Quarter Spring Farm is located in Liberty, TN on the western edge of the Cumberland Plateau. It comprises 63 acres of wooded ridges and hollows with exceptional hiking and distinct landscape features. Smith Fork Creek, which feeds Center Hill Lake, is visible from the campsite. Quarter Spring Farm’s history is murky and still being discovered. The house is over 100 years old. There are stone property walls that may predate the civil war. We believe this site was a Mississippian period settlement because of the large amount of artifacts we have found. Please note: there is no electricity at the dome. There will be a battery with a light and the option to charge your phone. There is no parking at the dome. The walk is uphill and takes about 5 minutes or so. This is still a tent, the dome is not insulated and is not 100% sealed. Bugs do get inside from time to time. I will also provide you with water for cleaning and at least a gallon to drink. Just let me know if you need more. If you can get here before it gets dark, that is the best. If you can’t, that’s ok, we’ll just be hiking in the dark. Luckily I know my way around pretty good.

The Property: Located north of Cookeville in the rolling hills and farmland, our property is on Spring Creek, a state scenic river. Situated between two waterfalls and featuring over half a mile of river frontage to explore. Float, fish and relax listening to the cascading water. Perfect for bird watchers- blue and green herons, ospreys, hawks, bald eagles and more. You may spot the creek critters- minks, beavers, and otters. Various types of bass, craw dad's and minnows are in the creek. We operate similar to a state park. We are open to the public from 10am-7pm, peak season. One bathroom has a shower with hot water, soap, shampoo/conditioner included. The restrooms are shared with our other listings. There are USB and regular outlets in the pavilion and WiFi. During warm season the outdoor kitchen is available as well. We also rent out a Suite which is located above the pavilion. Quiet hours are 10pm-8am. Pets are welcome as long as they are leashed and picked up after. Please note there is a gun range 2 hollers away and depending on the season, it can be heard from our property. Tent in the Trees Listing: Your tent site is built above the trail and overlooking the creek. The tent is equipped with a queen bed, linens, extra blankets & essential cooking gear. Our tent was fun, but a cabin was always the dream, and we are very excited to have our first cabin guests! Situated on one acre of our property, you will be provided with queen size bed, comfortable daybed, reading space, game area and a coffee station. We have a cedar outhouse with composting toilet, no showers, as the cabin is completely off the grid. Firepit with plenty of seating to hang around in the evenings, pretty wooded views from the cabin to wake up to in the mornings. The cabin will accommodate 4 adults, and we do allow you to bring your own tent if you choose to do so, as we allow up to 6 campers per night. REI BRAND tents for rent for an additional fee. Such a cool property. The views were great and it felt secluded and very relaxing. Becky was very warm and welcoming. It was raining while I was there but it was so green and lush. I loved all the repurposed stuff on the property and would definitely reccomend staying here. The little waterfall trail and sleeping in a trampoline tent definitely made this stay stand out.

Unique in all the world. I’m not aware of anything like it, although I’m sure there will be copies. This is the original.

Weekend Trip to The Falls at Sewanee Creek

Grant and Becky were fabulous hosts! Even with a rainy weekend our group had an amazing time! The pictures don’t do the waterfall justice and it’s just a quick 5 minute walk from the Outdoor Kitchen/Yurtle Campground. I HIGHLY recommend booking this particular site on the property even if you’re traveling with a small crew. We had 7 campers total and really enjoyed the perks of not having to pack any cooking utensils or gear. We just popped our food in the fridge/freezer and it was perfect! Especially for trips when the weather isn’t ideal you don’t have to worry about relying on a fire for your heat source. Grant and Becky were so kind and accommodating and we are already planning our next trip! A wonderful experience all around!

Weekend Trip to Quarter Spring Farm

My kids and I had the best time at the GeoDome! A much needed break from the city. We played games all night. But first enjoyed our hiked in dinner on the patio with the sunset. The rainstorm sounded lovely as it put us to sleep. Accommodations were comfortable. And the visits from the goats were a delight. We look forward to coming back in the fall. Hopefully to make use of the wood burning stove.

The Hawks Nest was entirely private and serene with enough space to stretch the legs and plenty comfortable. The amphibious choir joining the birdsong and gentle brook melody kept the thoughts on a very chill vibe.

I really enjoyed staying at Alice's place. The tent had everything you could possibly need. It was a comfortable and soothing sleep listening to the running water. The restroom facilities were clean and well stocked. Alice was very informative and a wonderful communicator. Our stay at the treehouse was absolutely beautiful. It was so peaceful and quiet, the perfect little getaway to relax and unwind. Waking up surrounded by the woods felt magical, and everything was clean, cozy, and well thought out. The hosts were amazing and made us feel so welcomed from start to finish. You can really tell they care about giving guests a special experience. Our hiking adventure to the multiple waterfalls was perfect. Our tent was cozy, spacious and warm. We will be back!

1 night at Quarter Spring Farm

The dome was a unique stay! The ambiance inside the dome was surprisingly homey. We got to enjoy a beautiful sunset and saw the goats and sheep on their morning walk about. The walk up to the dome is a little steep and rocky at first, but otherwise not too bad.

We cannot possibly recommend thunder dome any more enthusiastically! Our weekend was so relaxing. Heather greeted us upon arrival and helped us get everything to the dome. The dome itself is perfectly cozy and quaint. Wood stove was so nice and warm on a chilly spring night, and the bed was comfy. This is THE definition of glamping. And the property is gorgeous with several trails into the woods. Last but not least, their goats are absolutely adorable, and one even bonded with us and followed us back to the dome. Absolutely perfect place for a weekend getaway in nature!
