Unique experience and great host!
This place was awesome! The site was easy to get to and Jawn greeted us as we arrived. There was wood waiting for us at the fire pit but it was cold and rainy when we got there so we hurried inside, placed all our gear in the hidden storage in the floor and climbed into the heated bed to warm up. The bed was super comfy and clean. There was enough space between the tents that you didn’t impose on others and there was a great communal spot to have a fire and eat if you wanted. The next night the clouds disappeared and we were star gazing. This was such a great retreat. Having the bathrooms and showers(had liquid soaps and stuff) and spigot were great amenities. Jawn hooked us up to power before we got there since the weather wasn’t great and it was nice to be able to rely on the power & heated mattress during the cold. We had great conversations with Jawn as he worked a bit around the property. My dog loved getting out in nature but loved climbing into a big tent to sleep. We can’t wait to come back and hopefully book the whole site with a group of friends!

Pro's: The location is great, there's a nice view, there's plenty of firewood, and the hosts were very friendly (thanks for the brownies!). The restroom facility was warm and got the job done.
Cons: There were some unexpected issues with the water, the solar power wasn't sufficient (it didn't last an hour), and the tents aren't ideal for cold weather.
The hosts did their best to address the issues and they shouldn't be ongoing problems. I would definitely come back to this site but would wait until it's warmer out (it dipped to an unseasonable twenty degrees on our second night). If you go during cold weather months, prepare as you would for winter tent camping.

Awesome, unique place to stay!
The outpost was very nice...comfy bed, heated blankets, and a great view! The showers and bathrooms were also very nice, and like the outposts, finished in a clean, modern. John was super helpful when we arrived as well, so it's nice to see that the management really cares about your stay. I'll definitely be booking another stay at Moonbase!

Cool Camp site
Asides from the power going in and out in the middle of night, Sani was a great host and made sure we had what we needed. Grounds were clean and kept, great for summer

Stayed warm in the mid-20s!
We went to Moonbase over President's Day weekend, and it was a great experience! The temps were down to mid 20s one of the nights, and we were very cozy in the bed with the mattress heater (I would honestly advise you to not turn it too high, as we got hot very quickly!)
We just hung out there during the day reading and playing board games, and then made awesome fires each night to cook over and relax under the stars. I know Berkeley Springs is quite close, along with Cacapon park, but we just didn't get up there.
For tips, we did bring a little entry rug and slippers (to keep outdoor shoes outside) and since it was below freezing, Sani advised us the outdoor tap was off so we brought in a full water carrier with spigot to wash hands, fill the kettle, etc. We brought extra bedding but it wasn't needed.
I'd recommend to people that are into car camping but maybe you get sore sleeping on the ground, or else you want a simpler set up (no tent!) It's not glamping, but it's an easy set up and Sani is a great host!
