be surrounded by nature :)

Have you ever found that absolute secluded hideaway and think this is perfect I shouldn't tell another soul about this place! Well, this is it but its too magical to keep to myself. It's seriously well setup and thought out. The adventure starts on the track to get to the site and then its just serenity, nature and maybe a lucky sighting of Larry the Goanna and the pair of vibrant blue kingfishers. I brought in too much stuff thinking off grid but there was an array of cookware, BBQ, sideburners, a solar powered Kings esky fridge and a hot shower.

My service dog and I had such a great time.
Jacqui made us feel welcome and we were able to stroll around the farm looking at the animals. A peaceful place to stay and beautiful views. We stayed in the barn accommodation and looking forward to returning and camping at one of the campsites. I would definitely recommend to anyone who enjoys being out of the hustle and bustle of the city but close enough if you wanted to visit towns nearby.

Stumbled across this and what an Epic little spot! Super nice host in Merv. Epic view and sunset. Clean. Neat and tidy. All the things there that I could think I needed. Quiet and just some solace to be. Did have Telstra 5g as well for just incase. Would highly recommend.
