The cabins are primitive, no electric or water. There are solar lights inside and and out also a propane wall heater for chilly nights. This is comfortable camping in the Beautiful Mountains of WV. There is a shower house with instant hot water and outside spigots for water, a porta potty, a fire-pit for cooking and camp fires at night while star gazing. The property is over 100 acres in Greenbrier county WV. There is a lot of history in this area. There are tons of wildlife on the property as well. We have awesome trails with GREAT Views for hiking or horse back riding should you decide to bring your own equine. Pets are allowed with prior notice (not to be left unattended in the cabins). We have a private dog park that you will have access to on the property. We also offer doggie daycare & boarding here at the farm (prior proof of vaccine is required) should you need our services. We also house horses/ponies/ goats/sheep/geese/ducks & chickens here on the farm. We are located 4 miles from downtown Lewisburg which has wonderful stores, antique shops and restaurants. Some of the attractions in town include Toot (taste of our town) , The Chocolate festival, WV State Fair, Carnegie Hall not to mention The Greenbrier Resort which is only 15 mins away. Also in the area is the Greenbrier River Trail 77 miles long for hiking, biking and horseback riding. The host provides clear, precise directions and instructions, which are necessary because of the otherwise confusing route to get there--i.e. you physically have to go to the store parking lot to turn around, because of the tight switchback angle of the access road.

This is the best Hipcamp site we’ve encountered. The hosts are phenomenal and everything they did to prepare for us was so well thought out I was amazed. If you have an AWD you ca make it to most of the sites she offers if the weather is right. We will never look for a different camp in this area. It was perfect. Private, gorgeous, wooded. There was an amazing canopy of trees above us that made us feel like we were in a different country. The hosts were so amazing. Everything we needed was right there. What an amazing stay for us! Loved it!!

We camped late in the season so there were not many other campers around. Not sure how noisy it would be in peak season. Our time was quite quiet. We had two tents and two vehicles which had more than enough space at the site. There was an open area above us where we could really see the stars when it was clear. Other camp sites were not right next to us like in some of the state parks. We enjoyed our evening walk along the river. Most of all we really, really liked the quick access to the Rail-to-Trail. We rode most days enjoying the scenery. There is quite a difference in the standard of the bathrooms and the showers. They are more than adequate but the updates to the bathrooms really stands out. Remember, there is no trash service. Pack it in and out. One thing - please do not smoke in the bathrooms. The smell lingers for days.

Weekend Trip to Starry Nights New River Gorge

such an expansive campsite with gorgeous night sky views and not to mention the sunrise! picnic table and fire pit are the perfect addition to this rustic location. try not to arrive after dark if you can help it; it’s a windy and sorta narrow mountain road to get there and the horseshoes can be hard to spot for the hidden valley site at night (easy during the day).

1 night at Hideaway Hills Primitive Camp

Kelli's land was absolutely beautiful and just a stunning amount of activities you can do. You could and should book an additional day to explore this vast campground. I stayed here on the way to go whitewater rafting and Kelli's spot was a highlight of the entire trip. Slept with some deer right outside the tent. Woke up and watched some fish jumping in the pond. Got to pet the friendly dog. Kelli is a perfect example of what HipCamp is about. Her and her husband put a tremendous amount of work into their property and it shows. Stay here for sure. Campsites are spaced out and its such a calming place to stay. I will be back but will add an extra day to explore more. I simply cannot say enough positive things about this campground but when you stay you will understand what I mean when this place is truly a hidden gem.
