This is a very rustic, off-grid campsite—best for those who appreciate nature and are prepared to rough it. There are no hookups, electricity, or potable water. An outhouse compost toilet is available (bring your own TP). No showers or dump stations. Please do not dump grey/black water anywhere on the property. We allow small RVs, vans, and trailers under 24 ft. No 5th wheels. 4WD is recommended but not required. Garden carts are available, upon request, to haul gear if needed. Important to Know: No pets (we’re a working farm with chickens and farm dogs). Fires allowed only in designated pit. Bring firewood (or purchase from us) and always follow fire bans. Pack out your trash (small bin next to outhouse provided for cans/bottles). No cutting trees or using the large bonfire pile in the center of the field. Arrive before dark—there are no lights on site or along the field road. If muddy, you may need to park at the bottom of the access road. We rent to up to 3 groups per night, sites are first come, first serve. Our family farmhouse dates back to the 1850s, with five remaining acres including the barn, fields, and woods. Bug spray is recommended. Although black bears are generally shy and usually avoid humans, they are opportunistic and will search for human food supplies when natural foods are not available. Maintaining a sustainable bear population in New Hampshire depends on minimizing human-bear conflicts. It is illegal to intentionally feed bears in New Hampshire. Intentional feeding can create problems within residential areas and can result in fines. It also may threaten the life of the bear, if it becomes a nuisance animal as a result of this feeding. Please keep your food in your car when you are not at the site and when you are sleeping. The property has views of Mount Martha and the Presidential Mountain Range. There are easy walking trails throughout the property. There is a field to play games; Soccer, wiffle ball, corn hole and yard croquet can be used. One of the tent sites has water and electricity and another has electricity with nearby water. There is bathhouse with two toilets and two vanities as well as a shower with changing room. Potable water is also available from a spigot at the bathhouse. There are over six acres of mowed fields for activities and walking. There is also a lovely brook running through the property with many areas you can cool off in from the summer heat. This property has a lengthy history going back to colonial times. It’s been a farm, an apple orchard, and once had a sawmill. Please check the calendar for available dates. Check-in is no later than 9pm unless late arrival arrangements have been made prior to booking. Whenever possible, try to arrive before dark because there are no lights at most sites, which can make setup difficult. A note regarding electric vehicles (EV): If you have an electric vehicle and would like to tent camp, please select one of our full hookup RV sites. If you have the proper electric adapter for your vehicle, you can charge your vehicle at the 30A RV plug while tenting in the field near the RV site. We do not supply these adapters, and we cannot allow you to charge your vehicle unless you have reserved an RV site with full hookups. Awesome location and Ryan is a great host and good communicator. We stayed in February after multiple snow falls and he had it plowed out enough to easily fit our camper and truck. Great location and very quiet. Definitely coming back, would love to use the fire pit when it’s not snowed in!

I really enjoyed this Hipcamp. The host took the time to connect with me prior to arrival about the winter weather conditions and what to expect when I arrived to the site. Which I felt was a nice touch. The sounds of the brook bubbling close by, even with a layer of snow, gave it a deep woods feel. There was plenty of dry firewood available to use as well. Looking forward to returning to this hidden gem in warmer temperatures!

Dugout Hideaway was an awesome spot to camp! It’s well maintained, private, quaint, and the electric hookup is a nice touch! The firewood is also a very nice touch. The lookout platform is super cozy. I sat there while drinking my morning coffee, I’m a big fan of it. I would certainly stay here again. Anytime there’s a babbling brook, sign me up!

We really enjoyed this spot. Nice and quiet. We were the only ones, but it's far enough off the road for privacy. Close to the White Mountains and some great restaurants and coffee shops. Will definitely return again.

Weekend Trip to Sacred Nectar Sanctuary

We had such a wonderful stay at this campsite! Our host Nick was incredibly accommodating and always quick to respond, it made the whole experience feel easy and welcoming from start to finish. We brought our two kids and our German Shepherd! The site couldn’t have been more perfect for all of us. The kids had a blast exploring, and our dog felt right at home. He was off leash the entire time and the second we pulled up, we ended up meeting Chaga, the friendliest Husky you will ever meet! Chaga stayed right outside our RV the entire night and waited to greet us in the morning. He and our dog Scout got along instantly. Scout did not want to leave on the last day! We had to literally drag him back into the RV lol. They will be best friends fureverrr 😂🐶🐕 It’s not always easy to find a place that works so well for the whole family, but this spot truly did. The campsite was extremely peaceful, spacious , clean, and thoughtfully set up with the most amazing views of the mountains. We also ended up using the sauna as well, which was so relaxing. I wish we could’ve stayed there longer than two days. We will definitely be back another time when it gets a little bit warmer. We highly highly recommend this location for families and dog owners! 🏕️🐾✨

Wanted to say a big thank you for letting me stay at your location. Waking up this morning and seeing that field was incredible — easily one of the nicest spots I’ve ever stayed at on Hipcamp. I can only imagine what the other locations on your property look like if this one was that amazing. And your dog waiting by my van door first thing in the morning to play with Chloe absolutely made my day. That was the perfect way to start the morning. Really appreciate the hospitality, man. Best site I've ever stayed at! Good amount of space between sites but still an easy walk to the kitchen+water, outhouses were clean and convenient with an excellent sense of interior decoration! We stayed at Birch Grove on a particularly cold, rainy, and windy Halloween weekend and Nick already had a large tarp set up over the easiest tent spot.... plus a cow skull and a few candles for the ambiance. Excellent vibes 👌

HUGE campground but the only one that is at the trailhead for the fantastic Franconia Ridge loop so its worth it. Hit the trailhead early and you will be back in camp while everyone is still on the trail which makes it perfect for a mid afternoon snoozer. Showers are incredibly nice, fifty cents for 4 minutes.

Lafayette Place Campground

Best place to go if you are not familiar with the area or don't want to drive far as there are many trails that start at the campground, from mountains to bike trails to leisure trails. I have been coming here since I was little and have never had a bad experience.
