What Camping Should Be! + WOW views
Canvas tent · Sleeps 2This is what camping should be like! Slumbering in a comfy queen bed (NOT the hard ground). Sleeping in a tent that doesn’t leak! Not having to set up your own tent. Having a private campsite with your own bathroom facilities (who else doesn't like public bathrooms?)
The tent is situated among some cedars in a meadow overlooking the North Mountain Range. At night, you'll have an excellent view of the stars.
If you like adventure, the outdoors, and new things, this place is for you! The area also offers many opportunities for adventure— hiking, rock climbing, zip-lining, exploring caves, viewing waterfalls, stargazing, and more!
It is a 3-minute walk from the parking area to the tent. You MUST READ the check-in instructions very carefully before you come (we will send them 2 days before arrival). Otherwise, you may get lost in the woods. If you are sure to READ AND FOLLOW our instructions, you will find check-in to be quite easy.
Amenities? Queen bed, mini-fridge, electric lights, outhouse, outdoor shower, outdoor propane stove, fire pit, picnic table, all your bedding, towels and washcloths, 6 gallons of nonpotable water (you can walk to the hydrant for more- it’s a 5 min walk), an electric fireplace for heat, and an AMAZING view.
We will have instructions for using the shower, using the outhouse (don’t worry, it’s just a few instructions), making a campfire, etc. in the tent.
The tent is situated in a meadow overlooking the mountains- You can see Nelson Rocks from the yard. No other dwellings or vacation cabins can be seen from the tent when the leaves are on the trees. We have 3 other cabins in the area, but they cannot be seen from the tent.
Local attractions you may want to research before you come: Seneca Rocks, Spruce Knob, Nelson Rocks, Seneca Caverns, North Fork Mountain Trail, Gaudineer Scenic Area, Blackwater Falls, Elakala Falls, Davis and Thomas, Douglas Falls, Mountain Rail, Dolly Sods, Canaan Valley, etc!
We have been getting people outside for 14 years now with our vacation cabins. However, this is our first glamping tent. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns you have. That will help us know what we should be adding to our description!
