44mi from Little Pend Oreille National Wildlife Refuge · 14 sitesGenesis Mountain Farm is a 37-acre working farm, retreat, and event venue set in one of the most scenic and sought-after areas of the Sandpoint, Idaho region. Surrounded by expansive natural beauty, the property rests at the base of the northern mountains and overlooks the stunning Pend Oreille River Valley to the south—offering wide-open skies, peaceful forests, and unforgettable views in every season.
We are a year-round farm with a vibrant mix of agriculture and hospitality. Our high-mountain pasture and iconic Douglas Fir barn are home to a variety of livestock including cattle, goats, pigs, rabbits, chickens, ducks, and turkeys. Our closed-loop aquaponic greenhouse produces fresh food 365 days a year, supplying our CSA members, local restaurants, our family, and animal operations.
Genesis Mountain Farm also serves as a unique agritourism, retreat destination. Thoughtfully landscaped gathering spaces host farm-to-table dinners, weddings, corporate events, private retreat experiences, and hands-on educational courses in sustainable aquaponics and regenerative farming.
The upper two-thirds of the property remain wild and forested, featuring dramatic granite amphitheater-like clearings with expansive—sometimes 360-degree—views of surrounding mountain ranges, river valleys, and nearby waterways. It’s a rare blend of working land and preserved wilderness.
Onsite retreat experiences may include farm and greenhouse tours, seasonal farm participation, farm to table breakfast/dinner, hiking, biking, snowshoeing, sledding, and ATV riding. Directly north of the farm lies over one million acres of public forest—our “backyard”—with extensive road systems and trails for off-road exploration.
