Beautiful meadow for a nice little walk, amazing views, very quiet and private. Chuck greeted me when I arrived, and he provided water and firewood. Just a lovely weekend, even though it was a bit cold and drizzly all weekend. Recommend this place!

We loved tent camping on Chuck's land! It's beautiful, quiet and peaceful. We had a great view of the lake and at night, the most amazing view of the stars. We would love to come back again one day.

If you’re looking for solitude, connect with nature, and a stunning view this is the right place. The peace and quiet and tranquility is exactly what we needed to unwind and relax. Very private. Site is all to yourself. Close to Charlevoix if you want to explore the charming harbor town. We are looking forward to staying again.

Scenic overlook of lake Charlevoix absolutely gorgeous! Also Chuck thought of everything from well maintained outhouse to wood with lighter fluid next to fire ring. Only draw back with RV on top of unpaved hill, just be mindful of the forecast if there is any rain might have trouble getting up the hill. Highly recommend and will mostly likely book again in the future!

The pictures do not do this campsite justice. This is easily in my top 3 for most beautiful sites I’ve been on in our 14 years of camping. You are by yourself, no one is near you for approx. a mile. The sunset at the back of the property is a pretty as the view of the lake toward the front. The stars are bright with limited light pollution. We saw 3 falling stars and the space station during our visit. You are at the top of a hill. You have a well manicured grass road leading you to the top of the hill. I have a 33ft 7100 pound travel trailer. I engaged 4WD just in case, but had zero issues getting up the hill.

Great site, overlooking (from a distance) Lake Charlevoix. Private, beautiful, lots of space. Outhouse was clean. You do have a pretty steep hill to climb, FYI if you're bringing an RV of any type.

Chuck is always an amazing host. He gives clear instructions, the bathroom is always tidy, and he provides more than enough firewood. The view from this land is absolutely spectacular, and it offers more than enough space and privacy for myself, and my two dogs to spend time without worrying about anyone around us. Even though the property is very private, and you can feel secluded, the town of Charlevoix is just a short drive away and offers anything else that you may want to experience when it comes to restaurants and shops. I have stayed with Chuck a few times, and I am always excited to book his place for my next trip.

Chuck's overlook was awesome. It's on top of a secluded hill with a view of lake charlevoix. The spot was nicely mowed with water and firewood supplied. Also there's an outhouse for use too. It's out in the open so bring some sort of shade if it's a warm day but the nights where crisp and the fire pit was great. Chuck provides a couple of Adirondacks and a picnic table too. The stars where amazing at night and it's a short drive into charlevoix for shopping and dining. Great spot, highly recommend!

Beautiful setting in a big open field with a nice view of the lake. Plenty of space to explore and great vistas. There is a bathroom, but no shower or bathhouse. A very basic drive-in and camp situation. Easy to find and great directions.

I am on my first trip ever after converting a van into a tiny home on wheels. Starting in Indiana, I made my through Illinois, Wisconsin, and then Michigan. I essentially traveled around Lake Michigan. Chuck's place was BY FAR my favorite. So peaceful and the view is breathtaking. The sunrises over the lake in the mornings were gorgeous. I will definitely find my way back here again. Thanks Chuck for opening up your spot to us nomads!

A perfect secluded spot on top of a HUGE hill, Chuck supplied more than enough firewood for our 3 night stay. The sun rises over the lake for an amazing view. Only 5-10 minutes from downtown charlevoix it couldn't be in a better spot. Thanks Chuck we will be back again

Chucks’s land and camping spot was beautiful and secluded. We felt very safe, comfortable, and it had all of the amenities that we needed: firewood, chairs, picnic table, and a picnic table. It was just perfect!!! Landings Restaurant close by is very popular so go early, but it’s a great experience. Charlevoix is only 10 minutes away. Chuck was a great communicator and we really enjoyed our stay. Thanks so much!

The view was amazing! Perfect spot to find solace, and tranquility. He has a picnic table, chairs, and a fire pit. It's the only spot on site so you get to enjoy the view all to yourself!

This was our second stay at this incredible site, and it will not be our last!! The view, the privacy, the serenity, and Chuck’s communication are all superb!
Downtown Charlevoix is oh so close but we couldn’t bring ourselves to leave the site. You don’t find many places like this around so it’s hard to not want to take advantage of every minute.
If it is a quiet respite that you are seeking, with the opportunity to run around and be free, then book a night or two or three….

Chuck was an awesome host, he made sure the site was equipped with water and complementary wood before arrival. There was a portable bathroom that was a nice feature The property was beautiful to see Michigan in fall colors. I will definitely be coming back because the view and hospitality were impeccable.

My wife and I had a great time camping on Chuck’s property. The view of Lake Charlevoix was beautiful, and the stars were amazing. The spot was quiet but only a 10-15 minute drive from downtown Charlevoix. The fall colors were peaking while we were there, and it was a memorable trip!

The site is perfect being at the top of the hill overlooking Lake Charlevoix. We were a couple that camped in our Aliner pop up , site was very level.
Everything Chuck mentioned he would supply was there when we arrived, including plenty of firewood, fire extinguishers, and a 7 gallon container of water. There is a clean outside close to the campsite. Great signage and solar lights along path to campsite. There was nothing not to love about this property and campsite for a weekend escape. Short drive to Charlevoix, and East Jordan. Ironton Ferry to Boyne City is only about a mile away. Wonderful spot to get away!
