Good communications for a last-minute booking. Easy to find. Site is gravel, flat. Surroundings are forest...spotted a deer on a trail shortly after arriving. It doesn't take much to up-scale a Johnny-on-the-spot - level, clean with a light that comes on when you enter is appreciated.

Exactly what we were expecting. Perfect stay for a vacation at Silverwood (~20 minute drive). Large, level site covered in pea gravel to keep clean and dry. Plenty of firewood available, potable water from a tap, and the cleanest porta-potty ever.

We had a really nice stay here. Carol and Randall were very friendly and made us feel very welcome, sharing loads of information about where to go and what to do in Sandpoint. The site was great, and the bathroom was super clean. Plus, we loved all of the birds. We would definitely stay here again!

Quiet and secluded site in the trees with picnic table and fire pit. Very communicative hosts. Port-a-potty on site as well but didn't use. Drive into site between houses but they are far enough away to not be an issue. Would stay again! Thank you.

The End of the Road Campsite
Carol and Randall's place was wonderful for us. Directions to the place we well laid out, and it was a beautiful spot. We were there because it was close to Silverwood, however, this could be a destination spot as there were trails, a nice view of the sky from the campsite, and relatively close to water.
There is another site right beside this one, so quiet hours are in place.
I would recommend making sure arrival was during the day if you have a pull behind camper. We arrived at dark, and made it work-- Carol and Randall were VERY accommodating and gave us options if we were unable to park our camper on the spot in the dark.

We had a great experience. Carols was wonderful. She had a little project for our kids to paint some rock for a caterpillar she is making in the yard. We all had a great time. Thank you!

Carol and Randall were fantastic hosts! Their campsite is wonderful, very level, with a great firepit and table. Great shade and some wonderful hiking trails all around the property. Highly recommended.

We enjoyed our stay in Sagle. The property was nice and quiet. The site was bigger than it looked in the pictures with updated fire pits and lots of shade. A must stay if you are in the area and want something quieter than a large campground.

This was a great little spot ! Nice and secluded and a great area for our tent and car. The bathroom was nice and clean, the fire pit well kept and not a ton of noise pollution. Sandpoint is just down the road with great restaurants and beach areas. We did find some poison oak/ivy/sumac around the site but as long as you stick to the pad your good 👍🏻

Second time staying here, it was even better than the last. The property is beautiful and Carol & Randall are super accommodating and friendly. They have a great pup who wanders the property to say hello. There are fire pits, picnic tables, level ground for tents, the cleanest and best smelling port-o-potty I’ve ever seen, spot for trash, and a firewood available. The property butts up against public land with trails and beautiful sights to see. 10/10 recommend!

Great private spot, beautiful trees. Very nice and clean portapotty! The only downside was the train horns running through the night. But overall a very comfortable spot!

This is a lovely and comfortable spot. I would highly recommend it! The hosts are very communicative, considerate and welcoming. The camp spots are a ways up the hill behind the houses, nicely tucked into the trees, and obviously well taken care of. The porta potty was immaculate, and there's a hand wash station with it. They had a nice stack of firewood and handy fire starters waiting for us by the picnic table. The two spots are next to each other, but there are some trees and a wooden privacy screen type thing in between. You can hear the other campers if they are being rowdy, but visually they feel pretty private. We had 6 adults and an 8 month old camping in one site, and had enough space for two tents, a pickup, a van, and a sedan. We set up camp, went into sandpoint for a concert during the music festival, and came back here to crash after. It worked out perfectly. Its an awesome piece of property , thanks so much for sharing it Carol and Randall! I'm sure we'll be back.

This is a fantastic listing. Carol & Randall are great hosts that I have enjoyed getting to know. They have certainly gone above and beyond for their guests in putting these sites together. Located in a beautiful area with endless outdoor recreation opportunities. The site is immaculately maintained, complete w the cleanest porta potty I’ve ever seen. The site has gravel laid, a picnic table, hammock and a fire ring. They even provided firewood! As if that wasn’t enough, they kindly allowed me use of their kayak one afternoon. On the way back that afternoon, coming up their drive, deer were feeding on the apple tree. Beautiful stargazing and restful sleep. I will be back annually. Carol & Randall - Thank you guys so much for doing this. You are appreciated.

We really enjoyed our stay at Carol and Randall's place. They had an excellent campsite set up, including fire pit and some complimentary wood & fire starter to get us started, as well as porta-potty and sink to wash hands with soap and towels. We appreciated the affordable price, personal touches they provided during the stay and the amenities that often exceeded what some campsites provide. For dry camping it was a perfect spot to stay and conveniently located close to Sandpoint! We will definitely look to see if it is available on our next trip out to the area!

Carol & Randall were friendly and accommodating hosts, we had a blast tent camping! The two sites are near each other but we had no trouble with noise or keeping each other up or anything and our site felt private and comfortable. Clean and good smelling bathroom and hand washing station, potable water spigot, picnic table, firewood and fire starters, and a nice fire pit to relax by as well as a hammock. Beautiful property with hiking trails, super close to the lake and Sandpoint area. I’d definitely stay here again!

The Woods In Sagle
Carol and Randall were very helpful and kind. They provided all the fire supplies, a clean port-a-potty with a hand washing station, and even delicious well water to drink. The space was a gorgeous woody plot equip with trees perfect for hammocking. It’s located close to town, where good food and a beach with great swimming can be found.

We chose Sandpoint months ago as the starting point for our bicycle tour around the Selkirk Loop. Our accommodations plans fell through in Sandpoint on a busy Saturday evening. We had stayed at Hipcamps in the past and decided it would be a better option than a hotel anyway. We found The Woods in Sagle and it was exactly what we were looking for. I booked and was contacted by the hosts within minutes.
We drove to Sagle down a quiet forested backroad to the location and when we saw the property we were immediately happy with our choice. Our hosts Carol and Randall met us as we came up the driveway. They were so welcoming and kind and led us to two beautiful campsites up a short gravel road behind their house. The sites were level on fresh gravel and had really nice brand new picnic tables and fire pits. They were surrounded by peaceful woods with insects chirping and birds singing. There are train tracks down the road, but we barely noticed the trains that went by only occasionally in the distance.
Our host made sure we had everything we needed and Randall gave us very effective fire starters for our fire pit. We had a lovely conversation with them until it began to get dark and it was time to eat some dinner and go to bed. We fell asleep in our small tents to the sound of the insects and barred owl hoots in the trees.
Our hosts even let us park our vehicle at their property while we rode the loop. This was so very nice as we still we’re trying to figure out where we might

Thank you so much for the great tent site. I fully enjoyed my evening. My host supplied firewood and fire starter for a super quick fire. I enjoyed the stars while watching the fire burn. I recommend others try this spot. You want be disappointed. Thank you!
