There was originally a camper parked here with a roof over it while the main house was built back in th 1970s. When the home was finished the camper was moved out and it was turned into the cabin. It originally had a wood stove but it was always to hot so we replaced it with an electric heater and at the same time remodeled the interior. It is very comfortable for two to three people as it only has the bunk beds, microwave, small closet and dining table with 4 chairs including a rocker and a cabinet with pots, pans and silverware for your convenience. Learn more about this land: Country cabin is on the treeline at the base of O'tool mt. across the street from Lk. Roosevelt. Includes bunk beds, frig, microwave, hot plate, coffee pot, toaster, dining table, small closet, firepit with firewood and horseshoe pits with shoes. One mile to boat launch. Ten miles to nearest loaf of bread. Close to logging roads. You will have aprox. one acre to yourself. Quiet and secluded. We are close by if ever there is anything you need. Recently we were very close to the Crown Creek fire and a hotshot crew came and "prept" our property and cut down a lot of the underbrush therefore changing the landscape around the cabin so the main picture has changed to the current one. There are mountains, wetlands, meadows and forest land right in our back yard where we often see wildlife that call our area home. Elk, deer, turkeys, geese, ducks. rabbits, squirrels and the occasional cougar or bear. At any time, one critter or another will stroll through and check out our guests. We don't have a view of the river but it's nearby and our meadows and mountains offer a peaceful scene all its own. Camp surrounded by Old Growth Cedars and towering Grand Fir, stargaze by night, enjoy a campfire, smores and time with your family, Our peace includes little to no cellular service and don't offer internet or satellite tv. Feels like we're in the country but we live on a paved county road and only 4 miles from the city of Priest River. Bring your boat for a trip on the Pend Oreille River to Lake Pend Oreille. Launching is a short distance away at the Mud Hole, Priest River City Beach or Riley Creek Campground. Try your hand at fishing for bass, kokanee, perch, northern pike, and trout in the river or on the lake. Wake up in a peaceful woodsy setting where elk, deer, the occasional moose and turkeys roam the property and are often seen in the meadow. Load up your ATV, side by side or motorcycle and head for Priest Lake right from here. It’s a 21 mile (40 minute ride) to Coolin, ID. Enjoy the back county and take some of the IDL roads along the way to explore scenic drainages and in July/August pick some luscious huckleberries (the state fruit of Idaho) for a pancake or milkshake treat. In the fall, a nice central location for hunting camp. Want to go skiing or enjoy the summer lift ride? Head up to Schweitzer Mountain, about an hour drive away (38 miles/65 mins). The city of Sandpoint and Lake Pend Oreille (Idaho's largest lake) are a half hour away (26 miles/33 mins) and Silverwood Theme Park in Athol, ID less than an hour away (36 miles/52 min).

This is a very private and quiet place, more of a sanctuary and not a party place. The only thing you hear is nature, a breeze through the pine trees, the birds, and the creek. This property was and is an organic permaculture farm in the forest. There are two orchards and an organic garden. The water is from a spring. The La Luna cabin is no longer off grid, but if the power does go out, it's a great place to be.. Hot Showers at my cabins are private and outdoors. There's nothing more wonderful than a hot spring-fed shower. The toilets are composting. (No water is wasted here)! Two of the cabins were built from the trees on the property by the first family that lived here in the earlier 1900s. The Birds Nest cabin was originally a tool shed that needed a LOT of Love to be in the condition that it is today. It does have power, running water and wi-fi. There is the option to take an acrylic painting class, banjo, guitar or fiddle lessons, paddleboard lessons, and have a real old-timey campfire with a glass of wine or two with live music performed by our famous Fiddlin Red on the fiddle, banjo, and guitar. Your experience here may change your life forever! We haven't added all the experiential options yet, so if there is something you are interested in please inquire. Every year we make it more and more magical and interesting. It's four miles up a county-maintained dirt road and one mile to a non-motorized lake. I can't see my neighbors, but they are awesome artists and musicians and some of them are off the grid! If you're bringing a pet, they must be on a leash and be quiet pets. If you are bringing a child they also need to be quiet and respectful. I want to keep my neighbors and my other guests happy with a peaceful atmosphere. Thank you!

This cozy, partially screened guest hut is situated on 200 sweeping acres of pastureland and steep, rolling hillsides. Hut is 100% off grid Iron Mountain Ranch features the owner's hand built straw bale house which is run off solar power, a friendly herd of horses along with a few cats and three dogs. (look up the ranch social media accounts online for additional pictures). Since this hut is built with partially screened walls and partial solid walls, you should consider the season when requesting a booking. I will accept bookings starting but even in May the night time temps can be cold. Checking the local Northport, WA weather forecast can give you an idea of what weather we will be expecting. Please consider this luxurious tent camping as there is no heat source in the hut, no electricity or running water. Please bring lanterns, flashlights, headlamps etc. The futon is a queen size and I can provide sheets and bedding but prefer you bring your own if possible ***There is a very limited supply of potable water on the property so you are required to pack in your drinking and cooking water. Washing and shower water is provided.*** In the early spring and late fall we cover the screened walls of the hut with clear window plastic so that the nights are not very cold inside the screen house. We provide a propane buddy heater that is safe for indoor use to help keep the space warm for you!! A hot water shower with equally impressive views is close to the straw house but still as private as you need it to be. Once owned by the Lael family (whom the road is named after), this land supported lots of horses in it's past. The Lael family homsteaded this area, raising horses on their acerage and the original Lael house is still standing on the lower section of the property. Old and beautiful apple, plum, cherry and pear trees still thrive in the orchard they planted along with massive willow trees. I'm honored to continue the Lael's love for the equine with my own herd of horses. Horseback riding is available upon request and for an additional fee of $75 per person for a ride.

