in Hillside Gateway to Acadia/Schoodic, MaineThis is a beautiful, secluded spot - and the shelter is gorgeous. Alisa was wonderfully communicative and we spent a terrific evening, protected by the wind, on her property. Stay here if you can!!
Past trip
in The Old Weber Farm, WashingtonGreat siteâI loved the cats that came out to play with me. Such sweet little guys who were so friendly and curious. I got in late and it was raining most of the time I was there so I didnât get to explore much but everything I saw was lovely and nothing was lacking.

Canât speak highly enough about this property. Not only is it gorgeous, but I was made to feel so at homeâI was greeted so kindly, set up with a fire pit and all the fixings, and even given a (delicious) beer! Really loved my time here, watching the sun set and the stars dot the skyâŚone of the best camping experiences Iâve had in quite some time. Stay here!
Past trip
in Rusty Star Ranch Riverview, MinnesotaThis was an absolutely gorgeous place to spend the evening. The river at sunset is stunning, the amenities (rocking chair, hammocks, etc.) add so much, and Tim is a kind and gracious host who went out of his way to show me around and make me feel settled. The nearby trail makes for a wonderful walk in the morning and you get used to the highway noise very quickly. One last note: saw the best stars here I think Iâve ever seen.
