Mid October Update; Full moon weekend ahead!!!! And Autumn colors are nearing their peak!! So far, it looks like perfect Autumn camping weather ahead for this weekend the 23rd-27th. The river levels are dropping again, and fishing should be easier again by the weekend as the riverbank becomes exposed.
A few details about our sites in the general camping area: Sites 1, 3, 8,9,10,11 have 13x20 shade sails, 2,4,5,6,7 have 10x13 shade sails that are also weatherproof. For larger groups, I recommend any of the sites with the larger shade sails as they have a bit more space than the others.
Enjoy the nearly direct access to the CO Canal Historic Park and the kid friendly, serene stretch of the Potomac River we border. Choose from 11 similar sites available for your camping pleasure in our clover filled bottomland as well as our Hilltop sites for maximum privacy, exclusivity and star gazing potential. The surrounding old growth forest makes for a great hiking and biking as well as a very accessible and kid friendly cave to explore. All sites now have either 10x13 or 13x20 shade sails available to keep the afternoon sun at bay: recommended.
We have two kayaks on site free of charge. We have some life vests, but if you have your own, bring those along. The river's main beach located between sites 7 and 8, is shaded/filtered sun all day long while our smaller beach at site 1 is sunny most of the day and affords some of the nicest river lounging via a rock ledge that spans
4wd or All Wheel Drive are recommended. If it's been relatively dry, single wheel cars are 100% fine. We have ways to mitigate most weather events.
Please pre-order firewood and/or shade sails via a message to me when booking your stay and save the 18% "booking fee" or add them via the "extras" section for your site so I can have it waiting for you. $40 buys you a long night's ++ burn worth of well-seasoned hardwood. Cash venmo paypal zelle all accepted upon arrival. If ordering firewood using the "extra" feature, 1 load is $20.00 which is a 1/2 nights supply. Order 2 if you want a full night/morning supply. Brooklyn Heights Riverfront Campground
Slow down among the forests and river scenery of Tucker County, West Virginia. Our 36-acre campground has approximately 2,100 feet of Dry Fork River frontage, with wooded campsites, riverfront gathering spots and year-round stays near Parsons and Monongahela National Forest.
CHOOSE YOUR STAY
Pitch a tent in the forest, gather at a riverfront campsite, or choose a rustic cabin, the Bohemian Bus Retreat, our wood-stove tipi, or RiverCamp Lodge with its two glamping tents. RV1–RV4 offer electric and seasonal water hookups; RV6–RV10 are primitive RV sites without hookups. The former RV5 location is now RiverCamp Lodge.
Riverfront sites have different group limits: RF1 includes eight guests with a maximum of 12; RF2 includes 10 with a maximum of 16; RF3 includes six with a maximum of eight. The Bus has eight indoor sleeping spaces across two buses. The tipi has four cots, with outdoor tent space for additional registered guests. Check each listing for its sleeping arrangements, included guest allowance, total capacity and extra-guest charges.
RIVER DAYS AND FOREST EVENINGS
Enjoy the designated river access areas, fishing, wading, swimming, tubing and kayaking when conditions allow. Bring your hiking boots and bikes to explore nearby trails and the Hendricks pedestrian swinging bridge. River levels and currents change with rainfall; supervise children and choose activities appropriate to the conditions.
SHARED FACILITIES
Campground porta-potties and the Coffee Pavilion are available to guests. Coffee, tea and hot chocolate cost $2 per cup. The wood-fired sauna is booked separately, and firewood is available for purchase. Water systems are winterized November 1–April 15; plan accordingly and review your listing’s water details. Parsons is approximately four miles away for shopping and dining.
ARRIVAL AND GOOD NEIGHBOR GUIDELINES
Check-in begins at 12 noon; checkout is by 10 AM Follow the arrival instructions for your reserved site. Quiet hours are 10 PM–8 AM Pets must be leashed and supervised. Use designated fire rings, follow burn restrictions, and fully extinguish fires. Expect natural slopes, roots, rocks and changing ground conditions throughout this woodland campground.

Welcome to Mountain View Mini Farm!! Almost Heaven West Virginia. Where we have a few animals on the property and do some homesteading. On the property we also have a Ice-Cream Shack that is open to the public. Hours for the Ice-Cream Shack varies. We are close to Historic Berkeley Springs and love sharing this piece of heaven with people like yourself. If you do not like the big camp grounds and just want a nice spot with a view to pitch a tent, or set up your camper, then you found it . A little about Mountain View Mini Farm. We are just minitues outside of Historic Berkeley Springs WV and 15 minutes from Cacapon State Park. You will have Great Views of the stars from your site. The sites are not far from our barn, and we will leave one tractor bay open for you, just in case it was to rain and you want to use it as shelter. The sites are not perfect level so you will have to level your camper a little. You will have your own fire ring and picnic table, also you will have access to fresh water. You will need a good size water hose if your going to hook up water to your camper from site 1. We have electric hookups that are 20amp Only. There is a clean outhouse but no shower at this time. We are working on making a shower. There is plenty of room for outdoor yard games. You will hear a little road noise and we do have neighbors. You will see me and my family out working around and feeding animals at times. The hosts house is not to far from the campsites. This is just a peaceful piece of property on a mini farm to get away and relax and explore Berkeley Springs WV. We are also only 15 minutes to Cacapon River for Kayaking and Swimming. We are also only 15 minutes to the C&O canal for hiking and biking. We do sell firewood for $7.00 that's around 13 pieces of wood. There is cornhole by the ice-cream shack that you are welcome to play. There will be more things added to the property in the near future. So come on out to the mountains and be our guest.