2 nights at Daisystation

Went on our first camping venture (11yr old and I). Even my kiddo remarked on the beautiful scenery. The cabin was cozy and had a power outlet. We were able to experience our paddleboards for the first time with the water so close. Keep in mind that there is a steep stairway to the dock, but we managed several trips up and down it. You will hear passing traffic with the close road, but we barely noticed with all the fun we had and the scenic greatness! No one occupied the other cabin so we had a lot of space to ourselves. There was a most lovely gal who lived on-site, though. I can't say enough about how wonderful and helpful she was! Oh, and we saw animals and my son was happy to get photos of a stag walking by. Already considering a return visit.

The hostess is WONDERFUL! Very responsive and will bend over backwards to accommodate or help in any way she can. The bunkhouse is adorable and had everything I could possibly need. I know that if I had needed something more, the hostess would provide! The river is literally just down the drive and the setup along the river is perfect! Floating, water shoes, sunscreen, bug spray, shade, fire pit (with a chimney so it’s safe to use!). She even decorated for the 4th! We can’t wait to go back!!

We've been coming here for a few years now and my family and I always have so much fun! The craft table especially is always so much fun and great for kids. Charlon the caretaker of the property is very nice and always makes sure we have everything we could possibly need. Everything is thought of from the shower to the nets around every bed to keep bugs away while sleeping. This campsite promotes creativity and self expression and is the perfect place to unplug and have fun!

Weekend Trip to Wee Place in the Woods

We had the most pleasant stay yet at A Wee Place in the Woods. We did plenty of crafting, fire making, outdoor cooking, walking, and snoozing! We again reserved the Raven’s Nest this year. It’s perfect for our small family and the closest nest to the magically cool outdoor kitchen and adorable bathroom. Yes, it’s adorable 😆 I think all of A Wee Place is aesthetically pleasing. We had a wonderful weekend at Wee Place. The art center was a big hit and the accommodations were just the adventure we were looking for, luxury camping. My kids are already planning our trip back next year!

3 nights at Little Spokane Riverside Retreat

This was our first stay with Hipcamp. It was so easy to book, check in, stay and check out. Easier than I expected. The bunkhouse was a great fit for our little family. We really enjoyed our time at the river, everyday!! We loved that our dog was able to come with us and we will definitely be coming back again!! Sara was super easy to stay with and shared some great local recommendations with us :) We fell in love with her dogs too!! The bunkhouse was really clean and the outside shit shack was too. Twas a great glamping experience ☀️😎❤️

Weekend Trip to Daisystation

We had an absolutely wonderful time at the Daisy Station Cabin! The location is stunning, but the hospitality really made it special. The host was fantastic, and we loved meeting Gretta, who lives on the property. She was so welcoming and made us feel right at home the second we got there. The best part of the property is definitely the beach. It genuinely feels like you have the whole place to yourself for a quiet, private retreat. We visited in late May when the water level was a little low, which just meant we got to take a short, scenic walk down to the water. They told us that by the 4th of July, the water level rises, so you won't even need to do the short hike! We were also really impressed with everything that was provided. The property comes with sleeping bags, pillows, blankets, outdoor chairs, and even a kayak to take out on the water. It made packing so much easier for us. If you’re looking for a relaxing escape near Colville National Forest where you can just unwind in nature and let your dog explore, this is the perfect spot. We can't recommend it enough and will definitely be back!

Weekend Trip to Sandpoint Mountain Tiny House

Beautiful tiny home. Loved the magical river just a walk through the forest away. If you look towards the forest, it feels very private. There is a road beside the site that has neighbors driving throughout the day. There's some logs propped up for privacy but there could be more logs. There is no parking...unless it's meant to be on a slant of the side of the road but it's pretty steep and I didn't want my car in a ditch so I parked sideways half on road half on slant. Besides parking and privacy, I loved this space. Centrally located to lots of outdoorsy stuff too.

Lori and her sweet pup, Nevada, are lovely hosts! The bed was so comfortable and I loved the sky lights. The cabin was the perfect size for a couple. I enjoyed the hot tub and watching the pretty sunset. I will be back!

Very lovely guy. There are neighbours, but still very quiet. While near the main house, it still feels like we're on our own. Basic amenities for "glamping" are all here, steaks and burgers with such ease that it's a mainstay. Cabin stays as warm as you need it. 10/10 would recommend, will come back.

1 night at Little Spokane Riverside Retreat

Sara’s cabin was a perfect last stop on our road trip. It was so clean, quiet, and cozy. The morning stroll through the property down to the river with the dogs was refreshing and peaceful. I wished I could have stayed longer! I would absolutely go back on any future Spokane trips.
