Maple Grove Farm

7 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents20 acres · Fallston, MD
Maple Grove farm is a twenty acre preserved livestock and hay farm in Harford County Maryland. It is home to sheep, alpaca, an old horse, chickens , dogs, and a cat or two. The world headquarters for Remsberg Inc Photo Studios is in the older farmhouse on the property and we lead photo safaris and workshops in Africa and England through the year. Our crack team of Border Collies are here to assist you with all your outdoor activity needs from frisbee tossing to ball throwing. Gather around the fire under the stars and listen to the sounds of sheep doing whatever it is sheep do with one of our loaner dogs at your feet and horses grazing in the sunset on the hill. When the weather is nice we occasional show movies by the barn drive in style and try to have one or two outdoor concerts each season. We are only three miles from W42 (Fallston Airport) if you are flying in. Nearby there are hiking trails and a swimming hole at Gunpowder Falls State Park one mile away. Boordy Vinyards down the road has a farmers market Thursdays and wine tastings other days or get homemade ice cream at Prigel Creamery just past it. The Draper Property

2 sites · RVs, Tents130 acres · Milford, DE
Tent, Teardrop, and camper van styles only because of low hanging branches on the camp road. No kids of any age, including teenagers. No porta potty is on-site this year, you must have a camp toilet. The property is 130 acres, a 66-acre field. This property is a forager's dream. I've got everything here. There is an old borrow pit we always called the 'dirt pit' and about 60 acres of mature forest with creeks. The 'dirt pit' was my favorite swimming hole in the 70s but the pines have grown up around it and now it looks like a pond in the woods. There are two ponds and the land in between is the perfect place to camp. That campsite is called 'Between The Ponds.' I added a second campsite, 'Top of The Pond', which overlooks the larger pond. I only have 2 campsites with plenty of space dividing them. 'Between the Ponds' is the best campsite in Delaware. Lots of wildlife. including possible screaming foxes in the middle of the night, tons of bald eagles and hawks, turkeys, deer, box turtles, snapping turtles, and snakes. Bring tick repellent. Very primitive camping... all you get is tables, chairs, and a fire ring. The property is close to town so there is some noise, but the camps (only 2) are very private.