We are surrounded by the Monongahela National Forest with many state parks available less than a 15 minute drive from the property. There are many remarkable places to see while you're visiting; Cranberry Wilderness area, Watoga State Park, Bear Town State Park, Droop Mountain Battlefield State Park, the Highland Scenic Highway + a little further North up 219 is Snowshoe Mountain Ski Resort; a favorite for skiing + snowboarding, mountain biking, music (4848 Festival) + many other outdoor activities!

Our favorite Hipcamp spot so far!! We plan to return very soon. The water is close enough to hear but not too close to worry about our 2 year old making it in the water. The shower house is amazing. Bathrooms are super clean. Loved riding our bikes on the greenbrier trail. Beautiful all around. RV CAMPERS!! - the gps took us a route that was not rv friendly. We made it with our camping trailer but I could definitely see it being a problem for a big unit. The route coming from Hillsboro is our favorite, you just go down to the hack horners store to turn around and you have easy access to the sharp turn road.

We stayed at site 5. It was a great first experience with our 3 kids (age: 6,4,2). Site 5 has a little cut though path to the trail and the river, but there is also very easy access on either side of the end sites (1 and/or 11). Greg and his daughter Elise were so sweet, responsive, and very kind hosts. Our kids had an amazing experience playing in the river, walking along the trail, and visiting the cave. What a wonderful property and we will definitely be back for another stay. Great for families and large groups.

Took my brother in law and my 22 month old son camping for the first time ever. This was my first Hipcamp experience and I must say that I loved it. Greg does an amazing job communicating and making sure his guests are comfortable and well accommodated. Being right off the C&O tow path is an added bonus and the little beaches are easily accessible and great for kids. I would highly recommend staying here and I will be returning in the near future.

What a pretty campground!
Campground is clean, level and well maintained. Grass was freshly mowed, roads flat, graveled and free of ruts and puddles. The building were all in good repair with fresh paint and no trash. A covered pavilion is present in the center of the camp with picnic tables, accent lights, and an actual porcelain farm house sink for cleaning dishes. The pavilion had multiple outlets for charging phones or things like e bikes.
One of the highlights of the park was a new concrete block restroom, with lights, fresh paint, actual flush toilets, sink, hand soap and a solid locking door. No need to dodge cobwebs in an open outhouse. There is a shower with hot water that I did not use.
The area itself is very quiet and peaceful. Tall, mature trees and a babbling brook providing sleeping music along one side of the park. The park provides a rack of split firewood. There is an abundance of downed firewood in the area for the necessary kindling. Each camp site has a well pump, metal fire ring and full sized picnic table. The fire rings are a perfect height for a cooking grate.
The campground is located on an absolutely beautiful stretch of the Greenbriar river. I booked this particular campground because it is centrally located on the 77 mile Greenbriar river bike trail. The campground is about 12 miles north of the Droop mountain tunnel, and 20 or so miles south of the Sharp Tunnel and bridge. The bike trail is extremely beautiful and follows the river. The riding surface is hard packed dirt that is well maintained, with numerous bridges and tunnels to ride through. I camped the second week of October and the trees were just starting to show their fall colors
I booked RV campsite #7 to ensure electrical connection for our ebike chargers. That proved to be unnecessary due to the outlets in the pavilion. The RV panel had 50 and 30 amp RV plugs as well as a dual 120V outlet
There is a nice store that offers minor bike repairs within walking distance of the camp. Their coffee was quite good, the store was clean and staff friendly .
Take note the campground is in a valley with no cell service. It is a 10 minute drive to higher ground to find service. I would suggest downloading off line maps to your phone for the surrounding drive in. We drove in from the north via 220/93/28, a gorgeous drive by the way, and nav data was intermittent.
There are plenty of gas stations in the surrounding area. The town of Marlington, a few miles north, has full facilities, including a sporting good store and an interesting looking restaurant that we didn’t get a chance to explore. There are also some rental cabins on the river right outside the campground, in case one needs a respite from bad weather.
I would recommend taking in the views from Droop Mountain battle field a short drive away. Very nice.
Highly recommend this campground and may make it a regular event!

Delightfully peaceful, comfortable, well designed campground. The host provides clear, precise directions and instructions, which are necessary because of the otherwise confusing route to get there--i.e. you physically have to go to the store parking lot to turn around, because of the tight switchback angle of the access road.

We camped late in the season so there were not many other campers around. Not sure how noisy it would be in peak season. Our time was quite quiet. We had two tents and two vehicles which had more than enough space at the site. There was an open area above us where we could really see the stars when it was clear. Other camp sites were not right next to us like in some of the state parks. We enjoyed our evening walk along the river. Most of all we really, really liked the quick access to the Rail-to-Trail. We rode most days enjoying the scenery. There is quite a difference in the standard of the bathrooms and the showers. They are more than adequate but the updates to the bathrooms really stands out. Remember, there is no trash service. Pack it in and out. One thing - please do not smoke in the bathrooms. The smell lingers for days.

We had a fantastic time! The spots were level and the creek was incredibly beautiful. Lots of green space and we even enjoyed a trip to the nearby Wally‘s bar and Grill, also operated by the same owners. We plan on coming back soon as this is a slice of heaven and a very special experience.
The owners are a fantastic couple and we were so glad to meet them.
A couple of notes for future travelers:
1. If you’re hauling a trailer or toy hauler, I would recommend you take 92 up to Newburg and then over to the address. If you come via Irontown Road, the turn into the Hipcamp is a very sharp right hand turn, which we did not feel safe making.
2. Connectivity for the entire area does not exist through traditional cell towers. Once you arrive at the Hipcamp, they do have Wi-Fi available upon request. This means that you may want to screenshot maps or directions prior to entering the vicinity before you lose connectivity.
