Really cool spot! Host said we could take any site since we were the only ones there! It was too dark to find the beach site but after walking over to it, it was beautiful. Highly recommend if you need to stay in the area!

Peterman Farm is a beautiful spot! It's a very peaceful location on a dead-end road with no neighbors near the farmhouse. The views are lovely: rolling hills, beautiful sunsets and visiting deer. This was the perfect place to camp. Don't miss out on this spot!

Jeannie & I loved Phil & Stormy's Place. It was quiet this time of year, and we were lucky to be the only folks at their Camp. They definitely had made it their own, and have great amenities. Firewood & Firepit, 30 amp service, a water hose , picnic table & dry kindling.. 2 Porta Potties on site, and a RV cleanout. Great Wooden games around the site for folks enjoyment. Phil is a world renown Game maker who makes Games and interesting items, which he makes in his shop on site. Sends it all around the world. Besides meeting Phil and Chit chatting, because we are both Hip Camp Hosts, Phil gave us a tour of his Shop and woodworking area. Pretty impressive. He was a great host, and is Passionate about Kubb, a Yard game that was originally played overseas, but because of Phi, brought the game to the US. He actually has his own playing field. We plan on visiting again, as we loved the vibe

The yurts were SO cute! The lights were gorgeous and the bathrooms were way more than I expected (a full private bathroom!). The space heater kept us VERY cozy. We were far away enough from our neighbors that we didn’t see or hear anyone else at night. Everything here was great and we highly recommend staying here!!

I loved the view! Granted it was very windy the day I stayed there so that’s something to consider since your by lake. Very easy to get to the site and overall pretty clean. Had some clutter here and there but not a big deal. My only major critique is one, maybe put stone down on the path to the beach because it had really deep ruts and it was very muddy. I got my car stuck quite a few times. The other is the shower water did not really get warm. Again, not the end of the world but addressing those few things would make the site even better than it already is. Overall I’d give it an 8/10

My family loved camping at Sandra's campsite! Her Yurt tents were wonderful! It was very peaceful being tucked in the woods with gorgeous lights in and around the tent. Sites are far enough apart so you are able to relax on your own. Yurt tents had comfortable beds, lights, coffee makers, heater/fan, and wood delivered daily. Everything was perfect

We (39') are parallel to the road facing the electrical connections, grill, and campfire.

Weekend Trip to Mackinaw Camp Inn

Perfect spot to explore the area, just 5 minutes to Mackinaw City and the bridge, Todd was very accommodating, allowing 2 RV’s to stay. 45’ truck/trailer(need to back in-no issues) and. 25’ Class C. Site has power (50/30/20) and very nicely fixed up just like your backyard deck. Couldn’t ask for a nicer place to return to after a day of exploring.

We got upgraded to the best spot! Best host ever!

Phil has a very nice little setup on his property. The sites are nice and the shower is nice. I highly recommend staying there if you don't like high volume campgrounds and just want peace and quiet.

Great place to stay with our teardrop camper. We booked on short notice to split up a long drive. Very convenient access off I-75 right by the bridge. Easy in and out with a teardrop trailer. Had a porta potty, electric, a light, fire pit, chairs, trashcan. Private enough, although it is close to the road and a house is visible close by on one side. If it's available the next time we pass through on our way to the UP we will definitely stay again!

This campsite gives you direct access to M-32, which leads to 131, M66, Charlevoix, Petoskey, East Jordan, Traverse City, Mackinaw City, Mackinaw Island, Sleeping Bear Dunes, etc. The beautiful fern, filled property is rustic to a T! Outhouse on site, newly planted fruit trees on site, very rustic, serene, beautiful, access to the Milky Way, and meteoroid showers. One mile from launch into South Arm of Lake Charlevoix, and less than 0.5 mile to Jordan River Rogers Road access. Beautiful and peaceful area. Located in Lake Charlevoix Watershed Area. Visit some of the local beautiful farms such as Friske's, Lavendar Hill, local farmers markers, and vineyards! There is a casino located in Petoskey on Little Traverse Bay of Lake Michigan as well as Mackinaw, and are a short drive away! Take a jump off the breakwall, or visit the newest bridge at Boyne Mountain Resort, just a stone's throw away! Relax in peace, the woods, and enjoy a little slice of heaven. There is no electricity, running water, or trash services. Please pack in, pack out. Please do not leave discarded or broken beer or alcohol bottles on property. There are over 30 fruit trees on site, from Black Pearl and Bing Cherries, Apricots, Peach trees, Honeycrisp apples trees etc, 250 sunflower seeds were also planted this season. This is a very delicate area near a local watershed source, Deer Creek, wetlands on property, and also fruit tree farm in it's early stages, organic strawberries, and organic raspberries growing as well. If you can't respect the trees, plants, flowers, on property please do not book! Also with all of the fruit tree plantings, parking is limited to one to two vehicles inside property at site, other vehicles can park along the drive on M32. About

1250-acre Cheboygan State Park will seduce nature-lovers and sightseers with its rare wildflowers and enticing views of Lake Huron. A convenient color-coded system of trails welcomes hikers, bikers and skiiers to view these sights while taking in deep breaths of that unmistakable Great Lake air. Throw in boating off Duncay Bay, lake or creek fishing, add hunting to the mix, and you’d be hard-pressed to find an outdoor enthusiast who didn’t love this place. But no matter what your jam, make sure to sneak in a visit to the remains of Cheboygan Point Light lighthouse. Now little more than a stone foundation overgrown with trees, it’s nevertheless a cool destination for an afternoon ramble.

When to go

The ideal time to visit Cheboygan State Park is during the summer months, from June to August, when the weather is warm and the park is in full bloom. However, autumn also offers a spectacular display of fall foliage. Winters can be harsh with heavy snowfall, making some areas inaccessible, so it's less ideal for visitors not seeking winter sports.
