This place was amazing!! Especially awesome was the fact that were the only campers on the redwood side, so it was silent the whole time. But even besides that, it’s such a beautiful hidden spot and the women there who helped us with check-in and such was so nice. The creek is also so beautiful. There is a large open field area but the three redwood campsites are secluded so your tent is hidden. I would come back here in a heartbeat and plan to in the future. The note on needing either 4WD or AWD is very true too…the road down to the campsite is steep and has deep ridges from winter rains so my 4wD got a workout!

We had such an amazing, peaceful, and memorable time here. It was the first time my girls went camping and they are hooked. It’s exactly what I wanted them to experience. Not a lot of people and just pure nature.
The duck eggs were a nice addition and we were so close to Bodega Bay. We will definitely be back again and again!

We loved camping on John & Lesley’s farm! Great hosts and even better grass fed beef. Tranquil meadows set against a beautiful redwood backdrop. 4WD definitely required for access to the campsites.

We stayed at redwood campsite #3 and had an absolutely lovely time at Salmon Creek. The sites are spacious and spaced quite far apart. Having access to the creek and various hiking trails was lovely. Our dog enjoyed having freedom to run around without worrying about bothering other guests. We'd be delighted to return again!
You definitely need a AWD / 4x4 car to get down to the redwood sites.

Site #2 was nice, right next to the road and a Honey Bucket. Couldn't find the trail to the animals. Difficult finding the campsites. Not much help from hosts. But still such a beautiful area, you can't go wrong. Sites clean and quiet.

Such a beautiful spot! The ranch is gorgeous, with lots of fun animals! John and Lesley were very kind and gave great recommendations for things to do nearby. The treehouse is secluded and has everything you need. We brought food to cook and used a camping stove, but there is a grill and a firepit with a grate. Bring firewood! It was stunning and so peaceful.

Absolutely incredible stay. The place is incredibly cozy, the amenities are beautiful and very functional and the property itself is a lovely place to wander. John and Lesley are fabulous hosts.

This is an amazing piece of property and the campsites feel right at home here - secluding and away from just about everything. Table, fire ring and plenty of space and privacy, this is a really great spot to get away for a night or two.

Incredible experience all around. The grounds were beautiful. It was fun getting to the site and the property leading up is also gorgeous. John & Lesley were extremely hospitable and helpful. I’m definitely coming back here again!

We stayed at #3 and it was perfection! The deck made tent camping more comfortable. The location was incredible and we had the place to ourselves for most of our stay. We lucked out with the weather and we were able to enjoy tons of spring flowers. Our dog had a great time running in the meadow. Next time we will bring our own porta potty.

Such an awesome spot! The campsites are located in a little meadow on a nearly 400 acre farm. I recommend having 4x4 to get down there. The dirt road is pretty steep and bumpy. We had a truck camper on which made it a little sketchier but we got down. Sites are well maintained as is the porty potty. Don’t forget to buy some duck eggs and meats on your way out

We stayed in Site 3; note that this is not the redwood grove in the photos, as that is site 1! But Site 3 was great; it offered privacy, had a deck for a tent (if you prefer that) and was closest to the creek! The only thing is that the toilet is a farther walk, but it worked out fine. John & Lesley gave clear directions and we found our site with no issues! Also - you definitely need 4WD or AWD. It was a lot of fun driving down the path to the campsite! Would love to stay here again!

The campsite was fantastic! It was secluded, clean, and John was nice enough to let our group borrow a pot to use to cook chili! This campsite is great for larger groups as you can reserve more than one campsite. The meadow was great for stargazing and other activities. The trails were nice and had lots of wildlife. I would definitely recommend this campsite and would love to return sometime in the future.

My family has camped at Salmon Creek Ranch before but this was out first time in the Eagle's Nest treehouse. Absolutely beautiful sleeping among the trees in a wonderful, warm room above the forest floor. We brought all of our camp cooking supplies as usual so were able to have great meals around the campfire and then retire to the treehouse to read and fall asleep in the evening. The treehouse site is situated wonderfully amid the ranch's trails between the creek below and the farm above.

Such a beautiful campsite! I absolutely loved our stay here, and the hosts were so kind and communicative. Our campsite was secluded and had lots of nearby paths. My only critique would be to simplify the drive instructions as it was a lot to read, but I do understand that some people may be confused by the road. Highly recommend this spot.

We had a really great 3 night stay at redwood camp 1! Really awesome campsite nestled in the big beautiful redwoods. Enjoyed walking the property. Saw an abundance of banana slugs and newts! Definitely need AWD/4x4 to access the site.

Campsite 2 is at the end of an open meadow, which allowed for more daylight than you'd typically expect in a forest setting. The site was equipped with a table and a fire ring in the open and some additional tent spots in the trees. The kids had an absolute blast! They loved exploring the surrounding trails in the woods, and the swing on-site was a huge hit.
While sites 1 and 2 are relatively close, it’s nowhere near as cramped as an official campground and the trees offer plenty of privacy. We didn't really hear the other campers. Cell service is very spotty, no Verizon and 1 bar AT&T, but for us that was more a blessing than a problem. Booking was a breeze, and the arrival process was seamless. I highly recommend this campground for anyone looking for a peaceful, nature-filled escape. We can’t wait to come back!

Nice, well maintained camping spot with convenient coastal access. Site 2 by the creek is extra sweet on account of redwoods and not right at the entry gate.
All was as good if not better than expected and considering bringing the whole family next year.
