Canyon Creek - Tent Sites
Wouldn’t recommend for tent camping
The tent spaces available are in one large grass area. No privacy at all and zero shade. Additionally, there’s only 1 communal picnic table, not individual tables per campsite. You also cannot park at your space. Tent sites do not have water or power available. Only at the communal table. None of this was described in the listing. RV lots looked nice, though.
If you were planning on using the amenities, note they do not keep up the bathrooms. The cafe is only open a couple days a week and if closed, no ice available for purchase.

The camp was nice with a lovely pool and friendly staff. Shoutout to Eileen! She was amazing and extremely helpful.

The river is nice, but that’s it.
First thing, it was advertised by Hipcamp as a full hook up, not true, there is no sewage. Second, there are only few public campsites available for non members, in between the access roads, there no shade and tons of DUST. Never had that much dust in my whole life. Third, being next to the road/bridge, there is a metal cover at the connection which makes a big bang every time a car is passing over it. I know it’s not resort property/responsibility, it’s just a fact. What can be improved? Use pebbles on the access roads and water the roads to minimize dust. There is enough water in the river. Thank you!

Overall, the convenience of the pool and the nice bathrooms and showers were great, as well as the proximity to Lake Berryessa (we rented paddle boards)!
However, the tent camping feels like you’re pitching a tent in someone’s backyard because you are practically on top of the pools.
Make sure a MAINTENANCE employee shows you where you are allowed to pitch your tent, NOT the office employees—I was shown by an office employee where to park and to pick “any spot in the grass to the left of the pools” (viewed from the office across the street from the pools etc). Several hours later, after I had already set up most of my campsite, I was informed that I could not, in fact, camp there and I had to move everything about 200ft. Annoying but not the end of the world.

The campground has potential but the area we stayed was between the maintenance area and was not what we would hoped or paid for , the site was not ready and we can barely fit our 21 feet trailer

Everything was great, thank you! The location next to the river is really cool.
