Our 7-acre property in North San Juan features a mix of open meadow, mature trees, and young orchards. At the center stands a 350-year-old oak tree, surrounded by newly planted chestnuts, established lilacs, heritage pear trees, and old apple trees that still bear fruit. Campers are welcome to explore the land, including a unique rock outcropping that offers great views and a quiet place to sit. Whether you're here for a base to explore the Yuba River or just want a peaceful spot in nature, this is a relaxed and welcoming place to land.Welcome to the Lilac Grove, situated conveniently off of the main drive way. Nestled in a crown of lilac bushes, with cedar trees on either side, this parking spot is shaded and cozy. Ideal for self-contained van travelers who want a convenient base camp. Drinking water, power, and WiFi is available at this site. Parking is easy access, on mostly level unpaved ground. There is no dump site here. Quiet hours are 10pm to 9am. Pups are welcome but MUST be kept on a leash as we are close to the highway and have a small dog who gets scared when quickly approached by other dogs. Looking forward to having you!

Welcome to the Lilac Grove, situated conveniently off of the main drive way. Nestled in a crown of lilac bushes, with cedar trees on either side, this parking spot is shaded and cozy. Ideal for self-contained van travelers who want a convenient base camp. Drinking water, power, and WiFi is available at this site. Parking is easy access, on mostly level unpaved ground. Elite site, lodging & surroundings

Eco-friendly Tahoe Tiny House

Really awesome spot and elite lodging and value… the boxcar is fully built out for long term stays (you could easily live there full time) with the type of unique and high quality touches you only see in places built by owner as their own home rather than built to be rented… hosts are very chill and also helpful / available… Oregon creek is <5 min away and the best swimming / floating / hiking you can find the sierras, Yuba river is 10 min out and has epic fishing, paddling, hiking, etc… North San Juan is 5 min away with an awesome one of a kind brunch spot. Highly recommend

Best Hipcamp Experience Ever!!!

Eco-friendly Tahoe Tiny House

I stayed at the eco-friendly Tahoe tiny house at Home Sweet Oak and absolutely loved it. It’s a really cool spot—super accessible with any vehicle, which made things easy—and it somehow strikes the perfect balance between being private and still feeling like part of a welcoming community. The hosts were incredible—super kind, helpful, and genuinely good people. The tiny house itself was beautiful and cozy, and the outdoor shower? Unreal. One of my favorite parts of the trip. There are also great spots to explore nearby, like the river, and you’re still not far from more active, busier areas if you want to get out and do something. Highly recommend it if you’re looking for a relaxing, nature-connected stay without feeling totally off-grid. I’ll definitely be back.

Lilac Grove Camper Spot

Great spot right off the highway! Pretty area, and I didn’t find the highway noise to be a problem. Just be aware the campsite is right next to the house. but loved it!
