**FOR THE MONTHS OF MAY AND JUNE 2025, TAKE ADVANTAGE OF OUR "NEW HOST" 20% DISCOUNT - USE CODE KAB92FTE ** **All sites accessible by 4WD vehicle or moderate uphill hike only (can provide ride with side-by-side if needed). Located outside of Catlettsburg, Ky, in the community of Durbin, our 50 acres are on a one-lane, dead end road which makes for a peaceful, quiet night’s sleep under the stars and amongst the trees. Our sites are completely primitive (no running water, no electricity, no sewer), hike-in or 4WD accessible only, in several locations on the hills behind our residence. Potable water (2.6 gallons in a jug with spout) and portable toilet in privacy tent provided. (Privacy tent can also double as a shower if you have a portable shower system) *We will take you to your site with our side-by-side if needed* All sites are ideal for tent campers, overlanding-style rigs, or possibly a small, off- road trailer/camper, with fire ring and firewood provided at each site. You will have access to all trails (for hiking only) and shared access to the fishing pond (Catch and Release only at this time). There are plenty of trees for shade, hammocks, etc. There is also an abundance of wildlife: Birds, deer, turkeys, rabbits, squirrels, bobcats, coyotes, and even an occasional black bear. Large firepit at pond for socializing, if desired. Quiet time from 10pm to 8am as a courtesy to other campers. Whether you're looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life for a few days or just looking for a safe, quiet place to spend the night on your way to your next destination, we hope you'll choose to spend it with us at Hideaway Hills!

Exactly What We Needed!

We had the best time at Hideaway Hills! The site itself is spacious and beautifully laid out with plenty of room to spread out, unwind, and truly enjoy nature. The hosts thought of everything: they provided fresh water, a fire starter, and even a lighter, which made getting settled in super easy. The site was much larger than expected (pictures def don’t do it justice!) and we had plenty of room for us to spread out, which is nice when traveling with teenagers. The privacy tent and camp toilet were thoughtful touches that made the primitive setup feel so much more comfortable. My husband and I really enjoyed our coffee in the morning on the deck while the kids slept in, soaking in the peaceful surroundings before the day got going. Fishing was absolutely amazing (the catfish are HUGE) and the nearby hiking trails were well marked and full of wildlife. We saw deer just off the trail, and the kids got a kick out of the owls hooting all around us. Even though we didn’t bring our dogs this time, we definitely will next time! The site is incredibly dog-friendly, with water bowls, treats, and the sweetest resident dogs It’s rare to find a place that feels this peaceful and secluded, yet so welcoming. Kelli and Doug went so above and beyond, you instantly feel like family. Can’t wait to come back!

I’ve stayed at this campground multiple times, and I have to say—it’s one of the best, if not the best. The hosts go above and beyond to make your stay even better, whether it’s bringing you an extra lighter or helping you up the hill to your campsite. They’ve got you covered! This is my favorite place to camp, and I’ll keep coming back—so should you!
