Great spot! The owners provide a portapotty and firepit. There is ample flat ground for a large tent/multiple tents and cars. Beautiful property! The water is clean and shallow; warms up midday for swimming! We took our dog on bike rides around. Being the only people there with so much space was the best! We were able to let our reactive dog off-leash and so appreciated the ability to bring him outside with us. Dann, the owner, was so friendly and accessible! We booked another visit for next week so we can take the kids!
great spot right at the water. secluded and safe. Dann could not have been nicer. We will definitely be back soon.

Thank Nico, we are glad you enjoyed Riverdale and look forward to having you back soon!

Beautiful campsite! Sad we didn’t get to book it intime again next weekend!

Thank you for visiting us and we hope you'll be able to get back out to Riverdale soon!
Great spot

Thanks Dan, we hope you'll come back soon!
Great spot. Lots of space. Great shade. Very private.
The kids swam all day long.

As the weather gets warmer, having a safe and secluded place all to yourself to swim and enjoy the water is such a relief and we're glad you enjoyed your stay at Riverdale!
The site was great! We had 13 people out for a birthday party with plenty of space for everyone. The river was great for cooling off in the hot weather!

Hi Michelle, it is so nice to know your group had a good time out on the river, at the farm, especially to celebrate the birthday of someone you care about - we look forward to having you back soon!
Lovely private spot on the river. Peaceful place with welcoming host.

Hi Jennifer, we are glad that you found our campsite to be peaceful and welcoming - please come visit us again soon!
Beautiful campsite; not much quiet
Overall, we had a good time at this campsite, but it didn't meet all of our expectations, and we're not sure if we'd go back due to the noise pollution.
PROS:
-The host was incredibly responsive to questions prior to our arrival.
-This is a HUGE campsite, and felt very private.
-The firepit overlooks the river which was very beautiful.
-There are steps built in leading down to the riverbank which makes accessing it very easy.
-Our dogs had an incredible time romping around the fields and playing in the river.
-The toilet area was very private and well-kept.
CONS:
-The host said someone would stop by after our check in on the first day to make sure we didn't need anything, but no one came. Luckily we brought our own firewood, because they also told me it would be available, but we didn't see any on site.
- There was no mention of there being a shooting range on the hosts property prior to us arriving, and we heard target practice for several hours 2/4 days we were there. Gunshots are very triggering to a lot of people, so it would have been nice to have a heads up.
- Likely not the host's fault, but there was a crew of workers installing a pipe system/pump into the river all day on July 4th. The pump then hummed for the remainder of the night and all of the next day, shattering the peace and quiet of the campground. The pipe also goes directly across the best area for swimming, making this location a lot less ideal.

Danielle, thank you for the thoughtful and detailed review. We'll be sure to add more details on the range - while it is more than 1/4 mile away from the campsite, we agree that it should be something folks are absolutely aware of when they book. While we offer a firepit, we don't offer firewood, so I'm sorry that you had the impression that we did. We do hope you'll come visit again with your family to our special spot on the river!
