Just north of the Little Traverse Bay, lies Petoskey State Park. Three hundred and three striking acres of beautiful sandy beaches promises the urge to bathe in the moonlit waters. There is no boat launch on the beach (check out Harbor Springs if you’re looking for a lift off) so the water is tame and perfect for swimming. There is a beach house in the park as well as a picnic area, making this the perfect place to shimmy down to your skivvies and take a dip. Go get lost outside on foot and check out the Old Baldy or the Portage Trail, both accessible from the park. For overnight trips, choose from Dunes or Tannery Creek. Just outside of the park, art and culture boom in Harbor Springs. This is the perfect destination for every nature lover!
