Secluded River View is a flat grassy space on the banks of the Conestoga River ideal for tent camping. Guests will enjoy 0.4 acre of grass to themselves surrounded by a creek, river and woods. The site includes a fire ring, picnic table, hammock overlooking the river and swing for kids. A natural sandbar in the river provides a fun place for children to play, and explore (and throw rocks into the river as every kid seems to love to do). The river is normally slow enough to paddleboard, canoe, or kayak. Tubing is popular and there are several places that you can drive to and access upstream and float back to your campsite. Common fish species for fishing include bass, catfish and carp. It’s the perfect place to unplug and reconnect with nature! Firewood is available at the campsite for $5 per bundle. Composting toilet is available on site. Available for rent: Tubes- $10/day for one tube *** One person kayak- $30/day Two person kayak- $30/day Canoe- $30/day Paddles and life jackets included ***Shuttle upstream for tubing can often be arranged at various drop offs points depending on how far you want to tube. Tons of space to spread out along the river. Gorgeous property with tall trees and privacy. We were met with a bundle of firewood brought to us by our gracious host. The Adirondack chairs were very comfortable to sit around the large fire pit. I would definitely recommend this site for campers with simple needs. Peaceful and serene location behind the host’s house, not far from amenities. Pull up a chair and relax by the river.

I’ll be back. The amount of space you get to yourself is unbeatable, and so perfect for pets. I hate being surrounded by people when I go camping. Gorgeous spot and extremely private. Yes there is a camp across the way but it was mostly quiet and my side was completely private! Nobody to bother me or my dog. Host was super responsive and polite. The map to the spot was perfect. The hammock, chairs, table, fire pit, and tree swing was a nice addition. You have to bring your own grate if you like to cook on them, but that’s personal preference. This might be my new go to local spot.

The perfect amount of seclusion!

Spent 3 nights on Andrew's property. I had been looking for a spot where I could essentially wake up, and roll on to my paddleboard; this was perfect! The property is spacious, even, with great balance of sun and shade! There is a family campground directly across the river, but it's just a very small strip of it that is visual, but not at all noisy or disruptive. The location is somewhat affected by road noise, but almost all during the daylight hours. Andrew's communication was terrific! The site was clean and ready to go when I arrived, firewood brought down for me that afternoon. A composting toilet is privately tucked in just a 60 second walk from the site and is suitably clean (it's an outdoor toilet, you can only do so much lol) I was told that the hammock, fire ring, and trash can are new, and IMO, wonderful additions! This was such a beautiful and relaxing experience ... I am grateful to Andrew for sharing this space, and I am already brainstorming my stay for next summer!

We really enjoyed Andrews beautiful campsite! It's fully secluded but close to town, Our kids really enjoyed the land, it's very spacious with swings and a hammock. The river is beautifuy clean and perfect depth to swim. Additionally we enjoyed paddling on the river. Andrew is exceptionally responsive and helpful and accommodates anything you need. Thank you for making our first family camping experience so wonderful!

We loved staying at this site. It was a secluded, peaceful site. Very flat ground with many areas to set up tents. There is a campground across the river that was a bit noisy with their Saturday night golf cart parade but other than that, it was everything I wanted. The host was very attentive and brought down dry wood. Great bird watching and nature exploring. Beware of the Stinging Nettle. Would definitely camp here again when looking for a close by easy site!

Andrew’s place was great. He was very responsive and helpful, and my kids were overjoyed to meet his pets. The site was spacious and clean, right by a river. There was a firepit- with firewood included, and a swing for the kids. Close location to Lancaster places we were visiting.

The site was great, literally right on the river. The river is shallow there and great for kids to play. Andrew was super helpful and responsive, provided firewood for us and even brought down a tube for the kids to use. Would stay again!

We enjoyed our stay at this campsite! The location right by the river was peaceful — such a lovely spot to unwind. The host was very friendly and helpful. He brought us dry firewood and even let us use some of his personal items when we asked, which we really appreciated. There is another campsite across the river. We heard people now and then during the night, but it didn’t bother us and overall, we had a great night. Would recommend!

Its a great little spot next to the river. Fairly flat, pretty large campsite. You will see tubers/kayaking from time to time. You'll also see your fair share of ducks, birds, and fireflies!

Solid spot with a flat area and fire pit. Note it gets very muddy for most of the site near the river. There is only a fire pit and wood provided so bring trash bags, tables, etc. The compost toilet also fills up quick so you may want to bring your own. The wood was dry and the river access was great to cool down in peak summer. There is a park across the river that can be very noisy. There is however just one site here at the property which is nice for privacy. Very close to town.
