The property is right after 519 it is a large open lot that leads down to the river. There is a black military vehicle parked on the very end close to the house. So there are two sections 1st is a flat section where you have plenty of room to set up tents and RVs. It is right off the road, and any car can get to the site with ease. The 2nd section is more wooded and has access to the river. You are welcome to tent camp here it is just getting an RV down there and out can be a challenge I don't recommend it. Also, the bridge across the river is the neighbors and so is the property across the river. There are roughly 4 campsites on the property but can camp where you want really. Large flat spot above the river that has access to the water. Half of the property is a flat spot for RV's and tents the 2nd half is more green, woody and has access to the river. There is a deeper spot in the river that is 3-4 feet deep and is perfect to lounge in during the hot parts of the summer. Please pack out what you pack in and keep the place nice for the next camper. Beautiful views of the Idaho sunsets from the hill overlooking Glenns Ferry. 34 acres of peace and quiet to enjoy local wildlife, stargazing, hike around, or just use as a base to explore the local area, go fishing, hunting, or visit the winery in town. NOTE: As we are near the interstate and town there are some constant road noise sounds, a train some nights, and field lights at the school and across town when games are being played at night. Learn more about this land: Campsite is a 4 acre pasture on 34 acres of land with a small grove of silver poplar trees that holds a prepared firepit as well as a rope hammock and small sitting area. Lots of birds and wildlife are around (owls, hawks, hummingbirds, deer, endless quail and rabbits, the occasional coyote or fox) and with easy access to the town and I-84 for exploring.  Picnic table and horseshoe pit located at site. We are just a few minutes drive from town where there is a grocery store, several bars, Six Creeks Mercantile where you can grab a great cup of coffee, a golf course, Y-Knot winery, and fishing on the Snake River. This is a great location for exploration of the area, birding, fishing, or hunting up near Bennett Mountain. Only 20 min drive from Bruneau Sand Dunes. We are also very conveniently located off of I-84 for road-trippers passing through. LGBTQIA+ friendly, Pet friendly.  We are a tent and car camping only site as we do not have facilities for a trailer and the pasture is on a slight slope so will not be able to find a level spot for a larger trailer. Small travel trailers will be allowed, but do note there are no power hookups. We have firewood available and will try to have a small supply at the firepit, but if you would like extra or want to guarantee some available please add it on. I stayed one night each way on a trip. I arrived after dark and left in the morning and just needed a safe spot to sleep. I did look around a bit before leaving and thought the setup was cute & functional. Communication was great. It’s right off the main road so great for a quick stop. Someone mentioned road noise and sure if you are sitting outside you can hear traffic from the highway below. But I didn’t find it that noticeable. She has ear plugs available too but I didn’t need them. I couldn’t hear it from inside the van.

Wonderful pasture and grove of trees for sleeping and being in nature and reading books and relaxing. Great guidance and quick friendly replies from the host. Great for dogs and kids and families or anyone really. We decided to skip the dry camp food prep and ate most meals in Glenns Ferry which is a 7 minute car ride into town.

We had such a wonderful stay at this campsite! Our hosts were so welcoming and made everything easy from the start. The site was quiet and peaceful, with waterfront access that made mornings and evenings extra relaxing. Having water, electricity, and sewer hookups at the site was super convenient, so it felt comfortable while still being close to nature. One of the best parts was paddling across the cove to a cute little burger bar—such a fun and unique way to grab a casual meal. It really made the weekend feel like a getaway. Perfect spot for a long weekend! We will definitely be back! Thanks again!

Proximity to the river was wonderful and our dog loved having a swim! The tent spot had ample shade and perfect trees for our hammock too! As others commented, you can hear the road traffic but it was never bothersome. The site was great for our small family celebration!!

The location with lake access is amazing, as are hosts. Located in a quiet bay on Lake Pend Oreille you can swim, paddle board or just relax and watch the stunning sunset. However you get there, visit the marina across the bay for delicious smash burgers and some of the best french fries available (ignore the Google pics… those are old news). A few things to know… the water has iron, which overwhelmed my 3-filter system. It does have a smell and will stain your shower. The site is large and level, but has large crushed rock so bring a mat to put down. Verizon cell service is almost zero and the site backs up against a hill that blocks Starlink. Bring a long cord to clear the trees.

