The 66-acre property has been licensed as an airport (PS20) since the 1980s. It is currently an active, private airport. We don't sell fuel or offer services beyond camping so we primarily have only air traffic with few to no landings each year. In other words, it is very quiet here except during the occasional low pass. We are very eager for pilots to fly in and camp out! The beautiful sunsets and stargazing night skies are a real treat for anyone that comes to visit. Lots of deer, birds, and other wildlife can be seen out and about. Bring your telescope and binoculars to view all the property has to offer! Note that we are always working to improve our slice of heaven, thus we do have tools, vehicles, and equipment stored around the farm that if not used now will be one day. We appreciate your understanding that some areas are used for our personal / farm storage. If you're not into looking at our farmware, there are a few nearby campgrounds. The hot tub is located next to the owner's home. The Lil Bit O Heaven Campground is the perfect base camp for your summer adventure! Firewood is available onsite most of the summer. The Guinea farm is 18 acres of feild and forest on the rural middle pennensula. Only 1 mile from 2 separate secluded beaches and a boat launch. There is verly little traffic or light polution here, nature is at your fingertips. Come visit the farm and experience agrotourism at it's finest. Pick your own veggies in the community garden and meet the Guinea fowl! Enjoy the windernes and learn about the local ecosystem here on the middle pennensula. There are 3 sites spaced out across the 18 acres set apart for privacy. Wisteria is a primative site closer to the entrance gate. Trilogy is a suspended tree tent in the pines 700' beyond that and seperated by dense forest. Stargazer Tiny cabin is an offgrid rustic camping cabin on the back side of the property. Each site is surronded by several acres of forest and close to the edge of a large feild. There are romaing guinea fowl that may come make a very loud appearance as they canvas the property eating bugs. Deer, Turkeys, Bald Eagles, foxes, and other wildlife are common guests also. Mid-summer is what I call frog season, Tree frogs are abundant and provide a wonderful soundtrack. There are free to use bicycles, an axe throwing board, and cornhole boards available. 4 miles from shopping and dining in Mathews Virginia, 15 miles to Gwynn Island. Gwynn's Island is an island located in the Chesapeake Bay off of Virginia's Middle Peninsula. The island is located in the northeast part of Mathews County, south of the mouth of the Piankatank River. It is connected to the rest of the county by a swing bridge over Milford Haven.

We were in the Tiny Home and it had amazing views of the lavender and rolling hills. We had fun walking to visit the ducks, geese, donkey and LGDs. Weather did not cooperate but the heater worked perfectly.

The little tiny house was spectacular! The land and animals and lavender was so wonderful and they have a cute gift shop and eggs for sale. Will definitely be coming back. Perfect spot for the Woodburn tulip festival and Silver Falls State Park.

Weekend Trip to The Foxes Family Farm

We couldn’t have asked for a better first Hipcamp experience than Kat and Steve’s Fox’s Hideout. It was the perfect glamping getaway and a charming, peaceful escape from city life. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth. Kat and Steve made us feel less like guests and more like family. Their thoughtfully built property is clearly a labor of love and embodies everything you’d hope for in a family-run retreat. Our kids had an absolute blast! Between the trampoline and the tree rope swing, the experience felt magical and wholesome—especially with petals gently falling from the trees as they played. Do not skip the pastry add‑on! Kat and Steve previously owned a bakery, and waking up to generous, warm cherry turnovers, and other pastries was an incredible treat. The accommodations were no frills but comfortable. Even the small details stood out, like their well water that tasted better than bottled. Located close to San Francisco, Fox Hideout is an easy, worthwhile getaway, and we fully intend to return. Kat and Steve are wonderful hosts whose property reflects the true heart and pride they put into it. Highly recommended!

Very nice location and nice camping site with great views. Clean cabin with everything we needed. Great place for small group of people to stay and be in the nature. My family and I enjoyed the getaway very much!

Ian’s Stargazer cabin lived true to its name! The fire of the night sky was so magical, and the inside of the cabin was so well-designed and cozy. It had everything we needed! We also loved meeting the many birds on the property and of course the sweet dogs Sam and Zoe!

2 nights at Hideout Mountain Lodge

The full amenities, were a plus. The fridge was great, no need for ice refills. Wifi, stove, microwave, and shower/toilet came in handy, as did the heating(40° temps). Dark sky viewing was excellent, and made viewing Jupiter and the total lunar eclipse with my telescope, amazing. Close proximity to Julian is great.

The cabin itself was really cute and functional. We were there in February when it was cold and rainy and stayed warm and cozy. Being so close to beaches was amazing, beautiful places in every direction and the property itself was also really spacious and cool. Ian as a host was kind, communicative, and fun to interact with, he was ready to accommodate on site issues and also not be overbearing. Would highly recommend! And would love to go back in the warmer months. Thanks so much~~
