Cape Lookout State Park
Enjoy gorgeous sunsets and hypnotic waters in western Oregon.
Explore one snippet of the Oregon coast along Netarts Bay. Head west from Portland to discover migrating whales, towering pines, and soaring falcons. See unique rock formations, cliffs, and 3 miles of sandy beaches.
Summer months are warm enough for swimming in the Pacific. Feel free to look for beautiful glass floats in the sand. Towards the north end of the park, photogenic rock formations jut into the Pacific.
Get close to nature thanks to eight miles of walking trails. Rest for a few moments and take in the hilltop view at the end of Cape Lookout Trail. This 2-mile trail gradually rises to a panoramic point above the beach. This is a great spot to grab your binoculars to watch for a passing pod of whales.