Excellent space! This is a truly beautiful and peaceful setting—perfect for a relaxing getaway. The site is thoughtfully laid out, and the dock is a wonderful addition—we spent hours enjoying the water, lounging, and taking in the views. We bright our boat and really made it with it. It’s scenic, serene, and has a welcoming feel. The 50 amp hookup is a great amenity for those who need it (just note that it is only 50 amp, so bring an adapter if you need one). The water spigot is a bit farther from the pad than usual—I had two hoses and it worked perfectly. Also, the last half mile of road is a single-lane stretch, so be prepared for possible oncoming traffic. Overall, this is a top-notch Hipcamp site and we’re already looking forward to returning. A peaceful spot with thoughtful touches and a great setup.

My son and I had a comfortable stay on Anna’s land. Fun little nooks and things to check out during the stay. We saw all sorts of small wildlife. It’s near the highway but it didn’t bother us after our long day. There were provided ear plugs in the gazer hut for light sleepers along with some pamphlets to keep you busy. We saw Milky Way along with the meteors and satellites cruising by. We would definitely stay again if our road trip took us this way.

Currently, the property has 3 full RV hook-up with water, 30-50 amp power and septic (Site #1 - 30 amp, Site #2 - 50 & 30 amp, Site #3 - 50 & 30 amp). There is also 1 campsite for either a vehicle or tent, with access to complete bathhouse and shower facilities. Cactus River Ranch is located 12 minutes outside of Salmon, Idaho along the Salmon River. The sites have river front views with your own private river access. Hiking and mountain biking options are available right out the back door up Henry's Creek trail. Amazing fly fishing or bird watching location! Williams Lake is located 6 miles up the road and offers a variety of recreation activities including fishing, swimming, paddle-boarding, canoeing, or sight seeing. If you are looking for an area that is out of town, THIS IS IT!! We also have overnight stalls available for horses. Please make sure RV tanks are empty in order to hook up to septic. No RV dump station on site. With the river location, we get very windy conditions along the river corridor. Awnings can easily become damaged during these conditions. Please take notice and consider putting awnings away so that they don't get damaged. Along the same lines, please don't have campfires if the winds are high. Make sure your dogs are on a leash. We have mules on the property that DO NOT like dogs. This is for the safety of your dog. No fireworks on the premises. We do have a couple small trash cans that get dumped on Thursdays...that being said....we are NOT a dump. If trash cans are full or you have large items, please haul your trash to Lemhi County Landfill. They are open Monday-Friday: 7am-5:15pm and have dumpsters open on the weekend.

The campsite is off-the-beaten path so you'll be away from the crowds, yet the site is still close to other area attractions like Lake Pend Oreille (10 min. drive), charming downtown Sandpoint (15 min. drive) and Silverwood Theme Park (30 min. drive). The beauty and allure of Mirror Lake led to it being featured in two Hollywood movies -- Dante's Peak (1997) and Mel (1998). The lake itself is excellent for fishing, and stocked with Kokanee, Brook Trout, Rainbow Trout, and Cutthroat Trout. The stocking is typically scheduled for the first week of June each year, so if you are an angler, it's best to come after June 7th for the best fishing. Paying homage to the Bigfoot legend in northern Idaho, the theme of this campground is all things Sasquatch! Can you find all 9 Sasquatch hiding throughout the campground? Swimming in nearby Talache Landing (a.k.a. Talache Beach) on the shores of Lake Pend Oreille is an absolute must-do. The views are absolutely stunning and the water is crystal clear -- and quite refreshing on a hot day. Fishing is best done in a canoe or small boat which can be put in at our campground dock (free) or at the nearby public boat ramp ($5 fee). Angell Creek Campground is located in beautiful Island Park Idaho. It has been in our family for over 50 years. We are surrounded by pine trees, and it is a quiet place to escape the noise of the world. It is a place to recharge and enjoy the outdoors. Our campsite is close to West Yellowstone and only 30 mi. from Yellowstone National Park. Island Park has a lot to offer including: boating, waterskiing, fishing, canoeing, swimming, hiking, trail riding and much more. All of these activities are within a few minutes away. We are in close proximity to highway 20 and easy access to services and dining. We have a very large parking area where you can park trailers and vehicles. We have about 3 acres and have 5 RV spots. We have a central sheltered picnic area and a big fire pit on each RV spot. Each pad is rented at $40 a night with provided 50 and 20 amp service with an adapter provided for 30 amp service. No water or sewer is provided. There is a porta potty on location from mid May until end of October. Must pack out all of your trash or be a accessed a cleaning fee per lot. Although wanting to keep this campground in a primitive state, we will be adding a few updates in coming years. Pets allowed on a leash only.
