The property is very secluded, but only 2 hrs from D. C. and Baltimore. The space can accommodate 5 tents comfortably or a few small campers (w/o hookups). Please note- I only book one group at a time. You'll have plenty of privacy! Spend your day bird watching on the river deck, put up your hammock and chill, go hiking or mountain biking at Cacapon State Park, take the kayaks out and paddle around, go fishing, or take a float trip. I can provide info on put in/take out spots depending on how long you'd like to float. I have 3 kayaks available for your use, or BYO if you'd like to venture further outside of the property lines. There is one big fire ring for cooking and/or bonfires, along with a large stationary stand up charcoal camp grill. There is also a small communal shed down at camp that contains extra camping supplies, etc.. feel free to use use and put back and or/ contribute to it! :) This spot is close by to Berkeley Springs, Paw Paw Tunnel, Cacapon State Park, and other nature preserves. More hiking, biking, restaurants, spas, antiquing- all within a beautiful 20 minute drive if you wish to venture out. There is a cabin on the property. I will more often be home than not, I will communicate with you about that around your stay. Sometimes I"ll come down to the river frontage if I drop in for a float .Also, we all get around on four wheelers and UTV's. So you will hear them from time to time. If I am home, please feel free to come up if you have any concerns/questions or to say hi! :) *Please note, you can normally get to this site without a 4 wheel drive vehicle. However, when the river is high it will sometimes flood the low water bridge where it crosses the Cacapon. If this is the case during your stay, I will provide all necessary information regarding projected river levels and directions. I will also offer a full refund if the bridge is impassable. The sun rises up behind the view and lets you see just a little further. It is nothing short of amazing. The sunrises are always different and some are the most beautiful you have ever seen. The mornings sunrise and the stars out here on a clear night are two of the best things this mountain has to offer. It will not disappoint. We can accommodate up to a 35ft RV. The best part is no long walks, you can park at the campsites and camp on flat ground. Each campsite features chairs, a bench, a swing and a camp cooktop that is fueled by your campfire. Nothing is needed to use the cook tops other than a campfire. The local area has lots to do. Several National Parks, rivers and trails. View stars as only those miles away from any light can experience. The crickets and whippoorwills will sing you to sleep. Google link, trail map, and campsite location map will be emailed the day before arrival. The onsite Porta John is cleaned on the 15th every month. Being in a clear house in the woods gives you the feeling of being fully immersed in nature. Having the outhouse, shower, & sink allows you to also feel clean & comfortable. There is electricity & wifi, which is a plus because otherwise we did not get any service. Hosts live on the property & were responsive. We enjoyed the river. Very peaceful.

Weekend Trip to MountainTop

I spent a few days here with my son and it was wonderful! The cabin is great, and has everything you need. The deck facing one of the ponds is wonderful and a great place to sit and hear the fish jumping out of the water, the frogs, and birds. The river is fun and was one of our favorite spots. My son looked and found lots of salamanders, snails, and fish.

The bunkie cabin was exactly what I needed during my visit to WV. The bed was comfortable, the sunrise was beautiful, and the location was incredibly convenient. John (host) gave me great recommendations on where to eat and what to do for fun. So much so that I extended my trip an extra day! I ran into John out and about and could really tell that he is apart of the community. I would highly recommend this campsite to nature lovers that like a little extra comfort. I can’t wait to visit again!

Our time at The Invisible House was exactly what we were hoping for - it was not only peaceful, but we had everything we needed for a restful 3 nights and 4 days. Even though we had planned to spend an evening in Berkeley Springs, we opted to sit by the campfire each night and just be swallowed up in nature! Lorena was a gracious hostess, making sure we were comfortable and sharing their beautiful property with us. What an experience! We would love to visit again!

The cabin was so cute and smelled like pine! And the hot shower area is nestled amongst the trees. I love being in the woods and having access to the forest air so I loved it. I could hear some cars but it didn't bother me!

We had a wonderful time at Ed's cabin and hope to return soon! The cabin was cute and cozy, providing just enough space for my wife, myself, and our dog. The property it sits on is really the star of the show! Its clear that so much care and attention has been put into the surrounding property to cultivate a truly wonderful and special ecosystem for the plants and wildlife.

Really appreciated this simple almost primitive cabin in a time of much needed meditation. Stars, walks, fishing, and nights around a fire. Go around to the back patio and youll find a hammock and fire table. Alot of history and things to check out. Wildlife and much more. If you love being in the wilds and would appreciate electric too. This is the place for you. Generous and attentive host. Hope it stays wonderful and rustic!

4 nights at Brooklyn Heights Riverfront Camp

Incredible, family friendly campground. The river is perfect for fishing and also perfect for young children to play in. Gorgeous, serene location with minimal mosquitoes which was a shock! Firewood is very affordable. As in VERY affordable. Porta potty is the cleanest one I have ever used in my life. I plan to go back next year with my crew as my only mistake in booking a campsite at Brooklyn Heights was not staying a few days longer.

I can’t say enough about this place! We haven’t relaxed like that in a while! The aframe was secluded and quiet. Grate was provided to cook over the fire. The dogs loved all the smells and the bed was comfy! We both said we will be making this our regular spot when we need a weekend away! Also the owner was super responsive if we had any questions!

Weekend Trip to A 1000 Miles from Nowhere Cabin

This is the best Hipcamp I’ve been to, the ambiance and decor in the cabin was perfect it is secluded no one will bother you here. Down the road is the lake, caught 4 bass in 15 minutes and chilled in the paddle boat. It’s West Virginia at its finest and the owner is so nice and accommodating! I’ll definitely be back and will keep in touch.

Pablo & Lorena were amazing! They are so kind, caring, accommodating and helpful. The site was perfect! I took my 93 year old mother and she had the time of her life. She slept better than she has in a long time. The invisible house was so tranquil and the beds were so comfy. Lorena & Pablo’s took the tubes and kayak to the river for us and offered to pick us up down the river. This was a trip she will never forget!
