Feeling the river or the bay today? At Susquehanna State Park, both are at your fingertips. Boaters can hit the big waters from the Susquehanna River, and fishers can test their skills while catching bass, perch, catfish and carp. Head out in the spring, and you can catch the annual shad and herring runs. If you’re more of a landlubber, the park offers 15 miles of hiking trails, shared by humans and horses, and lots of sites to walk back in time, including The Rock Run Grist Mill and mansion. For tots, Susquehanna State Park interpretive programs are available throughout the summer.
