Once owned by the Lael family (whom the road is named after), this land supported lots of horses in it's past. The Lael family homsteaded this area, raising horses on their acerage and the original Lael house is still standing on the lower section of the property. Old and beautiful apple, plum, cherry and pear trees still thrive in the orchard they planted along with massive willow trees. I'm honored to continue the Lael's love for the equine with my own herd of horses. My personal home is a self built, solar powered Straw House. Situated on 200 sweeping acres of pastureland and steep, rolling hillsides, there is much to do on the property and in the area.

Iron Mountain Ranch Screen House
Wonderfulescape
My kids and I didn't want to leave! The property is spacious, with wonderful views and welcoming hosts. Anything we had forgotten, they were generous to lend us what we needed. The outdoor shower was an amazing experience, and among our favorites. The hikes are beautiful, and the creek was nice to cool off in. I highly recommend a stay at Iron Mountain Ranch!

Iron Mountain Ranch Screen House
We loved going out to Linday's Screen House. The views and property are quite amazing and we got to enjoy both beautiful sunrises and sunsets while staying here. This place is an animal lovers dream. We were able to visit kittens, dogs, and horses while we stayed here. The host was amazing about organizing a horseback trip for my boyfriend and I during our stay. This allowed us to see the property, and she was able to show us some super spectacular spots that we were able to visit on our own as well. The screen house was closer to the hosts than we had anticipated but the hosts gave us lots of space and were great about accommodating the semi-reactive dog that we had with us. If you are looking for an eco-friendly farm escape with spectacular views, this would be a fantastic choice.

Iron Mountain Ranch Screen House
The hosts were super nice. We loved seeing the animals and giving them treats. The screen house felt secluded even though it was close to the hosts house, and the honeysuckle was in full bloom so we had a lovely smelling stay and the rain on the tin roof was seriously relaxing. Their dogs were very well behaved despite our skittish puppy, and the hosts checked in regularly to ensure we had everything we needed. The weather didn't cooperate and it rained for a while each morning, but the hosts provided campfire supplies so we were able to warm up in the morning and dry out anything not in the screen house. The hosts were kind enough to share their local water spots and we had a great time in on the riverbank with nobody around. It felt special. The only downside if I had to give one is some of the trails they mapped out were overgrown and so halfway through we were bushwacking. The puppy had a blast, though, and got to confront a lot of new things in a fun way. Time and money we'll spent!
